154: Chapter 154 The Astounding Gap

"Not bad!"

Watching Liu Xuanfeng return to the Student ranks, Chen Mo spoke with a smile.

"It was just average, I can't compare to you!"

Liu Xuanfeng approached Chen Mo, but he extended his right hand toward Du Ming, his eyes filled with admiration.

"Hello, Big Boss. My name is Liu Xuanfeng."

Chen Mo: "..."

""

""

Du Ming looked at Liu Xuanfeng with a chuckle and also extended his right hand. "Hello, I've heard people mention you before."

"Hehe."

Liu Xuanfeng scratched his head and said sheepishly, "Please look after me in the future, Big Boss."

"You guys..." Chen Mo couldn't help but frown, but before he could finish his sentence, Liu Xuanfeng proactively offered an explanation.

"My family and the Du family are old family friends. Before I entered The Stars, my elders specifically reminded me."

Liu Xuanfeng stopped there.

But Chen Mo also understood what he meant; the elders of the Liu family must have told Liu Xuanfeng about Du Ming's true identity.

"So, you also know my identity?"

Chen Mo's eyes narrowed slightly.

He had wondered why Liu Xuanfeng was so enthusiastic toward him specifically; it turned out he had received information in advance.

"Yes!"

Liu Xuanfeng gave a couple of guilty-looking dry laughs.

Chen Mo shook his head, shifting his gaze toward the Spatial Cages, which were now mostly empty.

The Ranking Battles had reached this point and were nearly at an end.

It was worth mentioning that although the roster for the God Selection Class remained unchanged, the rankings had shifted significantly.

For example, Huo Qing, who was originally ranked fifth, was forced to settle for tenth place despite his strength.

Another example was Jiang Yingqiu, who had replaced Ye Xunyou and now held the eighth spot.

However, Chen Mo felt that this still wasn't the full extent of Jiang Yingqiu's power.

"Are there any more challengers?"

As the Students in the last Spatial Cage finished their battle, Vice Dean Xiao Yue's voice rang out.

The Students looked at one another, but no one spoke.

"In that case, the first Ranking Battle concludes here."

Xiao Yue's voice resounded again, and he then looked toward Kong Hanshu beside him.

Kong Hanshu nodded, took a step forward, and arrived before the Students.

"According to the academy's instructions, I will announce the resource allocation for the Special Recruitment Class."

Hearing this, many Students held their breath.

In fact, this was what the Students truly cared about, and it was the very purpose of the Ranking Battles.

"First, the resource allocation from The Stars itself will differ from previous freshman years."

Kong Hanshu's gaze swept across each Student.

"In response to the Federation's call, the total resource quota for the Special Recruitment Class will be three times higher than previous freshman classes."

As soon as these words were spoken, many Students' breathing quickened, but before they could celebrate, Kong Hanshu doused them with cold water.

"However, this extra resource pool will be distributed to the classes in a ratio of 2:1:1:1, and then subdivided based on rankings."

Upon hearing this, the faces of all the Students in the ordinary classes and even the Elite Class turned extremely grim.

What did this mean?

It was simple: the resources belonging to the twelve people in the God Selection Class were equal to the combined total of the 91 people in the Elite Class and the 208 people in the ordinary classes.

Although the overall resources had increased, the resources that actually reached the hands of the Regular Class Students weren't much more than those of previous freshman classes.

Undoubtedly, Chen Mo and the other Students of the God Selection Class were the biggest beneficiaries of this Special Recruitment Project.

The Students of the ordinary classes, however, all showed looks of resentment.

They had expected a gap in resources, but they never imagined the gap would be this massive.

"Unsatisfied?"

Xiao Yue suddenly spoke, his gaze sweeping across the resentful Students; every Student who met his eyes lowered their head.

"If you are unsatisfied, then fight for it. The academy has never cut off your path to advancement."

"As long as you can defeat Du Ming or Chen Mo, you can immediately take over their resource allocation."

"If you want resources, you must first be worthy of them."

Xiao Yue's words were like a sharp blade stabbing into the hearts of those ambitious Students from the Elite and ordinary classes.

The Prodigy Class, on the other hand, didn't have much of a reaction.

Many of them had already been beaten into submission.

"Continue."

No longer looking at the Students who had lowered their heads, Xiao Yue turned his gaze back to Kong Hanshu.

"In addition to the resources from The Stars, there is also extra support from the Federation for the Special Recruitment Classes of all High Academies."

"One hundred million for the God Selection Class, fifty million for the Prodigy Class, thirty million for the Elite Class, and ten million for the ordinary classes, distributed monthly."

"This money is distributed directly by the Federal Education Bureau; The Stars will not make any changes to it."

As he spoke, Kong Hanshu's gaze unconsciously swept over Chen Mo and Du Ming a couple of times.

In the entire Special Recruitment Class, only the God Selection Class was worth The Stars offering extra resources to recruit them.

These extra resources were provided by The Stars itself and had nothing to do with the Education Bureau.

And within the God Selection Class, only Du Ming and Chen Mo had received the maximum 150% resource quota.

This was the preferential treatment The Stars gave to these top-tier geniuses.
