134: Chapter 134 The Ten Thousand Poisons Demon Sect!

"Something is indeed not right!"

Chu Feng nodded and said, "Logically speaking, a place with such thick Miasma should have plenty of poisonous Yao Beasts active."

"Yet, we haven't seen a single Yao Beast along the way. This is very abnormal."

Tang An's expression grew more tense upon hearing this. He whispered, "Could there be some powerful Earth Demon nearby that scared off all the other Yao Beasts?"

Chu Feng pondered for a moment and whispered, "It's possible. We must be careful. If we encounter a Yao Beast of that level, I'm afraid there will be a fierce battle."

Just as he finished speaking, the Miasma ahead suddenly surged violently, as if something was rapidly approaching.

The Miasma rolled like boiling water, forming several whirlpools. A foul, stench-filled breath rushed toward them, even more pungent than the previous Miasma.

Chu Feng's eyes narrowed, and he shouted in a low voice, "Watch out!!"

Before his voice could fade, a massive Yao Beast lunged out from the Miasma ahead!

The Yao Beast resembled a giant python, over ten zhang long and as thick as a water bucket. Its body was covered in earthy-yellow scales, blending in with the surrounding sand and stones.

Most terrifying was its head, which was triangular. It spat out a foul poisonous mist, and its two eyes were as crimson as blood, staring fixedly at Chu Feng and Tang An.

It had two pairs of short claws on its belly, clearly indicating it wasn't a pure python but some kind of mutant breed.

"It's a Sand Wall Poison Python!" Tang An whispered.

The Sand Wall Poison Python was a Yao Beast unique to the Desert Plains, skilled at lurking beneath the sand to wait for an opportunity to ambush.

An adult Sand Wall Poison Python could reach the Earth Demon level. Its poison was fierce, making it extremely difficult to deal with.

This Sand Wall Poison Python had clearly reached the first level of Earth Demon, with a cultivation equivalent to a human Cultivator at the first layer of the Golden Core Stage. However, since Yao Beasts had powerful Physical Bodies, their actual combat strength often exceeded that of ordinary Cultivators of the same rank.

"Hiss!!!"

The Sand Wall Poison Python let out a sharp hiss. Its massive body suddenly coiled and sprang like an arrow from a bow, shooting toward Tang An!

It perceived that Tang An's Dharmic power was stronger, so it naturally chose to attack him first.

"Courting death!" Tang An was surprised but not panicked. He waved his hand, and a condensed Sword Qi instantly slashed out, heading straight for the head of the Sand Wall Poison Python!

He used his full strength for this strike. The Sword Qi tore through the air with a sharp whistling sound, carving a vacuum path through the Miasma it passed.

"Boom!"

The Sword Qi collided with the head of the Sand Wall Poison Python, producing a loud explosion.

The python's scalp was sliced open, scales flew everywhere, and blood splattered.

However, this single strike of Sword Qi surprisingly failed to split its skull!

"Roar!"

The Sand Wall Poison Python cried out in pain, letting out a shrill roar. Its massive body twisted suddenly, abandoning Tang An and lunging toward Chu Feng instead!

It wanted to pick on the soft target.

"Die for me!!!" Tang An's figure was like lightning, appearing above the Sand Wall Poison Python's head in an instant.

Sword light flashed in his hand as he held the earth net sword in a reverse grip. With the tip pointing down, he poured his entire cultivation's Dharmic power into the blade, causing it to glow with a blinding white light.

The muscles in his arms bulged as he used all his strength to thrust downward!

"Puchi!"

The earth net sword pierced straight into the Sand Wall Poison Python's brain, entering through the top of its head and exiting through its lower jaw!

The blade grated against the skull, making a tooth-aching screeching sound.

"Hiss!!!"

The Sand Wall Poison Python let out one final shrill scream. Its massive body convulsed violently before crashing to the ground, kicking up a cloud of Humus and Miasma.

After a few struggles, it stopped moving. Only its tail continued to twitch unconsciously, thumping against the ground with dull thuds.

"Old Tang, not bad. You finished off a first-level Earth Demon in just two strikes," Chu Feng praised with a smile.

"Although this Sand Wall Poison Python is an Earth Demon, its intelligence is low. It wasn't that hard to deal with," Tang An said modestly, though he couldn't help but show a look of pride.

He felt quite satisfied having defeated an Earth Demon of the same Realm.

While it looked easy for Tang An to kill a same-rank Earth Demon in just two moves...

In truth, this was the crushing power of Magic Treasures.

Ordinary Golden Core Cultivators would be lucky to have a single Treasure Artifact, but what about Tang An?

He was covered from head to toe in Treasure Artifacts.

His combat strength was at least equal to an average third-layer Golden Core Cultivator.

After collecting the spoils of war, the two continued forward.

As they ventured deeper, the surrounding Miasma grew thicker, and even their Divine Sense was greatly suppressed.

Suddenly, Chu Feng paused and whispered, "There's movement ahead, be careful!"

Although his Divine Sense was suppressed, it was far beyond what Tang An, who was only at the Early Stage of the Golden Core Stage, could compare to.

Three hundred zhang ahead, several faint auras were lurking. Though they tried their best to hide, they couldn't escape his Divine Sense.

These auras were cold and bloody, completely different from the wildness of Yao Beasts. They felt more like... people.

"What is it?"

Upon hearing this, Tang An immediately became alert, holding his Flying Sword across his chest as he asked in a low voice.

Chu Feng didn't answer, merely looking ahead.

A moment later, a figure slowly emerged from the Miasma ahead.

The person wore a black robe with a wide hood that completely concealed their face, leaving only a pair of cold eyes visible, like a venomous snake eyeing its prey.

More alarming was the faint black Qi swirling around him, blending with the Miasma. If one didn't look closely, it would be hard to notice.

"Hehe, I didn't expect to encounter two Fellow Daoists here. What a coincidence!"

The person let out a low laugh. The voice was raspy and cold, sounding like two pieces of sandpaper rubbing together, making listeners very uncomfortable.

There was a hint of mockery in his laugh, but more so the excitement of a hunter seeing its prey.

"Who are you?" Chu Feng frowned and asked coldly.

This person was dressed in black robes and had a sinister aura. Although he hadn't made a move, Chu Feng had some suspicions; it was highly likely he was someone from the Demonic Path.

Most Disciples of the Righteous Path would wear their Sect uniforms when traveling to show their identity.

Only those Loose Cultivators or demonic Cultivators would dress like this to hide their identities.

Furthermore, the smell of blood on this person was heavy, indicating he had clearly killed many people.

"Who I am isn't important. What's important is that I'm very interested in the things you two Fellow Daoists are carrying."

The man smiled and spoke very naturally, as if stating something obvious.

His gaze swept over Chu Feng and Tang An, his eyes flashing with endless greed.

"What do you mean by that? Are you trying to rob us?" Tang An was instantly enraged upon hearing this.

He, Tang An, was usually the one bullying others. Who would dare to rob him?

"Rob? No, I just want to borrow a few things from you Fellow Daoists."

The man shook his head with an extremely sinister smile. "After all, these Desert Plains are not a safe place. If you two were to die here, wouldn't the treasures on you go to waste? Better to give them to me than to let those beasts have them."

Chu Feng said indifferently, "You think you alone can keep us here?"

"By myself, perhaps not."

Upon hearing this, the man let out a cold laugh, then slowly raised his hand and whispered, "But what if they are included?"

Before he could finish, dozens of figures suddenly appeared in the surrounding Miasma!

These people were also dressed in black robes with their faces hidden under hoods. They spread out in a fan shape, surrounding Chu Feng and Tang An completely!

They moved swiftly and with tacit coordination; clearly, this wasn't their first time doing such a thing.

What was even more terrifying was that they made almost no sound when they appeared, like ghosts. They had clearly used some kind of secret technique for stealthy movement.

Tang An looked around, and his face immediately turned grim. He whispered, "Brother Feng, we're surrounded!"

At a rough glance, there were at least thirty people. Seven or eight of them had powerful auras, clearly Golden Core Stage Cultivators.

The rest were also at the Late Stage or Perfection of Foundation Establishment, each with fierce eyes and overflowing Killing Intent.

They held various strange-looking Magical Artifacts in their hands—Skull Banners, Poison Banners, Blood Blades, Bone Spikes, and so on. At a glance, these were all Demonic Path methods.

The most troublesome part was their positioning, which was quite deliberate, faintly forming some kind of formation that completely blocked the duo's path of retreat.

Clearly, they weren't just opportunistic bandits but a well-planned ambush!

Chu Feng's gaze was cold as he scanned the surrounding black-robed men. He said indifferently, "It seems we've run into a collective operation by demonic Cultivators! I'm curious, which power do you belong to?"

Organizing such a team in the Desert Plains was not something a small power could achieve.

Moreover, these people were well-trained and coordinated, looking more like Sect Disciples than Loose Cultivators.

"Kid! You are indeed clever."

The leading black-robed man let out a cold laugh and said, "However, your luck is too poor! To think you'd run into our Ten Thousand Poison Demon Sect here. You deserve this calamity!"

The Ten Thousand Poison Demon Sect!

Chu Feng's eyes narrowed.

This was a famous Demonic Path Sect in the Northern Continent, skilled in using poison, acting secretively, and using ruthless methods.

Disciples of the Ten Thousand Poison Demon Sect often hunted Righteous Path Cultivators to seize resources and were regulars on the wanted lists of various Sects.

Encountering people from the Ten Thousand Poison Demon Sect in this wilderness was indeed bad news.

Even more troublesome was that the opponent had many people and was skilled in using poison. Fighting in this poisonous Miasma environment gave them the geographical advantage.

Wu Chen, is this your method?

To be honest, Chu Feng was somewhat disappointed.

After all, the leading black-robed man was only at the fourth layer of the Golden Core Stage.

Wu Chen was looking down on him a bit.

"Kill!"

Chu Feng stopped wasting words. The jade blood sword flashed in his hand, and a sharp Sword Qi instantly slashed out, heading straight for the leading black-robed man!

As the saying goes, to capture the bandits, first capture their leader. As long as he killed the leader, the rest would become a disorganized mess.

The Sword Qi was like a rainbow, tearing through the Miasma and leaving a vacuum trail in the air. In the blink of an eye, it reached The black-robed man!

Chu Feng used seventy percent of his strength for this strike. The Sword Qi was as solid as a physical object, and the Sword Intent was incomparably sharp!

The black-robed man, however, was unhurried. He simply waved his hand, and a black shield appeared before him.

The shield was circular, three feet in diameter, with its surface carved with dense patterns of poisonous insects, emitting a faint black light.

"Clang!"

The Sword Qi struck the shield, producing a deafening boom!

Ripples appeared on the shield's surface as the black light flared up, actually blocking the Sword Qi completely!

A Low Grade defensive Treasure Artifact!

This black-robed man not only had decent cultivation but his Magic Treasures weren't bad either.

"Attack!"

After blocking the Sword Qi, The black-robed man gave the order coldly.

Hearing the command, the surrounding black-robed men all attacked at once!

Various poisonous mists, poison needles, Poison Banners, and poisonous insects surged toward Chu Feng and Tang An like an overwhelming tide!

The poisonous mist was multicolored, clearly a mixture of multiple lethal poisons.

The poison needles were as thin as cow hair, flying through the air silently, making them nearly impossible to guard against.

As the Poison Banners waved, they summoned countless phantoms of poisonous insects that lunged forward with bared fangs and claws.

Some black-robed men even released real poisonous insects—scorpions, centipedes, and spiders—in such dense numbers that it made one's skin crawl.

The battle was triggered at once!
