199: Chapter 199 Cerberus

Chu Feng's Five Elements Earth Thunder was already formidable.

Coupled with the fact that lightning techniques naturally suppress ghostly entities, its power was doubled.

He could communicate with the five-finger mountain deep within his Sea of Consciousness at any time, unleashing a continuous explosion of Power of Thunder without any fear of exhaustion.

After a continuous barrage of over a hundred Lightning Orbs exploded,

the dozens of Earth Ghosts that had been aggressively charging were now heavily casualties.

Many of the Earth Ghosts' bodies became translucent, and the spectral light at their cores dimmed significantly, clearly indicating they had been severely wounded.

"Exhilarating! Only here can I truly unleash my full firepower!"

Seizing the opportunity, Chu Feng tapped his foot lightly, his figure moving like lightning as he charged into the depths of the flower sea.

At the same time,

the taiji spirit mirror materialized above his head!

The taiji spirit mirror separates Yin and Yang; Yin brings death, while Yang brings life.

As soon as the spirit mirror appeared, white light representing vitality shot out incessantly!

This white light was even more terrifying than the thunder; for the Earth Ghosts, it was practically a fatal nemesis!

When the mirror's light shone upon them, the Earth Ghosts' already fading bodies became even more transparent, followed by shrill screams before they vanished completely into wisps of green smoke.

The Life Concept contained within the taiji spirit mirror was an invincible killing weapon against these Netherworld ghosts!

It suppressed them so thoroughly that there was no way to resist!

In the distance, outside the sea of flowers,

Jiang Miaoyi, Yun Luoli, and Tang An were all stunned.

Standing at the edge of the flower sea, they watched blankly as Chu Feng slaughtered everything in his path.

Those streaks of lightning and beams of mirror light made him look like a Heavenly God descending to earth!

"This..."

Tang An's eyes widened as he muttered to himself, "Brother Feng couldn't possibly possess the legendary Lightning-type Immortal Spiritual Root, could he?"

They all knew lightning techniques, but no one could be like Chu Feng, unleashing Power of Thunder anytime and anywhere without the slightest concern.

Everyone else's lightning power was primarily collected during thunderstorms and stored within their bodies; it was a limited resource that diminished with use!

They simply couldn't be like Chu Feng, whose power seemed infinite, as if he had no fear of depletion!

"I didn't know my husband was this powerful either." Jiang Miaoyi shook her head instinctively, her eyes filled with shock.

"Does an Immortal Spiritual Root really exist?" Yun Luoli was full of doubt.

There were indeed such rumors in the cultivation world; legends of people whose Spiritual Roots surpassed the Heavenly Spiritual Root to reach the fabled Immortal Spiritual Root.

However, the Duobao Sect had never seen such a root, and over time, the idea was dismissed as nonsense.

But now, Yun Luoli's beliefs were crumbling.

Perhaps a Lightning-type Immortal Spiritual Root really did exist?

He was practically a Son of Heavenly Thunder!

In Chu Feng's case, his Power of Thunder seemed inexhaustible.

From the start of the battle until now, he had released at least several hundred lightning spells!

Such a violent barrage of lightning attacks was something even an ordinary Nascent Soul Cultivator couldn't achieve!

Was Chu Feng truly an Immortal Spiritual Root possessor with the potential for Immortal Ascension?

If Chu Feng knew the shock swirling in their hearts right now, he would surely give a helpless, bitter smile.

Whether he had an Immortal Spiritual Root—how could he not know?

Not only did he lack an Immortal Spiritual Root, but he didn't even have a Heavenly or Earthly Spiritual Root.

His Spiritual Root was merely a Yellow Spiritual Root, and the most garbage kind at that: a Five Elements Yellow Spiritual Root.

As for why his lightning techniques were so incredible...

After many experiments,

he had gradually discovered a heart-racing fact.

His Bloodline was of the lightning attribute, and no matter how he squandered or drew from it, there was never any sign of it running dry.

Just what kind of Bloodline was this??

According to the records, even a Heaven Rank Bloodline wasn't this overpowered.

After killing the Earth Ghosts, Chu Feng led Jiang Miaoyi and the other two deeper into the sea of equinox flower.

The soft soil beneath their feet gradually became firm, and a faint, lingering scent of decay began to mix with the strange fragrance in the air.

Warning signs flared in Chu Feng's heart, and he gestured for the three behind him to slow down.

Parting a patch of waist-high blood-red flowers, the view suddenly opened up.

An ancient stone platform stood quietly in the heart of the valley.

The platform was built from an unknown black rock, its surface carved with dense, twisting runes that looked like earthworms.

Atop the platform, many white bones were laid out!

There were human bones and strangely shaped beast bones, piled haphazardly and appearing exceptionally eerie under the dim light.

Beside the bones lay several ancient-looking storage Magic Treasures and some long-rotted clothing.

This place actually looked like an altar!

An evil altar that used living beings as sacrifices!

Chu Feng's gaze instantly froze.

Because guarding the front of the stone platform was a terrifying creature he had only glimpsed once in the most obscure records of the Sect's ancient books: a Cerberus!

The Yao Beast was wreathed in thick, physical black flames; they weren't burning so much as flowing, licking across the ground and leaving charred marks.

Its three heads were each uniquely hideous.

The flesh on the left head had mostly rotted away, revealing white bone, with ghostly green fire dancing in its hollow eye sockets.

The middle head was the most oppressive, a standard demonic face with blue skin and protruding fangs, its pupils seemingly burning with a sulfurous lake of fire from the Netherworld; a single glance was enough to make one's Soul tremble.

The right head was even more bizarre, covered by a distorted human face, its features squeezed together in extreme agony, its mouth wide open but unable to make a sound, as if enduring eternal torment.

Its four limbs were thick as pillars, its claws like blades.

The most frightening part was its tail, which was nothing less than a giant python!

The python's body was covered in scales, and its tip ended in a hideous barb that swayed slowly, silently announcing the approach of death.

"Damn it! This hellhole actually has something like this? Are we getting close to the legendary Netherworld?"

Chu Feng couldn't help but curse, taking a deep breath of the scorching air to force down the shock in his heart.

He knew this battle was unavoidable.

The Cerberus's Aura had already firmly locked onto the four of them.

"Get back, as far as possible! Once the fight starts, I won't be able to look after you!" Chu Feng barked without looking back, simultaneously circulating his internal Qi to its limit.

Sensing its master's Battle Intent, the jade blood sword let out a clear, high-pitched chime.

Upon the blade, the Five Elements Power began to rapidly fuse, bursting with an unprecedented five-colored radiance!

"Five Elements Earth Thunder!!" Chu Feng's voice boomed like spring thunder as he swung his strongest sword strike to date!

This strike transformed into a brilliant five-colored sword light, carrying a world-destroying momentum as it slashed down toward the Cerberus's head!

BOOM!!!!

The deafening roar nearly tore through the silence of the valley.

The intense energy fluctuations from the earth thunder explosion were like a gale, instantly shredding the equinox flower within ten thousand feet, uprooting them and pulling them into the violent energy vortex.

Unable to withstand this massive force, the ground cracked into several bottomless fissures that spread in all directions.

However, before the dust could even settle, the Cerberus moved!
