30: Chapter 30 Foundation Establishment Banquet

"You all look beautiful!"

"Tomorrow is my Foundation Establishment Banquet. Wear these outfits and greet the guests with me." Chu Feng nodded with satisfaction.

Upon hearing this, the women were stunned.

Luo Xingyu couldn't help but say, "Husband, I heard that many Seniors at the Golden Core Stage will be coming to the banquet."

"Our cultivation is too low; we haven't even reached Foundation Establishment. It's already against the rules for us to sit with you, so if we greet guests together with you, won't it cause you trouble?"

Lin Youchu nodded repeatedly from the side, her eyes filled with worry, clearly agreeing with Luo Xingyu. Cheng Sanniang and Bai Yafei also looked at Chu Feng, their eyes filled with inquiry and unease.

Although they were Chu Feng's wives, their cultivation was too low.

They would naturally appear out of place at a Foundation Establishment Banquet filled with Golden Core Stage Cultivators. If they greeted guests together with him, it would likely invite gossip and might even cause others to look down on Chu Feng.

Seeing their worried expressions, Chu Feng smiled gently. "This is my Foundation Establishment Banquet. If you were missing, what would be the point of this banquet? Just listen to me."

"Thank you, Husband!"

"Alright, go get busy!"

Lin Youchu, Luo Xingyu, and Bai Yafei responded and turned to leave. Only Cheng Sanniang stayed behind.

"Husband." Cheng Sanniang called out softly.

Chu Feng turned and looked at her. "Sanniang, is something the matter?"

Cheng Sanniang hesitated for a moment. "Have you notified Secretary Han Jiangxue yet?"

"I will send her a message right now."

Secretary Han Jiangxue returned to her residence from Duobao Pavilion. After a simple wash, she went straight to the soft cushion in the center of the side room and sat cross-legged in meditation.

Her back was straight, and her plain clothes outlined her undulating curves, stretching out like mountain ranges.

The room was quiet, but her heart was in turmoil because she hadn't received notice from Chu Feng.

Secretary Han Jiangxue closed her eyes, trying hard to cast away all distracting thoughts, but she couldn't manage it at all.

Just then, the transmission talisman suddenly vibrated and emitted a faint glow.

Secretary Han Jiangxue's heart stirred, and she picked up the transmission talisman.

As soon as her fingers touched it, Chu Feng's familiar and comforting voice came through: "Come find me. Come tonight, and tomorrow we will go to my Foundation Establishment Banquet."

Secretary Han Jiangxue held her breath, listening to the message over a dozen times to confirm it was correct before slowly letting out a breath.

She carefully put away the transmission talisman, holding it tightly in her hand, her gaze fixed straight at the partition wall, and tears slid down from the corners of her eyes unconsciously.

Then, the tears fell like beads with broken strings, uncontrollable, falling rapidly.

It turned out that happiness always arrived so unexpectedly, like a spring breeze quietly pushing open a window, so gentle that one was caught completely off guard.

The next day, just as dawn broke, the eastern horizon showed a faint fish-belly white.

Hongyue City was gradually waking up, and many Loose Cultivators had risen early to begin their day's bustle.

Some carried their Magical Artifact satchels, preparing to go out and accept missions.

Some gathered in groups of three or five, planning to go to the forests outside the city to hunt Yao Beasts for their demon cores and pelts.

Others were discussing forming parties to head to the Red Moon Mountain Range, hoping to find an Opportunity...

In the small courtyard at No. 666 North Street, Second Ring Road, Hongyue City, a few people were already standing there.

Jiang Miaoyi walked out of the quiet room, dressed in a plain robe, her temperament cold and aloof.

She swept a faint glance over Cheng Sanniang and the others in the courtyard, then her gaze fell on Chu Feng, waiting quietly.

Chu Feng bowed slightly to Jiang Miaoyi, then flicked his robe sleeves, his voice resonant and powerful: "Let's go!"

On the other side. The small courtyard at No. 234 North Street, Second Ring Road, Hongyue City.

Zhong Cheng stood in the small courtyard, looking at the brightening sky, his face filled with some anticipation, mixed with a hint of nervousness.

His eldest Disciple accompanied him, also waiting, though the nervousness on his face was hard to conceal, his hands clenched tightly.

"Revered Master," the eldest Disciple hesitated for a moment, finally unable to help but ask, "How many Immortal Master Seniors will come to True Disciple Chu's Foundation Establishment Banquet today?"

Zhong Cheng said indifferently, "I don't know."

The eldest Disciple asked again, "Then, from our seats, will we be able to see True Disciple Chu?"

"I don't know." Zhong Cheng's answer remained brief.

The eldest Disciple gritted his teeth and continued to ask, "We Foundation Establishment Stage Cultivators should be arranged to sit together, right?"

"I don't know."

Three "I don't know"s in a row made the eldest Disciple even more nervous.

He shrank his neck and said in a low voice, "Mas-Revered Master, why don't I just not go? Thinking about having to face so many Seniors makes me panic."

"Smack!"

Zhong Cheng backhanded a slap onto the back of the eldest Disciple's head and said irritably, "I haven't even said I'm not going, is it your turn to talk nonsense here?"

The eldest Disciple stumbled from the slap, rubbing the back of his head with a dry laugh. "Revered Master, are you also a little nervous?"

"Nonsense!"

Zhong Cheng straightened his face and said, pretending to be calm, "It's just a Foundation Establishment Banquet, a small scene. How could I be as spineless as you?"

"Yes, yes, yes, Revered Master is the best!" The eldest Disciple hurriedly flattered him, though he thought to himself: Revered Master looking like this is clearly nervous.

Time passed slowly, and the dawn on the horizon grew brighter, finally becoming ten thousand rays of rosy clouds, spilling over the earth.

On the Half-Moon Lake of Hongyue City, a Magic Treasure jade ship as huge as a small mountain was docked.

The hull was built from rare spirit wood, the body carved with exquisite Dragon and Phoenix patterns, surrounded by a faint spiritual light, emitting a powerful Spiritual Qi aura; one could tell at a glance it was no ordinary object.

Inside the jade ship, hundreds of jade tables were neatly arranged, row upon row, not looking crowded at all.

On each table was a pot of mellow spirit wine and exquisite spirit fruits and delicacies, with spiritual mist swirling around, making one's mouth water just looking at it.

The four walls of the cabin were carved with delicate landscape paintings, and simple Spirit Gathering Array patterns were engraved on the paintings, constantly emitting a Spiritual Qi aura, making the Spiritual Qi inside the ship even denser.

Chu Feng had long arrived at the jade ship with Cheng Sanniang and the others, and was now standing on the deck greeting guests.

Jiang Miaoyi picked a table at random and sat down, closing her eyes to rest, her expression indifferent, as if everything around her had nothing to do with her.

The morning light broke through the clouds and spilled onto Hongyue City.

Almost instantly, streaks of five-colored escape lights soared into the air from all over Hongyue City, fast as meteors, heading straight for the Magic Treasure jade ship along the sky above Half-Moon Lake.

The escape lights dissipated, revealing figures who were all guests coming to attend the Foundation Establishment Banquet.

Zhong Cheng composed himself and was just about to board the ship when he saw a few more escape lights land nearby.

The leader was Fang Rong, a Five-Star Guest Elder of Duobao Pavilion.

"Guest Elder Fang, you've arrived early!" Zhong Cheng greeted him with a smile, cupping his hands.

Fang Rong was beaming, clearly very happy to be able to attend Chu Feng's Foundation Establishment Banquet.

He returned the salute, "Being able to attend True Disciple Chu's Foundation Establishment Banquet is my honor; of course, I must come early and dare not be negligent."

The few exchanged a few polite words and walked together toward Chu Feng on the deck.

Seeing Chu Feng and Cheng Sanniang and the others behind him, they all bowed and respectfully said, "Congratulations to True Disciple Chu for successfully reaching Foundation Establishment!"

Chu Feng smiled, "Vice Pavilion Revered Master Zhong, Fellow Daoist Fang, please come in!"

The group thanked Chu Feng and walked into the jade ship.

As soon as they entered, Zhong Cheng and the others felt their eyes light up, stunned by the decorations inside the ship.

Hundreds of jade tables were neatly arranged, the space was very spacious, and there was a wide circular platform in the center, clearly used for performances.

"As expected of a Magic Treasure jade ship, it's so grand; it's truly a rare sight!" Fang Rong couldn't help but exclaim.
