178: Chapter 178 A Real Invitation!!

"Everyone, please!!!"

With a wave of his hand, the thunder cloud boat flew out and expanded in mid-air, transforming into a massive thirty-three-zhang vessel that hovered steadily at a low altitude.

Chu Feng made a gesture of invitation, signaling the three to board the ship.

How was this boarding a ship?

This was clearly prisoners of war being escorted onto a prison carriage!

"Are we really going to risk our lives for them?" Old Devil Guihuo transmitted his voice unwillingly to Old Demon Guisha and Old Devil Guiri.

"This pair of bastards is just using us as cannon fodder. Damn them," Old Devil Guiri cursed along.

"What else can we do?"

Old Demon Guisha gave a sinister smile, though a strange light flickered within that expression.

He narrowed his eyes and transmitted: "However, they think they've got us pinned? Heh heh, when the time comes, it's not certain who will be the one getting screwed over!"

At these words, Old Devil Guiri and Old Devil Guihuo were both stunned.

"You mean..."

A sharp light flashed in Old Devil Guiri's eyes as he suddenly understood.

He subconsciously licked his lips.

"The people from the Duobao Sect want to use us as cannon fodder, but cannon fodder has its own lethality."

"If it really comes to that, it's not certain who will die first!"

"Exactly!!"

Hearing this, Old Devil Guihuo let out a series of sinister laughs.

He rubbed his hands—hands that were skeletal with long, black nails like eagle claws. "Once we're in the desert, they'll have something coming!"

Old Demon Guisha nodded slightly. "We must act obediently to make them lower their guard. When the critical moment arrives..."

He didn't finish his sentence, but his cold gaze said everything.

The three exchanged glances, sharing a tacit understanding.

In the moment their gazes met, it was as if countless schemes were brewing in the shadows and numerous venomous plots were germinating in their hearts.

They were people of the Demonic Path after all; being insidious and cunning was an instinct etched into their bones.

The humiliation of being coerced was now entirely transformed into a burning thirst for revenge within their chests.

...

Chu Feng and Mu Xuanyin had already boarded the deck and were standing by the railing, looking down at the three Devil Heads below.

"Junior Brother Chu, do you think they will behave?"

Mu Xuanyin spoke suddenly, her tone carrying a hint of amusement.

Her eyes rippled with a half-smile.

A cool breeze passed, blowing a few strands of hair across her forehead and adding to her ethereal appearance.

Chu Feng stood with his hands behind his back, his robes fluttering in the wind. "Don't worry, Senior Sister. They won't dare to play any tricks."

He paused, his gaze falling on the three Devil Heads with a flash of disdain: "Even if they have some small schemes, in the face of absolute strength, they are nothing more than clowns."

"I hope so."

Mu Xuanyin smiled gently, a deep light flashing in her eyes.

In the next instant, Old Demon Guisha, Old Devil Guiri, and Old Devil Guihuo also flew onto the thunder cloud boat.

Under Chu Feng's arrangement, they each entered a room and obediently went to recuperate their energy.

At this moment, the three Devil Heads acted more obediently than anyone, being submissive and servile.

It seemed they wanted Chu Feng and Mu Xuanyin to lower their guard so they could turn against them and strike back when the time came.

But what they didn't know was that Chu Feng had no intention of trusting them at all.

In his eyes, these Devil Heads were merely temporary tools to be used.

Once a tool was finished with, it would naturally be discarded.

"Let's go! We'll find those few Golden Core Loose Cultivators."

Chu Feng looked toward the distant horizon with a smile on his lips. "Those old foxes are surely still alive and well."

"Loose Cultivators who can reach the Golden Core stage either have Heaven-Defying luck or solid strength. Regardless of which, they have utility value."

"Alright! I will calculate their positions."

Mu Xuanyin nodded and closed her eyes as a faint spiritual light rose around her body.

She used the Heavenly Secret Art to deduce the hiding places of the Loose Cultivator experts.

A moment later, she slowly opened her eyes, the corners of her lips curling slightly.

"Found them. To the northwest."

...

Yellow Wind Valley. A mournful wind howled as black mist permeated the air.

The sun never reached the valley; the whistling wind sounded like the wailing of countless malevolent ghosts.

The wind was mixed with tiny yellow ice crystals that could actually erode dense holes into the rocks they struck.

Those holes were of varying depths and packed tightly together, looking as if they had been gnawed by countless insects.

On both sides of the valley entrance were two black peaks that pierced the clouds. Not a single blade of grass grew on them; there was only bare rock that had been eroded by the wind into bizarre shapes.

Some looked like clawing demons, some like Yao Beasts roaring at the sky, and some like hunched old men, appearing exceptionally eerie in the dim light.

If an ordinary Cultivator entered this place, it wouldn't take an hour before their Physical Body was flayed into a bloody mess by the wind, leaving only white bones.

Even a Golden Core Cultivator wouldn't dare step into this place lightly without sufficient defensive means.

Deep inside the valley, within a dark grotto.

Golden Core Loose Cultivators True Lord Xuan Ming and True Lord Bai Mei were sitting cross-legged.

Their bodies were shrouded in a layer of faint black light, barely resisting the raging wind in the valley.

The grotto wasn't large, only about a dozen zhang across.

The cave walls were uneven and covered in signs of wind erosion.

"Xuan Ming, we can't just keep hiding here forever!" True Lord Bai Mei said with a frown.

His two eyebrows were long and thick, hanging down to the sides of his cheeks like two red caterpillars resting on his face.

At this moment, those eyebrows were trembling slightly with his emotions, revealing their owner's inner irritation.

He was a withered old man wearing a gray robe, his face covered in deep wrinkles like dried orange peel.

His eyes were narrow and long with cloudy yellow pupils, but an occasional flash of sharp light showed that he was no ordinary man.

"Sigh! If we don't take refuge here, what else can we do?"

True Lord Xuan Ming gave a bitter laugh and shook his head.

He was a middle-aged-looking man with a sinister face and skin so pale it was almost bloodless, as if he had always lived in a place without sun.

His eyes were narrow, and his pupils were as black as two bottomless pits; whenever he looked at someone, it always gave them the feeling of being stared at by a venomous snake.

"Damn it! We took a huge loss this time! We handed over Top-Grade Spirit Stones only to be transported to this hellhole and hunted everywhere by Yao Beasts."

"If I had known this broken place was so dangerous, I wouldn't have come even if I were beaten to death!"

"Sigh! Tell me about it!!!"

True Lord Bai Mei sighed, his eyes filled with helplessness. "But hiding here isn't a long-term solution, is it?"

"The wind in the valley is too fierce. In a few more days, I'm afraid our defensive Formation won't be able to hold out."

"When that time comes, we'll either be flayed to death by the wind or go out and be bitten to death by Yao Beasts. Either way, it's death."

It had to be said that their luck was not very good.

Just as they escaped from the Blazing Poison Scorpion, they encountered the pursuit of another Level 10 Earth Demon.

Unable to win the fight, they could only flee into this Yellow Wind Valley, gambling that the Level 10 Earth Demon wouldn't dare follow them inside.

Fortunately, they gambled correctly.

That Level 10 Earth Demon chased them to the valley entrance but did not enter.

The two didn't know the situation outside and didn't dare to leave.

"Let's hold out for three more days?"

True Lord Xuan Ming hesitated for a moment before saying, "In three days, we'll charge out?"

"Fine! At worst, we'll give it our all." True Lord Bai Mei nodded.

Just then.

A clear, resonant voice rang out in their ears.

"You two, please come out for a meeting!"

The voice was like thunder, rolling toward them!

It shook the raging wind in the valley into a momentary standstill!

The voice contained powerful spiritual energy fluctuations, piercing through layers of wind to reach their ears clearly.

"A Cultivator?"

True Lord Bai Mei's face changed drastically as he suddenly stood up.

"Could that Earth Demon have left?"

True Lord Xuan Ming took a deep breath and said solemnly, "Let's go out and meet them! Whether it's a blessing or a curse, we can't avoid it."

"Hiding here is just waiting for death; we might as well go out and see what the situation is."

The two exchanged looks, their figures flashing as they turned into two streaks of black light and rushed out of the grotto.

Outside the valley.

Chu Feng stood with his hands behind his back, his robes fluttering in the wind.

Mu Xuanyin stood by his side, her white clothes as pure as snow, her expression indifferent.

Not far behind them were Old Demon Guisha, Old Devil Guiri, and Old Devil Guihuo.

They were lined up, staring coldly into the valley.

"Fellow Daoist Chu, Fellow Daoist Mu, I wonder what brings you here?"

True Lord Xuan Ming said with a fake smile as he cupped his hands.

Black Qi surged within his sleeves; he was clearly on guard in secret.

His narrow eyes scanned back and forth between Chu Feng and Mu Xuanyin, his wariness unconcealed.

Meanwhile, True Lord Bai Mei looked at the three old devils, a flash of surprise in his eyes: "You three old devils, how did you end up with the people from the Duobao Sect? Has the sun risen from the west? Don't you hate these Righteous Path Sects the most?"

As he spoke, the techniques in his hands were already primed and ready.

"Enough nonsense."

Chu Feng didn't bother with pleasantries and went straight to the point: "I want you to return to the teleportation Formation with me and serve as the vanguard to clear the way."

"This is no place to stay; we are going back to the Endless Mountains."

"What?!"

True Lord Bai Mei laughed out of sheer anger, his two white eyebrows shaking violently: "Fellow Daoist Chu, you want to use us as cannon fodder? You want us to clear the path in front while you pick up the benefits in the back? You dare to even think of such a good deal?"

"Isn't that going too far?"

True Lord Xuan Ming also glared at Chu Feng and Mu Xuanyin with a vicious gaze, the black Qi around him surging even more.

The black Qi was like venomous snakes slithering around him, emitting a foul stench.

"So what if it is?"

Chu Feng's gaze was ice-cold. "If you refuse, then stay here today."

"You can't get out anyway. Waiting here to die is still death; you might as well take a gamble."

"Come with me and there's at least a sliver of life. Don't come, and you die now."

Chu Feng was experienced in dealing with Loose Cultivators and Demonic Cultivators!

These people only remembered the stick, not the carrot.

Only by suppressing them with force would they be obedient.

Reasoning with them was useless; they only recognized the fist.

Whoever had the bigger fist was the boss.

Now, Chu Feng intended to give them enough pressure to make them submit.

At least on the surface, they wouldn't dare to oppose his words!

When it came time to use them, Chu Feng naturally had powerful means to control them.

He wouldn't let these Loose Cultivators and Demonic Cultivators turn against him in the heat of battle.

He had plenty of methods for controlling people; any one of them would be enough to give them a hard time.
