3: Chapter 3: Attributes Explosive
With a thought from Su Chen, the status panel fully expanded. Blinding numerical values instantly flooded his vision, each one shattering the understanding of Blue Star's Awakened.
[Host: Su Chen]
[Level: 1 (God Slayer)]
[Health: 1500/1500 (Constitution 150×10)]
[Mana: 1500/1500 (Spirit 150×10)]
[Strength: 210 (Base 21×10)]
[Agility: 170 (Base 17×10)]
[Constitution: 150 (Base 15×10)]
[Spirit: 150 (Base 15×10)]
[Talent: Hand of Heaven Stealing (SSS-grade)]
[Skills: Divine Stealth, Unparalleled, Flash Stab]
[Items: Authority to Bestow Professions (Partial), Novice Dagger (Common)]
"A base strength of 21 is over four times that of an ordinary person. Combined with the 10x amplification from the God-Slaying Power, it directly reaches 210," Su Chen calculated rapidly. "The strength of an ordinary level 30 professional is only around 200. My level 1 combat power already rivals that of veterans in their twenties or thirties."
This operation of stealing from the divine was far more profitable than he had anticipated. Not only had he stolen the sole Mythic-grade profession, but he also now held the Authority to Bestow Professions.
This authority allowed him to freely grant professions ranging from Common to Legendary-grade to others. It was enough to drive any faction mad with desire, and it signified that he had completely achieved a leap in social strata—transforming from an ordinary transmigrator into an existence that stood above the masses.
After the initial joy, Su Chen quickly calmed down, his brow slightly furrowed.
He knew clearly that the Authority to Bestow Professions was the unique authority of the Guiding Angel, a taboo of the Temple of Origin.
Once exposed, it would inevitably attract pursuit from the Temple of Origin, or even backlash from the Heavenly Dao. He understood the principle of 'the innocent get punished for their treasures' better than anyone.
"This authority can only be used in secret. Absolutely no one must know, not even the closest of people," Su Chen thought to himself, inevitably feeling a tinge of regret. "It's a pity the Temple of Origin can only be entered once. If I could go in again, relying on those angel clones, I could infinitely steal authorities and treasures. Then I would truly be invincible."
Just then, a dungeon notification sound rang out, interrupting his train of thought.
[Ding! Nightmare-difficulty Assassin Trial — Gloomy Dense Forest, officially begins!]
[Dungeon Overview: A dense forest shrouded in perpetual darkness, cold and deathly silent, with chilling winds, serving as a Goblin gathering ground]
[Nightmare Difficulty Traits: Monsters appear in groups, Level Suppression (Monster Level +5), 5% Real Sensation Pain]
Su Chen looked up. Surrounding him were dense black trees, their branches and leaves intertwined, blocking all light. A chilling wind rustled through the leaves with a 'swishing' sound, and the air was thick with the foul, fishy stench of Goblins.
In theory, a Nightmare-difficulty trial was lethal for a newly Awakened level 1 player.
With the +5 level suppression from level 5 monsters, combined with their group appearances, even an Epic-grade profession holder would have to proceed with extreme caution.
But for Su Chen, who possessed the God Slayer profession, this was not a trial at all. It was free, practical combat training.
"Perfect. Let's test just how strong the God Slayer's combat power is," Su Chen thought, tightening his grip on the Novice Dagger in his hand. His steps shifted lightly; his 170-point Agility allowed his movements to be utterly silent.
Before long, chaotic footsteps and sharp, piercing roars came from ahead.
Su Chen's gaze sharpened. He saw five level 5 Goblin Warriors waving large wooden clubs as they roamed between the trees, their green skin particularly conspicuous in the darkness.
[Monster: Goblin Warrior]
[Level: 5]
[Grade: Common]
[Health: 500/500]
[Attack Power: 50]
[Defense: 30]
[Skill: Heavy Club Strike]
"Not many in number. Perfect for testing Flash Stab," Su Chen thought without the slightest hesitation. With a mental command, he activated the active skill.
[Ding! Skill [Flash Stab] has been activated!]
A faint spatial fluctuation sounded. Su Chen's figure instantly vanished from his original spot, teleporting the next second to the center of the five Goblin Warriors.
The Goblins hadn't reacted yet, still maintaining their roaming posture, their backs completely exposed to Su Chen.
Su Chen's eyes turned cold. The Novice Dagger in his hand thrust out in one smooth motion, precisely piercing the back of the Goblin in the very center. The blade sank deep, burying more than half its length.
*Squelch—*
Blood gushed out. That Goblin didn't even have time to scream before its body went limp and collapsed.
[Ding! Killed level 5 Goblin Warrior. Gained 100 EXP!]
[Ding! [Flash Stab] killed target. Skill cooldown has been refreshed!]
Watching the Goblin's health bar instantly empty, Su Chen's expression remained impassive.
Level 1, one-shotting a level 5. This was the power of a Mythic-grade profession. In the face of absolute attribute suppression, the level difference was utterly insignificant.
The remaining four Goblins finally reacted. They let out sharp shrieks in the Goblin tongue, their eyes turning frenzied as they brandished their large wooden clubs, surrounding Su Chen from four directions.
The clubs whistled through the air, smashing towards his head and chest. The dense attacks nearly sealed off all dodging space.
"Although my Constitution is 150 and my defense is high enough to tank it, there's no need to endure the 5% real sensation pain," Su Chen thought to himself, his body moving instantly.
His 170-point ultra-high Agility made his footwork extremely swift, like a phantom.
Facing the dense barrage of Heavy Club Strikes, he twisted his body slightly, sidestepping and dodging with light steps. Every movement precisely avoided the attacks. Clubs grazed the hem of his clothes as they smashed into the ground, kicking up clumps of dirt.
Within mere seconds, Su Chen weaved through the group attacks of the four Goblins, completely unscathed, even finding gaps to counterattack.
"Time to counterattack."
Su Chen sidestepped to avoid a club, his dagger swinging out in a fluid motion. It precisely slashed across a Goblin's neck. A deep wound appeared, blood spurting out.
[Ding! Killed level 5 Goblin Warrior. Gained 100 EXP!]
[Ding! [Flash Stab] cooldown has ended. Can be used again!]
Without pause, Su Chen's figure flashed. Activating Flash Stab, he teleported behind another Goblin. His dagger thrust out once more—another one-shot kill.
The remaining two Goblins, seeing this, roared and launched even more frenzied attacks. But before Su Chen's ultra-high Agility, all their attacks were futile.
His movements were ghostly as he flitted through the monster group. His dagger danced continuously, each slash claiming the life of a Goblin.
