34: Chapter 34 True Diligence and Frugality in the Tang Dynasty: Managing a Household with Ink

Within the three hideous skeletal dog heads of the massive skeleton, soul fire flickered with an eerie red light.

Although the Poison Barrier permeated the entire nest, the Hell Three-Headed Dog quickly locked onto Tang Mo's position.

The three hideous skeletal dog heads stared straight in Tang Mo's direction.

In the next second, a barrage of fierce spells shot toward Tang Mo, covering the sky and earth.

Ice passed through Tang Mo's body, freezing the ground into a thick layer of frost.

Immediately after, it was covered by scorching flames; the ground where ice and fire met constantly emitted a "hissing" sound.

Purple lightning pierced directly through the Poison Barrier and Tang Mo's body, scattering on the ground and turning into thin arcs of electricity.

Tang Mo stood there motionless with a sneer, muttering under his breath.

"2..."

After the flurry of attacks, the expected smell of blood did not appear, and the Hell Three-Headed Dog lowered its heads even further.

With its three heads pointed straight at Tang Mo's direction, the Hell Three-Headed Dog's massive body suddenly charged out.

In an instant, it had arrived at Tang Mo's side.

The three giant skeletal dog heads simultaneously launched a Frenzied Bite at Tang Mo.

The massive skeletal mouths bit down hard on Tang Mo, but what they bit into was not the familiar sensation of human flesh the Hell Three-Headed Dog expected, but... air.

"3..."

Having missed its strike, the Hell Three-Headed Dog immediately followed up with a Savage Beast Claw.

Swish!

The beast claws, as sharp as bone blades, stirred up bursts of air-breaking sounds. Tang Mo was cut in half at the waist, but his body then dissipated into a wisp of dark green Poison Barrier.

Poison Clone!

This was the technique Tang Mo had only recently researched.

To be safe, Tang Mo now always used a Poison Clone to draw the enemy's attacks while he hid within the Poison Barrier.

"4..."

Under the double stacking of toxins from the Poison Rain and the Poison Barrier, the poison damage within the Hell Three-Headed Dog's body had already reached a very high level.

Being able to hold on for four seconds was already beyond Tang Mo's expectations.

As Tang Mo's voice fell, the Hell Three-Headed Dog's health was completely depleted.

Accompanied by a massive boom, the Hell Three-Headed Dog's enormous body fell heavily to the ground.

[Killed Level 19 Hell Three-Headed Dog, EXP +39,213, Poison Damage +2, Endurance +0.01]

[Obtained Silver-grade Flame Bracers: Spirit +100, Fire Skill Damage +10%, Fire Element Resistance +5%, Requirement: Level 20.]

Tang Mo had obtained another piece of Silver-grade equipment, though looking at its attributes, it was more suitable for a Fire Mage.

Without a word, Tang Mo placed it directly into his storage space. "At least it can be sold for some money, right?"

The Truly Frugal Home-Maker Tang Mo.

Walking further ahead, Tang Mo arrived beneath a massive altar.

In the very center of the altar was a tall throne made of stone.

In front of the throne, a broad and thick greatsword was thrust deeply into the altar.

The owner of the giant sword, a massive skeleton, sat upright upon the throne.

Tang Mo recognized it; this was the final boss of the Undead Mountain Dungeon, the Skeleton General.

[Skeleton General (dungeon Boss)]

[Level: 20]

[Strength: 29,000]

[Agility: 17,620]

[Spirit: 39,500]

[Endurance: 750,000]

[Skills: Soul Impact (Lv20), Spinal Dance (Lv20), Bone Armor (Lv20), Summon Skeleton (Lv20), Death Domain (Lv20), Life Entanglement (Lv20)]

Upon seeing the Skeleton General's skills, Tang Mo suddenly noticed one particular skill: Soul Impact.

As the name suggested, it attacked the soul directly, and Tang Mo's Body of Poison would be unable to defend against it.

"I didn't expect a Level 20 dungeon boss to possess this type of skill. It seems I must deal with this carefully!"

This was the second time Tang Mo had encountered a skill that could cause him damage.

The first time was the scroll-like skill from that Professional team.

Tang Mo began to observe the surroundings, thinking of a combat plan.

Tang Mo had remained outside the dungeon boss's aggro range, which was why the Skeleton General had not attacked him.

The surrounding terrain could be seen at a glance, with no cover that could be utilized.

If he entered combat with the boss, Tang Mo might be able to ignore its other skills by using his Body of Poison.

However, with Tang Mo's current attributes, taking a Soul Impact head-on would definitely be the end of him; after all, this was a Purgatory-level dungeon boss.

Then, Tang Mo shifted his gaze toward the altar.

After a careful comparison, Tang Mo discovered to his surprise that the range of his Poison Barrier seemed to be larger than the area of the altar.

This meant that for the actual battle, Tang Mo didn't need to run onto the altar.

As long as the Poison Barrier could cover the area, his Poison Clones would be infinite.

Moreover, by utilizing the height difference between the altar and the ground, he might be able to dodge the dungeon boss's Soul Impact.

However, to be safe, Tang Mo still dug a deep pit below the altar. In case the Soul Impact ignored the height difference between the altar and the ground, he would still have another place to hide.

After all, a wily hare has three burrows.

After finishing all the preparations, Tang Mo moved the Poison Barrier directly toward the altar.

As for himself, he stood below the altar, hidden within the Poison Barrier.

Once the Poison Barrier had completely covered the entire altar, Tang Mo released Poison Rain into the air.

This way, the toxins could stack faster, and the damage to the boss would be higher.

Having done everything, Tang Mo controlled the Poison Barrier to condense a Poison Clone and walk in front of the Skeleton General.

Suddenly, the Skeleton General's soul fire instantly ignited, and a Death Domain immediately enveloped the entire altar.

Tang Mo only felt an invisible, heart-palpitating force rushing toward him.

Tang Mo couldn't help but feel a surge of alarm; just the leakage of some power gave him such a feeling.

If he were truly inside it, the experience would surely be unpleasant.

Sure enough, the Poison Clone controlled by Tang Mo directly dissipated within this pressure.

There was no other way; after all, it was just a condensed Poison Clone and could not withstand such a strong shockwave.

Tang Mo quickly created another Poison Clone to attract the Skeleton General's attention.

Without the first wave of impact from the domain's expansion, the Poison Clone managed to withstand the influence of the Death Domain.

A flash of light and shadow suddenly passed by, and the Poison Clone Tang Mo had just condensed dissipated once again.

Tang Mo clearly perceived that it was a slash just now, and the one who had issued this slash was precisely the Skeleton General on the throne.

He was seen holding the giant sword with one hand, his body still maintaining the posture from when he launched the slash.

The speed was so fast that even with Tang Mo's senses throughout the entire Poison Barrier, he failed to capture when it had moved.

In the sky, the black rain poured down incessantly. The rainwater began to seep into the Skeleton General's skull through the gaps in its bones, and the toxins in the Poison Barrier also began to erode its soul fire.

In a matter of moments, the poison stacks had already reached 6.

The Skeleton General's health began to drop at a rate of 120,000 per second.
