60: Chapter 60: A Difficult-to-Replicate Achievement

Hu Jinsi stood in the center of the great hall, soaked in sweat, his chest heaving violently.

Just as the Sha of Doubt fell, that familiar voice rang in his mind.

"System Notification"

"Congratulations to Awakened Hu Jinsi for purifying the Sha of Doubt under the protection of the Purifying Water, completing the special challenge of the Temple of the Jade Serpent."

"Achievement [Cleanliness] awarded."

"Announcement!"

He opened his panel to view the achievement details — [Achievement: Cleanliness]

[Condition: Purify the Sha of Doubt under the protection of the Purifying Water and complete the special challenge of the Temple of the Jade Serpent.]

[Achievement Reward: 10,000 Class Experience (First to complete), 2% Mental Resistance (Permanent).]

It was simple and unpretentious. No equipment, no titles, no flashy special effects. Just 10,000 experience points and a permanent 2% Mental Resistance bonus.

But as Hu Jinsi looked at these numbers, a smile slowly bloomed at the corner of his mouth.

10,000 experience points was a considerable fortune at this stage. And that 2% Mental Resistance was a permanent attribute boost. While it didn't seem like much now, it wouldn't decay as his level increased. Such rewards would add up over time; eventually, when his Mental Resistance was high enough, it would be extremely useful—perhaps one day Hu Jinsi could even face a Mind Flayer directly.

More importantly, this was the result of seven whole days of effort, repeated failures, constant reviews, and endless optimization of his route and operations.

Every morning he farmed the dungeon, ate local delicacies at noon, and meditated in the afternoon and evening. He had walked the same route countless times and fought the same boss countless times, all for that five-minute extreme challenge.

And now, he had finally done it.

This was the first time Hu Jinsi felt the system announcement voice was so pleasant. Before, every time he heard such server-wide announcements, he felt terrified, as if he had done something bad that was being exposed. But this time was different; this was a result he had earned through solid effort and skill, fair and square, with nothing to worry about.

Hu Jinsi let out a long breath, walked over to the corpse of the Sha of Doubt, and picked up the leather armor dropped by the boss. He didn't rush to check its attributes; instead, he sat down on the stone steps of the great hall, letting his exhausted body rest for a moment.

Sunlight poured in from the skylight at the top of the hall, shining on his face. The gray-white daylight had a warm texture at this moment, making Hu Jinsi feel warm all over.

"Seven days..." he muttered to himself, "At least it wasn't all for nothing."

The great hall was extremely quiet, with only his own breathing echoing in the vast space. After the Sha energy dissipated, the originally gloomy and terrifying hall actually had a bit of a solemn and sacred atmosphere; after all, this was once a holy place dedicated to the Jade Serpent.

After resting for a few minutes, he stood up and patted the dust off his clothes. The Raccoon City police uniform jacket he was wearing was already in tatters, covered in scorched marks and corrosive holes, with some letters blurred by the Sha energy still printed on the back.

"Need to buy some new clothes when I get back."

He took one last look at the Pandaren temple that had accompanied him for seven days—the ancient pine swayed gently in the breeze, the moss on the wall shimmered with moist luster in the sunlight, the roof of the side hall still bore the traces of the tiles he had stepped on countless times, and the statue of the Jade Serpent in the square stood proudly, the gems in its dragon eyes twinkling faintly in the gray-white daylight.

Every corner held his footprints. Every tree, every tile, every step remembered that he had been there.

Then, he stepped into the portal.

Until the evening, life didn't change much for Hu Jinsi.

After all, many people at the entrance of the dungeon were just nodding acquaintances from the past two days; they didn't know each other's full names or backgrounds. They also didn't know that the young man who entered and left the dungeon alone every day was the achievement achiever who had shocked the entire circle of low-level Awakened in Daibei City this afternoon.

At noon, Hu Jinsi tasted the local specialty snacks as usual; today it was large dumplings with seafood filling. The mackerel meat was minced finely, mixed with chives and shrimp, wrapped in thin skin with plenty of filling. One bite released an explosion of juice, so delicious his eyebrows almost fell off. He sat on a plastic stool at the entrance of the small shop, basking in the sun, ate over twenty of them in one go, drank two bowls of seaweed egg drop soup, and felt his belly round and full.

"Boss, ten more to go," he wiped his mouth, still wanting more.

In the afternoon, Hu Jinsi continued to meditate. It wasn't until after 8 PM that his communication terminal started making a dense, rapid beeping sound.

It wasn't one or two messages, but a series of message bombings. The terminal's vibration frequency was so fast it was like it was having a cramp, making the table buzz.

Hu Jinsi exited his meditation state, rubbed his eyes, and picked up the communication terminal. The message list had exploded.

At the very top was a message from Zhen Jin. Zhen Jin's avatar was a simple smiley face, but the message following this smiley face right now was not relaxed at all.

"Brother Jinsi, is that achievement really yours? It's not someone else with the same name, right?"

"I see my classmates in class are discussing it like crazy!"

"They say that buff only lasts 5 minutes; how did you manage to go from the first boss to the final boss in 5 minutes? It's too magical!"

"Those classmates of mine who added you on WeChat earlier are too embarrassed to ask you for details since they don't know you well."

"Can you talk about it? If you can, could you reply to them?"

"I'm about to explode from them asking me!!!"

Followed by a series of exclamation marks and frantic emojis.

Hu Jinsi looked at the messages, the corners of his mouth slightly raised. He typed a reply:

"Yeah, it's me. There's nothing that can't be said. I'll pull them into a group later and tell them."

"Actually, it's just the result of repeated farming these past few days, but it's very likely that apart from a very few classes, most people won't be able to replicate it."

Zhen Jin replied instantly: "!!!"

"Brother Jinsi, you are too fierce!"

"I'll tell them right now!"

After Hu Jinsi finished dealing with Zhen Jin, he added the classmates Zhen Jin had introduced earlier, plus Zhen Jin, into a new group. He casually named the group "Temple of the Jade Serpent Achievement Exchange Group"; it was just a temporary group anyway.

As soon as he entered the group, messages flew in like snowflakes.

"Hello, big shot!"

"Brother Jinsi is awesome!"

"How did you manage that 5-minute speedrun?"

"I tried several times; without mobs, it takes seven or eight minutes just to run from the first boss to the final boss. How did you do it?"

"Big shot, carry me!"

The flattery made Hu Jinsi a bit dizzy. He wasn't very good at handling these situations and always felt uncomfortable being surrounded by praise. He put down the terminal, went to the kitchen to pour a glass of water, and cooled himself down.

After calming down, Hu Jinsi sat back on the cushion and began to reply seriously.

He explained in detail in the group the thoughts he had during his dungeon runs these past few days and the specific implementation methods. From the initial conventional playstyle to the accidentally discovered rooftop route, and then to the precise timing after optimizing the route, every step was explained clearly.

"First, the location of the third boss square can be reached directly from the wall at the dungeon entrance via the rooftop, without needing to fight the mobs on the road."

"My strategy is to climb the tree and go over the wall to the square first, defeat the third boss, then return to the entrance from the roof, and then walk to the side hall on the left to fight the first boss."

"After defeating the first boss, you get the [Purifying Water] buff, which lasts for 5 minutes. Within these 5 minutes, you must rush from the first boss's location to the final boss and defeat the final boss, otherwise the buff will disappear and the achievement won't trigger."

"The fastest route from the first boss's side hall to the final boss's great hall is: exit the side hall -> climb the tree and go over the wall -> walk straight along the side hall's roof -> jump to the final boss's great hall."

Of course, Hu Jinsi also emphasized how he achieved this 5-minute speedrun, as well as the harsh implementation conditions.

"Finally, to summarize." Hu Jinsi typed, "This achievement requires a few hard conditions: First, a high-agility class, movement speed must be fast enough; second, have relatively strong movement skills, the kind that can climb walls and get on roofs; third, be able to solve the Sha of Doubt within 5 minutes, requiring a certain amount of Mental Resistance and damage output capability."

"If these conditions are met, everyone can try to see if you can do it. Or one day I will take you into the dungeon, you can follow me to see the route, and then try to see if you can replicate it."

"As for those classes wearing heavy armor..." Hu Jinsi paused, "I suggest you don't even consider it. It's basically impossible for you to do it. You run too slowly, and climbing walls is a struggle, let alone getting there in 5 minutes."

"At this stage, Mages don't have the ability to teleport either, so it's unlikely they can teleport you directly from the first boss's entrance to the front of the final boss; this is a bit difficult."

"Of course, even if you don't have the ability to climb trees and walls, it is still possible to achieve it. There is another corridor between the first boss and the third boss's square that you can go through, but that corridor might take some extra time. You need to have psychological expectations for this in advance."

After the message was sent, the group was silent for a few minutes.

Then someone asked: "Brother Jinsi, how much extra time does that corridor take?"

"Probably about 1 minute more," Hu Jinsi replied.

"In other words, if you take the corridor, you actually only have two minutes to fight the final boss?"

"Yes."

"..."

The group fell silent again. Solving the Sha of Doubt in two to three minutes was almost an impossible task for most Awakened at this stage.

"It really is a hard-to-replicate achievement," someone sighed.

After agreeing on the plan for tomorrow with a few people in the group, Hu Jinsi finally remembered that there was a piece of equipment he hadn't had time to look at today.

He took the leather armor dropped by the Sha of Doubt out of his backpack and expanded the attribute panel.

[Despair Breastplate]

[Type: Light Armor / Leather Armor]

[Defense Bonus: +4]

[Required Level: 11]

[Desperate Situation: When your HP drops below 30%, the Sha energy remaining on the breastplate will transform into a Shadow Shield that absorbs 30 points of damage, helping you fight back in a desperate situation. Cooldown: 3 hours.]

[Item Description: This leather armor is tanned from the hardest black keratin of the Sha of Doubt. The surface of the breastplate is covered with twisted cracks, as if countless painful faces are roaring silently. It is so heavy that it doesn't feel like a piece of clothing, but more like a coffin worn on the body.]

Hu Jinsi held the breastplate in his hand and examined it. The leather armor was pitch black all over, and it had a strange touch when touched. It wasn't the flexibility of ordinary leather, but carried a kind of cold, hard feel like metal. The front of the breastplate was covered with fine cracks, and the direction of the cracks eerily formed the outlines of several twisted faces, as if frozen in some kind of painful expression. Looking closely, the eyes of those "faces" seemed to be glowing faintly, and dark purple light flowed in the cracks.

"This design..." Hu Jinsi smacked his lips, "It really lives up to being produced by the Sha of Doubt."

However, the attributes were quite practical. That "Desperate Situation" passive was a life-saving skill at critical moments; when HP dropped below 30%, it automatically triggered a 30-point Shadow Shield, which was equivalent to having an extra small bar of health out of thin air.

After reading the attributes of this leather armor, Hu Jinsi took a screenshot of the attributes and sent it to Su Wan, asking her if she needed it.

[Hu Jinsi: Dropped in the dungeon today, do you see if it's useful? [Image]]

Maybe it was a bit late in the day, Su Wan didn't reply immediately. Hu Jinsi wasn't in a hurry and put this matter to the back of his mind for now. He began to think about another more important problem: experience allocation.

Hu Jinsi was now level 11, but he hadn't drawn his level 11 specialty yet.

After farming the dungeon for these past few days, the experience left for the level 11 specialty was almost enough.

He calculated in his mind: Level 11 specialty draw: requires 1000 experience, level 11 -> 12 upgrade: requires 2000 experience, level 12 specialty draw: requires 2000 experience, level 12 -> 13 upgrade: requires 4000 experience.

Hu Jinsi counted on his fingers; all in all, that was already 8000 experience gone. In other words, with the 10,000 experience points rewarded plus what he had saved before, he could at most reach level 13, and wouldn't even be able to get the level 13 specialty.

Originally, when he first got the achievement, he felt that the 10,000 class experience points were quite a lot. But after calculating carefully, in the face of this upgrade system, this bit of experience was just a drop in the bucket. Especially later on, 13 to 14 requires 8000 points, 14 to 15 requires 16,000 points; the more you go, the more experience you need, growing exponentially.

Hu Jinsi recalled later that the final 19 -> 20 upgrade requires 510,000 class experience points. This number made him gasp. Based on the current farming efficiency, this upgrade would clearly take months at the later stages, possibly even half a year.

"No wonder you only need to be level 30 before graduation to have the basic qualifications for guaranteed admission..." he muttered to himself, "This upgrade speed is too agonizing."

But thinking aside, the experience that needs to be spent still has to be spent. Hu Jinsi didn't have the habit of saving too much experience; experience left in the panel wouldn't earn interest, and converting it into strength was the serious business.

[Do you want to spend 1000 experience points to draw a level 11 class specialty?]

"Yes."

The numbers on the panel jumped, and three specialty options appeared before his eyes.

[Lacerating Wound: Your attacks can precisely tear the "energy core" of elemental creatures to make them dissipate, or destroy the "hydraulic/lubrication system" of constructs to cause their function loss.

Effect: You can cause bleeding damage to elemental creatures and constructs.]

[Mist Condensation: True Qi does not dissipate, gathering into mist. Ordinary Renewing Mist is like fine rain moistening things, but you forcibly lock the scattered True Qi around the injured person—that is not a gentle nourishment, but a majestic vitality that is heavy as a thousand jun per tick.

Prerequisite: You must be able to cast Renewing Mist.

Effect: Your Renewing Mist is enhanced. For every new person it expands to, the healing amount per tick increases (Perception * 10%).]

[Circulate Qi: Once per long rest, you can regain all consumed Qi, and additionally restore your Monk level * 2 HP.]

With the three options in front of him, Hu Jinsi didn't hesitate much and locked onto the first one directly.

[Lacerating Wound].

Because he was worried that [Crane Form: Lonely Phoenix Style] could not deal bleeding damage when facing many enemies. Elemental creatures have no blood, constructs have no blood vessels, these are all blind spots for bleeding effects. But with this specialty, the only thing that can't deal bleeding damage is the undead. Elementals, constructs, flesh creatures, can all be tagged with a bleeding dot.

"Now Crane Form: Lonely Phoenix Style can truly be considered fully formed." Hu Jinsi nodded with satisfaction.

The other two specialties weren't needed for now. Although the healing enhancement of [Mist Condensation] was good, his current [Renewing Mist] healing amount was already enough; one cast could restore more than a quarter of his HP, so there was no need to rush to enhance it.

The problem with "Circulating Qi" is that it can only be used once a day, and in combat, there is no way to take time to jump out of the fray to circulate qi and recover it.

It might be worth considering when there is a safer environment, but it is not a high priority right now.

"Select [Lacerating Wound]."

[Unlocked Level 11 Talent: Lacerating Wound]

The moment the talent was unlocked, Hu Jinsi felt a subtle tingling sensation in his fingertips, as if countless tiny currents of qi were moving under his skin.

He knew this was his body adapting to the new ability—from now on, his attacks would be able to directly damage the core structures of elemental creatures and constructs, allowing them to feel the pain of "bleeding" as well.

With the Level 11 talent sorted, Hu Jinsi did not pause and continued with his operations.

"Level Up."

Another 2000 experience points were deducted, and a warm current spread from the panel throughout his body; his bones emitted a faint cracking sound, and his muscle fibers were strengthened at a microscopic level. Level 12.

[Level Up: Level 12]

[Do you wish to spend 2000 experience points to draw a Level 12 class talent?]

"Yes."

The panel flickered again, and three new talent options appeared.

[Parry: When you are hit by an attack that includes bludgeoning, piercing, or slashing damage, you can use your reaction to reduce the total damage dealt by this attack. The reduction depends on your Agility and level.

If the damage of the Parry is reduced to 0, you can consume 1 point of qi to redirect the damage of this attack.

If it is a melee attack, choose a creature you can see within 1.5 meters of you;

If it is a ranged attack, choose a creature within 20 meters that is not behind total cover and is visible to you.

Its damage type is the same as the original attack's damage type.]

[Monastic Weapon: You have received traditional weapon training from a monastery or sect. You are permitted to possess a rare weapon with the "Monk" trait and gain faster mastery of monk weapons.

Effect: Allows the use of monk weapons (such as nunchaku, katana), and the bonus attacks of Flurry of Blows can now use monk weapons.

If you gain proficiency in a weapon with the 'Finesse' trait through other means, that weapon is also counted as a monk weapon.]

[Chi Strike: You infuse your internal qi into your attacks.

Effect: Consume 1 point of qi to increase the damage of the next unarmed attack by +1, and the damage type can be changed to Force, Positive Energy (only for neutral or good monks), or Lawful (only for lawful monks) damage.]

Hu Jinsi analyzed them one by one.

The first option, [Parry], is basically a monk version of the Great Shift, neutralizing enemy attacks and even using their own strength to bounce the damage back at them. The only drawback is that it requires consuming qi, which is a bit of a luxury at this stage where qi is already in short supply.

The second option, [Monastic Weapon], is interesting. Hu Jinsi had always had a regret; the bonus attacks from Flurry of Blows could only be done with unarmed strikes, not weapons. This meant he couldn't unleash the maximum output of Flurry of Blows when he needed to maintain distance.

But if he chose this talent, he could use his ironwood staff to initiate Flurry of Blows, swinging the staff at the boss three times in a row—just thinking about it was satisfying.

The third option, [Chi Strike], fills a gap in his damage types. Force damage, Positive Energy damage, Lawful damage—these are all damage types Hu Jinsi currently lacks, and they would be highly effective against enemies with specific resistances. But it is also a heavy consumer of qi, and at this stage where he lacks means to recover qi, it is not very cost-effective.

"Select [Monastic Weapon]."

This choice was almost instantaneous. Hu Jinsi's current combat style had already begun to shift toward a hybrid model of "weapons + skills," using the staff to maintain distance, Spinning Crane Kick for clearing mobs, and Flurry of Blows for burst damage. And [Monastic Weapon] perfectly filled the weakest link in this system.

[Unlocked Level 12 Talent: Monastic Weapon]

The moment the talent was unlocked, Hu Jinsi felt a warm, tingling sensation in his hands, which were accustomed to holding the staff. His muscle memory was re-encoded at a microscopic level, and those techniques regarding swinging, sweeping, hacking, and thrusting with the staff became clearer in his mind. He vaguely felt that if he picked up that ironwood staff now, he would definitely be able to execute combos that were smoother and sharper than before.

"Let's try it." He stood up, pulled the staff from his backpack, and swung it through the air twice.

Whoosh—whoosh—

The wind from the staff was sharper than before, and the angle and force of his strikes had subtly improved. The most intuitive change was that he could feel that if he initiated Flurry of Blows now, the staff could participate as well; it was no longer a solo dance of bare hands, but a unification of staff and fist.

Hu Jinsi spent another 4000 of his remaining experience points, raising his level to 13 before stopping. He didn't push it further; he closed the panel and settled his mind to continue meditating.

The road ahead was still long.

The next day, as promised, Hu Jinsi took the classmates who wanted to try it into the Temple of the Jade Serpent dungeon.

Those who came were all classmates from Zhen Jin's class, and they were all peers of Hu Jinsi.

Hu Jinsi demonstrated the complete route for them on the spot, showing how to step on the roofs from Priestess Liu's location to return to the Jinyu side hall, and how to quickly reach the final boss, Sha of Doubt, after coming out from the Jinyu's side. During the demonstration, he did not fight the bosses, just purely running the map, explaining the key points of every segment of the journey clearly.

"Pay attention to the load-bearing capacity of the tiles here; some places will collapse if you step on them."

"This distance requires a jump; charge up your power in advance."

"Use this branch for leverage, and you can vault directly onto the wall."

After the demonstration, Hu Jinsi let them all try it themselves, walking from the Jinyu's side hall all the way to the Sha of Doubt, to see how long it took each of them.

"Four minutes and seventeen seconds." Hu Jinsi glanced at the timer. This was the best result among them.

Four minutes. That was 43 seconds away from the 5-minute limit. But the problem was, it was impossible to take down the Sha of Doubt in the remaining 1 minute.

So, for them, this plan was only a scheme that sounded feasible but was actually unlikely to be achieved.

Hu Jinsi patted his shoulder: "It's not your problem; this achievement itself is extremely harsh. I was able to do it because all the conditions just happened to align. My monk is inherently a high-agility, high-mobility class, and I was unarmored and unencumbered, so I had almost no impact on my speed. Plus, the vertical movement ability of [Parkour] and the extra speed from [Unarmored Movement]—all these were indispensable."

"As for other classes in our Eastern faction, the only one I can think of that might achieve the same effect as me, or even move faster than me, is the Thief class. But when a Thief faces the Sha of Doubt, they might need to stack more Mental Resistance gear; otherwise, it's unlikely they could finish the fight within 5 minutes."

The others also tried their travel speeds. None of them could run it within 5 minutes.

"Alright, don't be discouraged." Hu Jinsi waved his hand, "I'll take you through the boss fights and explain the mechanics."

Although the achievement couldn't be replicated, the people who followed Hu Jinsi into the dungeon didn't come away empty-handed. Hu Jinsi accompanied them through all the dungeon bosses, explaining every boss's mechanics clearly. The Jinyu's Corrupted Living Water splitting, the Lorewalker's Yaungol balance tactic, the Priestess's three-phase Fire DOT, and the Sha of Doubt's mental attacks and clone management.

Since this dungeon hadn't been open for very long, everyone only had a half-understanding of the mechanics. Currently, most people were fighting normally according to old habits and didn't know the optimal solutions.

As for Hu Jinsi, he certainly wouldn't say that he "already knew the answer from the start," but instead made an excuse: "When I farmed it alone, I had more time to observe the bosses' skills, so my summary is more comprehensive."

"So that's how it is..." The few people suddenly realized.

"That Yaungol actually requires balanced DPS? I thought we were supposed to focus fire on one first!"

"The Priestess's knockback is only 3 meters? Then if I stay at 4 meters, I can cheese it?"

"The Jinyu's water spout doesn't sweep upwards? Then getting on the crossbeam would be a safe zone!"

The few people took notes while fighting, gaining a lot. Hu Jinsi was happy to share; this information had no value to him anymore, but for others, it was an invaluable strategy guide.

After leaving the dungeon, since it was still early, the group discussed their next plans.

Usually, when Hu Jinsi farmed the Temple of the Jade Serpent alone, the whole run took about two hours. But this time, there were 5 people fighting together, the mobs were cleared quickly, and coupled with Hu Jinsi's precise explanation of the boss mechanics, the combat time was significantly shortened, so even with the explanations included, they came out in less than two hours.

There was still some time before lunch, so the group discussed and decided to take a trip to a nearby dungeon—the Deadmines. According to those among them who had been there, it was actually quite fast and could be finished in half a day.

He had forgotten to introduce the composition of these people in detail earlier. Taking advantage of the time now, Hu Jinsi silently sorted it out in his mind.

The tank was named Hu Jianguo. Not only was he from the same family clan as Hu Jinsi, but his class was also the Eastern version of Hu Jinsi's class, which was an Eastern-faction Monk. However, he followed the pure muscle-build route, using standard techniques like Boy's Arts, Golden Bell Shield, and Iron Shirt.

His weapons were a precept blade and a shield; he wore dark blue monk robes with a sash around his waist, and his bracers and greaves were both crafted from refined iron. He looked exactly like a secular disciple who had walked out of a temple, completely different from Hu Jinsi's mixed-and-matched style.

Hu Jinsi secretly sized him up. Hu Jianguo was half a head taller than him, broad-shouldered and thick-waisted; just standing there, he looked like an iron tower. That set of refined iron bracers and greaves weighed at least thirty or forty catties, but Hu Jianguo walked with them as steady as a mountain, and even his footsteps were calm and heavy. This was the terrifying aspect of a pure muscle-build Monk: sacrificing agility for extreme defense, tanking damage without falling.

"Truly different from me..." Hu Jinsi sighed in his heart.

The healer was named Li Xiuying, a Pharmacist. She carried a bamboo medicine chest on her back, and her waist was hung with small porcelain bottles and silver needle pouches. This class was also a mix of combat and life skills, but she might lean more toward the life skill side.

However, among the Eastern faction classes, her role on the battlefield was also very powerful. Not only could she perform health recovery after battle using pills, but during combat, she could also strengthen everyone's instantaneous abilities at any time through golden needle stimulation, and she also had a decent ranged flying needle technique.

Hu Jinsi noticed that Li Xiuying's needle pouch was a circle larger than usual, and the lengths of the silver needles varied, some long and some short, some thick and some thin. Although this girl looked quiet and gentle, Hu Jinsi never dared to underestimate a sister who played with needles; the strong ones had Dongfang Bubai as a precedent, and at worst, they were Li Mochou.

There were three people in the DPS positions. Hu Jinsi himself occupied one spot; after all, his class was a Monk, especially a dual-school Monk of the Mistweaver School and the Life Stream Sect. This dual-school positioning allowed him to both DPS and heal, making his position in the team quite flexible.

The other two DPS spots: one was the Artisan Zhao Guoqiang. This person mainly used Eastern-style mechanisms; he had mechanism boxes strapped to his arms and calves, and a modified repeating crossbow on his back. When he walked, the mechanism boxes made a clicking gear sound, as if he were carrying a small workshop with him.

Hu Jinsi secretly pondered that if he gave the [Temple of the Jade Serpent Sentry Musket] he had obtained earlier to Zhao Guoqiang, the style would probably be a perfect match—an Eastern Artisan holding an antique musket, just thinking about it was interesting.

The last DPS spot was a Corpse-Driving Daoist named Sun Tou. This class could be simply understood as an Eastern Warlock. However, while Western Warlocks summon demon pets, the Corpse-Driving Daoist uses Corpse Refining techniques, turning monster corpses into their own pets.

Of course, it was different from the Western Necromancer; the Corpse-Driving Daoist wouldn't control an especially large number of corpses. At low levels, it was usually just one, and occasionally a second one couldn't be precisely controlled and could only be used temporarily as a meat shield or to rush over and explode.

Sun Tou currently had a refined corpse following him; it was a Pandaren corpse brought out from the Temple of the Jade Serpent dungeon, which had been turned into his servant after refining. The refined corpse was wrapped in talismans and made a creaking joint-friction sound while walking, looking somewhat eerie.

Because they were a temporarily formed team, there wasn't any detailed information shared among them. What talents I have, what skills I have—nothing was detailed.

They only simply introduced their positions in the dungeon and their output methods, and that was it. Because, anyway, they had been to these dungeons before, and the group didn't intend to challenge high difficulties, so it wasn't a big problem.

Hu Jinsi didn't ask much either. A temporary team, after all, values a tacit understanding. If you can fight, fight; if you can't, retreat. There was no psychological burden.

The entrance to the Deadmines was surprisingly an actual mine tunnel.

The stone archway was hidden beneath a low hill, surrounded by overgrown weeds; if not for the gray-white vortex marking the dungeon entrance, one wouldn't be able to tell it was a dungeon at all. The interior of the mine was pitch black, and one could vaguely hear the sound of dripping water and the echo of metal clashing from deep within.

Hu Jinsi was no longer surprised by this. In terms of restoring dungeon scenes, this world was always "authentic"; what it said it was, it was.

Instead, he was looking forward to whether, if fragments of Upper or Lower Blackrock Spire descended into this world, the dungeon entrance could really manifest a Blackrock Spire? That giant fortress standing on the Burning Steppes, with lava pouring down from the top of the tower, and Dark Iron Dwarves hammering away inside the tower... the scene would be spectacular just to think about.

"However, the difficulty of Blackrock Spire is much higher than the Deadmines." He thought silently in his heart, "At the current level, going there is just asking to be served as a meal."

Without too much hesitation, this team, which was not even "one-minute-familiar" (to Hu Jinsi), filed into the dungeon.

The gray-white vortex swirled before his eyes, and his vision was swallowed by white light.
