28: Chapter 28 Restaurant Conflict

Qingyuan County, Drunken Immortal Tower.

The tavern that once had the most bustling business now seemed quiet.

Although the daily profit was still acceptable, if the Golden Night Tower had never appeared, the Drunken Immortal Tower could have maintained its original popularity.

Today, Liang Heng was the host, leading three or five close friends into the tavern. They chatted and laughed amongst themselves, eagerly discussing the progress of their martial arts cultivation.

Among them, one figure's appearance was particularly youthful, seeming somewhat out of place compared to the rough men present, yet no one present dared to slight him.

This was because he was Su Xuanheng, the eldest son of the Su Family.

At only eleven years old, he had already stepped into the Innate Martial Artist Realm, holding the potential to achieve the Grandmaster Realm before reaching adulthood.

"Xuan Heng, practicing martial arts requires a balance of relaxation and intensity. Let's have a few drinks today to unwind."

Liang Heng was tall and burly.

Whether it was his build, appearance, or laughter, he bore a striking resemblance to his father, Liang Xiao.

The person next to him immediately laughed and chided, "Go away, go away. Xuan Heng is still young, how can he touch alcohol?"

"Oh, come on. Martial Artists don't have so many scruples. With Xuan Heng's Qi and Blood strength, we'll probably be drunk before he even feels it."

Liang Heng certainly didn't believe Su Xuanheng couldn't handle alcohol.

The Physique of a Martial Artist was powerful; one couldn't judge by conventional standards.

Su Xuanheng calmly shook his head and refused. He disliked the smell of alcohol, and his presence with these men was purely for exchanging martial arts knowledge.

The few men walked into the Drunken Immortal Tower while chatting.

A foul, pungent odor wafted over, causing Liang Heng and the others to immediately frown tightly.

As the owner of the Drunken Immortal Tower, smelling such filth in his own establishment was tantamount to slapping himself in the face.

Liang Heng instantly felt his dignity wounded.

Looking around, he saw a group of ragged, slovenly beggars defiling the delicacies on the tables with their dark, large hands, gulping down the fine wine like oxen drinking water.

They ate without any decorum, and the stench emanating from them, like that of a sewer, drove away the nobles who had intended to come in and spend money.

"What the hell is going on? Manager! Waiter! Get over here for me!"

Liang Heng glared furiously, summoning the person in charge of the tavern.

Su Xuanheng remained silent, ignoring the beggars on the first floor, and looked up towards the second-floor walkway.

"Oh my, it seems Young Master Liang and Young Master Su have arrived."

The manager of the Drunken Immortal Tower rushed over, sweating profusely from anxiety.

"Tell me what is happening. Why is the Drunken Immortal Tower full of beggars? If you don't give me a satisfactory explanation, you can just wait to die!"

Liang Heng stepped forward and slapped the manager to the ground.

"Young Master, it's not my fault! It was people from the Golden Night Tower!"

The manager's face was swollen, but he quickly scrambled up, daring not to show any anger.

He hurriedly explained, "The consumption rule at the Drunken Immortal Tower requires the use of Spirit Crystals, so people from the Golden Night Tower came here to treat these beggars. I truly didn't know what to do!"

"What, people from the Golden Night Tower?"

Upon hearing this, Liang Heng's anger surged, "Where are they? Damn it, they dare to cause trouble in my Drunken Immortal Tower? Are they tired of living?!"

They hadn't even used any underhanded tactics yet, and the other side had struck first.

This was truly despicable! Since they wanted a fight so badly, then let's have one!

Did they really think the Five Great Families of Qingyuan were pushovers?

"Brother Liang, calm down. This might be a trap."

Su Xuanheng couldn't help but speak up to remind him.

His Divine Sense had already swept over the people upstairs. Although they looked defenseless, they were dressed lavishly and had two Innate Martial Artists protecting them.

Judging by their surprised expressions, they hadn't expected Liang Heng and his group to arrive.

But Liang Heng didn't care about any of that. He directly drew the long saber at his waist, and the head of one beggar flew through the air.

Blood splattered!

"All of you, stop eating! The Drunken Immortal Tower is not a place for trash like you to come! Get out of here immediately!"

Liang Heng's face was contorted, the splashing blood staining his robes, making him look utterly ferocious.

The beggars who had been feasting were so terrified they nearly choked to death on the spot, and then they scattered in a panic.

As if feeling it wasn't enough to vent his anger, Liang Heng raised his saber again and killed another beggar passing by.

This scene caused Su Xuanheng's brow to furrow deeply, overturning his perception of the scions of great families.

Clearly, these beggars were just being used as pawns. The one they should be dealing with was the person upstairs.

Yet, Liang Heng didn't calmly analyze the situation; instead, he took his anger out on the beggars.

It seemed the courtesy and enthusiasm shown to him by the Family scions were only because they belonged to the same social stratum.

If he were just an ordinary person, these Family scions would treat his life as lowly as that of a beggar.

Su Xuanheng pondered internally, deciding to wait and see what happened.

He had already offered a reminder to Liang Heng, but the other party didn't take the advice. There was truly nothing he could do.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk. Is this the hospitality of the Drunken Immortal Tower?"

A handsome youth, shaking a folding fan, slowly walked down the second-floor steps.

His expression was mocking as he looked at the two corpses on the ground and clicked his tongue, "Clearly, this young master paid Spirit Crystals for these beggars. According to the rules, the Drunken Immortal Tower should have entertained them normally."

"But now it seems the rules of the Drunken Immortal Tower are truly famous. Even if commoners have Spirit Crystals, they are still unwelcome at the Drunken Immortal Tower, and even face the risk of death."

"Who would dare come to a tavern like this? No wonder the Drunken Immortal Tower's business has declined so much."

Zheng Feng, a scion of the Zheng Family, an outside Family.

One of the families behind the Golden Night Tower was the Zheng Family.

The Drunken Immortal Tower manager was about to speak, intending to inform Liang Heng of the other party's identity, but was interrupted by a furious roar.

"It's you, you little rat, causing trouble in my Drunken Immortal Tower? This is Qingyuan. Even if you're a Dragon, you must coil up here!"

Liang Heng's Protective Aura erupted, and he roared fiercely, "Kneel down now and apologize. This young master might grant you a chance to live!"

As soon as these words were spoken, everyone around Liang Heng's expression shifted slightly.

There was no way the other party would agree to such terms. It looked like a fight was about to break out directly!

The crowd exchanged glances, finally directing their gaze toward Su Xuanheng, inquiring whether he intended to lend his aid.

Su Xuanheng's face darkened.

He also didn't know how to handle such a situation. It would be great if Xuanming were here.

Generally, when encountering a situation one doesn't understand, drawing one's sword is never wrong.

But this was on their own turf. They should have the advantage and many ways to respond.

Drawing a sword first would undoubtedly be the worst option, as it would put the Drunken Immortal Tower in a passive position.

Instead, Liang Heng ignored everyone's advice and directly stirred the situation into a complete mess.

"What kind of bastard dares to demand this young master kneel?"

Zheng Feng's expression turned cold, and he raised his hand, signaling his guards to teach the other party a lesson.

The moment the guards drew their blades, Liang Heng also moved.

Su Xuanheng's eyebrows shot up; he suddenly understood.

Liang Heng was an idiot who couldn't think, and Zheng Feng was equally foolish, completely failing to grasp Liang Heng's strength.

The clash happened in a flash of lightning and sparks; blades and shadows intersected instantly.

The guard's head flew off, his expression still carrying a trace of bewildered shock!

Liang Heng was completely blinded by rage and, in just a few steps, closed in on Zheng Feng.

The other guard's pupils contracted sharply; his blade had just left its sheath.

Then came a sickening squelching sound as the long saber sliced through flesh. Turning to look, the young master he was supposed to protect was already dismembered...

"It's over!"

Everyone present, including Su Xuanheng, hadn't expected Liang Heng to actually kill the opponent directly.

Nor had they expected Zheng Feng's guards to be so weak yet still dare to provoke trouble at the Drunken Immortal Tower.

What was the difference between this and delivering oneself as a target?

No, the real reason was likely that Zheng Feng hadn't anticipated that causing trouble would coincide with the owner of the Drunken Immortal Tower being present, nor had he anticipated that Liang Heng happened to be a powerful yet brainless Xiantian Realm Perfection Martial Artist.

The manager immediately fell to his knees.

His face was bloodless, and he trembled, "Young Master, you have caused a huge disaster!"
