293: Short sellers' doomsday

Over the past two days, the US Stock Market has seen chaos unfold, led by two major tech stocks: NVIDIA and Netflix.

First, the bears launched a frenzied attack, causing these two stocks to plummet continuously, leaving Retail Investors with heavy losses and widespread panic selling.

But then came Wang Lin's aggressive entry.

This gave the bears a massive headache; running into such a wealthy bull made their short-selling process incredibly difficult.

The subsequent developments only made them feel even more miserable.

Wang Lin's massive cash flow and his relentless buying—as if he were determined to become a major shareholder—left them terrified.

After all, while those Retail Investors might not understand, they knew that Netflix and NVIDIA were actually excellent companies.

Once this crisis passed, the stock prices would slowly rise again.

Many eyes are watching right now.

Carson Block, the head of Muddy Waters, is now struggling to withstand the pressure; ever since Wang Lin released his news, the momentum of the bulls has become nearly impossible to suppress.

Especially today, when the CEO of NVIDIA personally stepped in to release a teaser for NVIDIA.

The Pascal architecture has arrived as solid as a mountain!!

Influenced by this news.

NVIDIA's pre-market trading surged with great momentum, with the share price instantly rising above $1 and continuing to climb.

Looking at the situation, it seems the opening bell will likely crush the bears. (A quick note: I did not check for forward/backward adjustments; I am just projecting based on the current price. The actual real price back then should have been around $18.)

Inside Muddy Waters.

A hint of daze appeared in Carson's eyes.

"It's over."

"It's completely over now; this short position on NVIDIA is truly going to crash!!"

After the market officially opened.

NVIDIA's share price soared even higher.

Countless Institutions also saw NVIDIA's strength and future, and began frantically snatching up shares.

NVIDIA has succeeded!!

Seeing this, the person happiest about it wasn't Wang Lin.

It was Morgan Ored, who had gone to act as a lobbyist yesterday.

On the side of the Morgan Family.

OReid's mouth was stretched wide with joy. As he looked at the data collected by his subordinates, the more he saw, the more he liked it: "The short-selling ratio has dropped by more than half, Institutions are frantically grabbing shares, and Goldman Sachs has even upgraded their rating to a strong buy!"

"And the target price has actually reached $3; that's more than a twofold increase."

"The short positions over at Muddy Waters are actually starting to show signs of liquidation!!"

"Good news, it's all good news! Following Brother Lin is truly awesome. I can hold onto these bottom-fishing shares for a lifetime!!"

Not to mention.

OReid didn't need to hold them for a lifetime; even if he could steadily hold them for 10 years, until the AI frenzy in 2025, NVIDIA's terrifying growth would be enough for him to look down on the entire family.

"It wouldn't be very cost-effective to buy more now; I'll just sit on the mountain and watch the tigers fight for now!!"

"Thanks, Brother Lin!!"

"I heard that the big shots in China like our luxury cars here. Get me a few limited-edition ones. I'll go over personally later to thank Brother Lin. Also, get some diamonds and jade—pick the most expensive ones. I want to give Brother Lin a huge amount of face!!"

Besides NVIDIA.

Netflix was not to be outdone either. Their Q1 performance was excellent, with global users breaking the 90 million mark for the first time, far exceeding market expectations.

Once this news was released, Netflix also began to surge instantly.

In short.

No matter how you look at it, today is the doomsday for those bears.
