Chapter 95 The Great Wall at Sea 2

Looking closely, the distant deck was shimmering with heat haze, just like asphalt that had been baking in the sun for hours...

It meant the distant deck was densely packed with those monsters!

"They're all monsters?! How many are there?" Without hesitation, Zhou Yan reached back and pulled out a Kruk rocket launcher, aiming directly at The Young Man holding the "Portal."

The Young Man also saw Zhou Yan inside the Portal, a hint of surprise just beginning to show on his face.

There were actually living people at home? And a normal one at that?

Did the monster leave?

"Hurry, leave! That monster isn't in Building 17 anymore! Let's go home first!"

Before The Young Man could finish speaking, Zhou Yan had already shouldered the Kruk rocket launcher and aimed it at him!

The child whom the man in pajamas had left at the very back of the group suddenly went stiff, his back arching like a shrimp, and an orange-yellow light began to emit from his body!

Zhou Yan observed very carefully...

Although they were far apart, Zhou Yan had excellent eyesight!

One by one, strange-looking and bizarrely colored sea creatures were constantly climbing from the water onto the deck of the Warship!

Lobsters and crabs that usually looked incredibly delicious were now looking at the humans with mouths watering...

After climbing up, they would lie on the deck, twitching incessantly...

A pool of transparent liquid would flow out from their shells, gradually transforming into those transparent monsters! Upon approaching the humans, they would "melt" again and then drill into the child's body like water!!

So, that was how the crabs and lobsters in Building 17 got there?

Had it gone through such a distant Portal?

Zhou Yan didn't dare hesitate; there were simply too many monsters! He fired the rocket launcher immediately!

Never mind the dozen or so people inside the Portal; even if there were eight hundred, he had to blow up the idiot who opened it!

Zhou Yan finally understood where that "Saiyan" came from!

And he finally understood why the military had disappeared and why national rescue had been so late in arriving!

It was gone!

There was no rescue!

In the scene inside the Portal, apart from the people on this ship, Zhou Yan didn't see any soldiers; even the distant Warships were just floating quietly on the water...

No fighting, no sound.

A dead silence...

The Young Man holding the "Portal" had his eyes wide open. Seeing the rocket heading straight for him, he instantly unclenched his fist and threw himself onto the deck!

The rocket, trailing a massive plume of fire, flew right over his head!

Using all four limbs, The Young Man lunged forward!

He nimbly passed through the circular "Portal" and landed on the ground in front of Zhou Yan.

"Screw being a good person!" The Young Man shouted, covering his head with both hands...

"Boom!" The rocket hit the distant deck and exploded.

The shockwave instantly sent many transparent creatures flying. Zhou Yan could clearly hear the "squeaking" screams coming from inside the Portal, and a pungent, rotten-egg stench wafted out from the circular "Portal"...

After the flames and smoke dissipated, the child's body was radiating a thick, orange-yellow light, his gaze cruel as he stared fixedly at Zhou Yan through the "Portal."

The rocket had failed to hit him...

Zhou Yan, with a nonchalant attitude that could infuriate anyone, waved at the "child." "Is that you, Trunks?"

The child lunged toward Zhou Yan, extending his hand in an attempt to grab him!

Just then, the entire circular Portal, having lost the power supply from The Young Man, instantly shrank, flashed a spark in the air, and vanished...

Leaving behind only a small severed piece of the child's arm on the ground...

Zhou Yan glanced at The Young Man lying on the ground.

He wasn't a fool; that door was, in all likelihood, The Young Man's ability!

A Portal?

The Young Man opened his eyes, looking a bit dazed.

"Hey! Hey? Hey!"

He shouted while forcefully clapping his hands near his ears.

He had been hit hard by the shockwave...

Behind him, a massive chunk of concrete finally gave way and fell to the floor with a dull "thud."

The Young Man finally breathed a sigh of relief: "I think I heard that..."

Afterward, he looked nervously at Zhou Yan, who was standing to the side, then cautiously stood up, clenching his small fists.

Zhou Yan stared at his fists in silence. He had been clenching them when he activated his ability earlier; it seemed this was some kind of "gesture" to trigger his power?

Is this guy trying to run?

The Young Man watched the silent Zhou Yan and nervously swallowed.

Aside from opening doors, he couldn't do anything...

He had no combat ability whatsoever!

"What's going on? What's the situation with that fleet of Warships?"

"Huh?"

"I'm asking you what's going on! What happened!?"

"What did you say?" The Young Man looked at Zhou Yan in surprise, thinking to himself: This guy looks pretty ruthless, the type to pull out a rocket launcher without a word, so why does he talk like he left his vocal cords at home?

Zhou Yan was so angry he really wanted to shoot him, but he realized his eardrums must have been damaged.

He paced around a few times and found some paper and a pen.

After their silent exchange, Zhou Yan's heart finally sank.

The Young Man had just experienced his Awakening in the last two days. His ability was special: as long as he thought of a specific location in his mind, he could open a special door, and behind the door would be the place he wanted to go.

Yes, exactly as Zhou Yan had guessed.

What he had in his mind was...

The military.

He wanted to find the military; he wanted to find rescue.

But the ideal was beautiful, and the reality was cruel.

The moment that door was actually opened, The Young Man and all the residents of Building 17 were extremely excited.

They thought rescue was right before their eyes.

Behind the door was that fleet of Warships spanning the ocean.

During the exploration, the person in charge of the high-rise in Building 17, who always wanted to be first in everything, lived up to his reputation: he was the first to be controlled by those monsters,

and immediately started a massacre among the crowd...

In the moment of crisis, The Young Man suddenly had an idea!

Why don't I just send him back home?

Thus, the first Saiyan of Building 17 was born...

Before leaving, he even grabbed some gifts:

A sea crab, a lobster...

...

After searching the Warships, everyone discovered that there wasn't a single living person on that fleet!

There were corpses everywhere on the ships—rotting, broken ones.

All the weapons and ammunition on the ships had been exhausted.

In the direction behind this "Portal" that Zhou Yan was facing, there was an even more terrifying area...

That was the joint naval force of several major nations on Blue Star...

All of it was Warships and aircraft destroyed by missiles...

Those monsters, from who knows where, had slaughtered all the military forces.

The monsters weren't durable, but they could turn invisible and could even lurk inside human bodies for a very, very long time!

If you fight, everyone is your own people; if you don't fight, who knows when the person opposite you will transform?

The center point of these Warships was the nest of those invisible monsters...

At the very end, these soldiers hadn't retreated a single step, using the Warships to surround the monsters' nest.

By the looks of it, the military had failed...

Everyone had wanted to scavenge supplies on the ships before trying to find a way to leave, but they never expected that the number of transparent monsters here might be greater than the number of ships on the sea...

Before long, of the dozens of people, only a dozen or so were left alive.

Finally, everyone couldn't hold on any longer and had to turn back.

Although there were monsters everywhere here...

At least at home, there was only one...

What followed was the scene where the door was opened, and everyone was finished off by Zhou Yan's rocket.

After reading the last word The Young Man wrote, Zhou Yan turned around decisively.

Damn it, this Young Man looked like an idiot!

He said he only sent one over, but Zhou Yan had killed two...

Plus the pile of lobster shells in the room...

And that sea crab...

In this area, there was at least one more!

He had thought the lobster shells on the floor were a big meal eaten by the residents of Building 17!

By the looks of it, it was planning to come to Building 17 for a big meal!

This place was not fit to stay in any longer!
