11: Chapter 11 Cloud Chariot

Luo Yunkai stood under the eaves, watching Xiao Tian practice his punches in the courtyard.

Xiao Tian's Spiritual Root issue had not been resolved, so he could not Cultivate. Luo Yunkai remembered the martial arts he practiced when he was young and tossed them over to him.

For the past two days, he had been relying on Spirit Stones and healing pills bought from the Qingyun Shop to mend the internal injuries caused by his failed Breakthrough. His Cheap son had been guarding the outside of his Cultivation room, practicing punches.

After listening for a few days, this was the first time he had seen his Cheap son practice punches.

In just three short days, he already had a decent form, his punches whistling with fierce intent.

"Hoo!"

Xiao Tian stopped his punch and looked toward Luo Yunkai under the eaves with adoration. "Father, how was my practice?"

He was waiting for praise.

Luo Yunkai smiled and clapped his hands. "Good!"

Xiao Tian was full of energy, wishing he could show Luo Yunkai another round of punches.

Luo Yunkai called out gently, "Tian'er, no rush. Follow your father to attend an auction. Afterward, you will be able to Cultivate."

Heaven And Earth Treasure, Luo Yunkai believed the Qingyun Sect would not lack them. An internal auction should be able to produce one or two items for sale to maintain prestige.

Xiao Tian clenched the hands hanging at his sides into fists. "Father, can I really Cultivate?"

Luo Yunkai stroked his beard and smiled gently. "Of course!"

Xiao Tian's breathing hitched, and the excitement in his eyes was impossible to conceal.

Luo Yunkai took Xiao Tian out. As the barrier of the Immortal Cave opened, he keenly sensed the little mouse hiding in the shadows.

He didn't even glance over and walked straight ahead.

The little mouse trailed behind, thinking its tracking was quite clever.

Seeing that Luo Yunkai was about to take Xiao Tian out of the Market, the little mouse quickly notified its master behind it.

Just as it finished notifying, Luo Yunkai made a turn, taking Xiao Tian into the Cloud Carriage Service.

The little mouse froze and hurriedly sent another message to Second Young Master Bai.

"Shao, have you been busy lately?"

The young man in white sitting in front of Bai Shao put down his teacup and asked in an indifferent tone.

Although the tone was very calm, Bai Shao still shivered and honestly put down the communication talisman, not daring to breathe loudly.

"N-not busy."

Bai Ji slowly picked up the teapot and refilled his own cup, smiling faintly. "Then you've found new friends?"

Bai Shao swallowed hard and forced a smile uglier than crying. "Y-yes, new friends."

Bai Ji looked at his second brother, who acted like a cat seeing a mouse whenever he appeared, and let out an almost imperceptible sigh. "Then go play with your new friends."

Bai Shao jumped up as if his backside were on fire. "Thank you, Big Brother!"

After saying that, he turned and ran.

Before he could run out the door, his Big Brother's voice drifted from behind, "Play with your new friends, but don't let people know you're bullying them with your status. Otherwise, you won't have any new friends to play with in the future. Do you understand?"

Bai Shao nodded vaguely, completely confused, and hurried out.

Bai Ji shook his head. After the person ran far away, he said softly, "Keep an eye on him. Don't let him get bored."

"Yes!"

A gust of wind passed, leaving no trace.

The Cloud Carriage Service in the Yunyin Market.

Luo Yunkai looked up at the two tall, thin middle-aged men entering the door of the Cloud Carriage Service.

Both men had the most ordinary, easily overlooked appearances; their faces were so unremarkable that one wouldn't remember them unless they deliberately tried.

However, the aura emanating from the two was very powerful—Qi Refining Great Perfection!

Luo Yunkai's eyes swept over them, but he didn't linger, continuing to listen to the Cloud Carriage Service attendant introduce their means of transportation.

"Senior, there are still seats left on the flying boat going to the Qingyun Sect, and the price is fair. Plus, there are guards to ensure safety. It is absolutely the best choice!"

Luo Yunkai raised an eyebrow. "Guards? Don't tell me you hired the Market Guards from the Yunyin Market? Then I'll have to look around some more."

Seeing this, the attendant quickly said, "Senior, I know what you are worried about, but that is completely unnecessary!"

"Although we did hire the Market Guards as escorts, we paid them one-tenth of the flying boat's ticket price as remuneration."

"This is no small sum. To make these guards disregard their principles, one would have to pay double the Spirit Stones. Who can afford that? So, our flying boat is definitely safe!"

Luo Yunkai relaxed. The guards on this flying boat were the Yunyin Market Guards. Given those guards' usual behavior, he would be the safest there!

He didn't believe anyone on the flying boat could have more Spirit Stones than him!

"I'll take a private room."

The attendant's eyes lit up—a big customer!

But...

"Senior, as you know, all the Cultivators going to the Qingyun Sect these past two days are heading for the auction. These are all people who don't lack Spirit Stones. The private room tickets are already sold out. How about a four-person seat? I can arrange compatible Cultivators for you."

Luo Yunkai shook his head. Even the greedy guards might not necessarily look out for those in a four-person compartment.

It was more likely they would wait until he was dead, search his Storage Pouch, then go back to the person who sold the ticket to demand Spirit Stones, or kill him if he didn't pay enough, just to cover their tracks.

"No, I want a private room. I can pay double the price. Go ask if anyone is willing to sell the ticket to me."

Luo Yunkai casually tossed ten Spirit Stones to the attendant.

The attendant's eyes immediately shone.

He quickly pocketed the Spirit Stones, and this time his words carried much more respect, flattery, and caution.

"Senior, a private room ticket is five thousand Spirit Stones. Double that is ten thousand Spirit Stones. Are you sure?"

Luo Yunkai nodded casually. "Sure."

The attendant immediately stood up. "Senior, please wait a moment. I will go ask around for you right now."

His attitude became more than twice as respectful.

Luo Yunkai initially thought this inquiry would take some effort, but unexpectedly, the result came faster than he imagined.

In less than the time it takes an incense stick to burn, the attendant returned with someone.

It was an acquaintance!

Yao Banmeng did not expect to meet Luo Yunkai and his son here again.

"Senior, this is Yao Banmeng, an Outer Sect Disciple of the Qingyun Sect. She is willing to sell the private room ticket to the Senior."

"It's you!" Xiao Tian still remembered Yao Banmeng, and his expression turned very ugly.

The attendant looked puzzled. "Do you all know each other? Then about this private room ticket?"

Yao Banmeng felt extremely embarrassed.

She quickly said, "I didn't expect it to be you, Fellow Daoist. Forget selling it—if Fellow Daoist doesn't mind, how about we share a private room?"

Luo Yunkai chuckled and agreed before Xiao Tian could refuse. "That works!"

Xiao Tian would not defy his father, so he could only keep quiet.

Yao Banmeng quickly composed herself. Although the one hundred thousand Spirit Stones felt hot in her hands, she absolutely would not return them!

"Fellow Daoist, and this Young Master, please!"

Luo Yunkai nodded and beckoned Xiao Tian to walk with Yao Banmeng.

Yao Banmeng led the way, taking half a step ahead. Seeing Xiao Tian still wearing a sullen face and clearly not welcoming her, she chuckled.

"Young Master, I consider myself not bad looking. Why do you frown the moment you see me?"

Xiao Tian had never experienced such teasing. His face flushed crimson, and his eyes looked like they were about to spit fire. "You... you're asking the obvious!"

Yao Banmeng covered her mouth and lightly laughed. Her high chest rose and fell beneath her red dress, undulating magnificently.

"Oh my, asking the obvious? Could it be... love turning to hate? This humble girl is truly guilty, guilty!"

Smoke seemed about to rise from Xiao Tian's forehead. In the mortal world, he had never seen a woman so bold as to openly tease a man.

"You... shameless!"
