130: Chapter 130 You're a rare sight indeed.

The middle-aged woman, Li Qingqing, and the little boy were completely stunned; they didn't understand why Brother Chen Mo had suddenly attacked their father.

And... that father who was always smiling and laughing was actually a martial artist?

"Are you too deep into your act?"

Chen Mo let out a cold snort and applied a bit more force with his hand.

A crisp sound of breaking bones rang out, yet Li Hao didn't make even the slightest sound.

"No, no..."

"Don't kill me in front of the children, I beg you..."

Li Hao's eyes were filled with pleading; it seemed he was truly too deep into his act and couldn't get out?

"Why did you suddenly attack?"

Lin Ye deactivated the surrounding Spatial Anchoring, and the floor tiles that Chen Mo had crushed with a stomp clattered onto the ground.

"You, you aren't Ah Hao's friends!?"

The middle-aged woman tried to get up, but her legs were as limp as noodles, making it impossible for her to stand.

"Sorry for deceiving you."

"Your husband is an infiltrator from the Abyssal Race. I am Zhou Qingtian from the Anti-Abyss Department, and I have come under orders to apprehend him."

Zhou Qingtian displayed his work ID; his attitude toward ordinary citizens was clearly much better.

"Please cooperate with our work..."

A small figure scrambled and crawled as he rushed downstairs; Zhou Qingtian couldn't even stop him in time.

"Let go of my dad!"

The little boy grabbed Chen Mo's arm, trying to get him to release Li Hao's head.

"Aren't you a big hero?"

"Why are you hitting my dad!"

The little boy's eyes turned crimson, and his small hands erupted with immense power.

But he was just a child; no matter how much power he unleashed, he couldn't budge Chen Mo's palm.

"Half-breed..."

Zhou Qingtian's expression turned cold again as he walked over to the little boy, intending to pin him to the ground.

"Hmm?"

Zhou Qingtian looked at Chen Mo, who had grabbed his wrist, his face full of confusion.

"Isn't capturing Li Hao enough?"

"This child is also a victim."

Chen Mo looked at the little boy, as if he saw the final fate of Xueni after losing the protection of the principal and himself.

"Indeed, most of his bloodline is human; he counts as a compatriot."

Zhou Qingtian still cared about Chen Mo's opinion, so he took the opportunity to back down.

"Li Hao, do you still not intend to confess?"

"According to the laws of the Great Xia, Abyssal infiltrators are to be executed on the spot upon capture."

"No! Don't!"

Li Hao, who had been motionless, began to struggle again, while the little boy cried and tried to pry open the fingers Chen Mo used to hold Li Hao's head.

"But there is one exception: prove your own value."

"If your value is high enough, I will try to spare your life, but you will still have to spend the rest of your days in the Deepwater Prison of the Great Xia."

"The only difference between that and death is that your wife and daughter can occasionally visit you. Make your choice."

Zhou Qingtian squatted down, staring intently at Li Hao's pupils, which were clearly different from those of a human.

"I, I..."

"I still have value, don't kill me, I still want to watch over them."

Li Hao's voice was almost pleading; his mental defenses were completely shattered, and he had become a puppet at the mercy of others.

"Very well, let's go."

Zhou Qingtian nodded and took out the Grade 4 heavy alloy shackles designed for martial artists to restrain Li Hao.

Li Hao crouched down and gently stroked the little boy's head with his bound hands.

"Baby, Daddy has some things to take care of with these uncles, I'll be back in a while."

"When I'm not here, I'm counting on you to protect your sister and mother. You must be a good boy."

The little boy stared blankly at Li Hao as he walked further and further away, standing there in a daze, at a loss.

Soon, personnel from the Martial Education Bureau arrived to take over the scene and began handling the aftermath and comforting the family.

Inside the temporary base of the Anti-Abyss Department, Li Hao sat on an iron chair, with Zhou Qingtian and Chen Mo opposite him.

"I have fulfilled your request and did not kill you in front of your family."

"However, it is laughable; you, an infiltrator from the Abyssal Race, have actually developed feelings for us humans. It is truly rare."

Zhou Qingtian had been doing anti-abyss work for over a decade, and this was the first time he had encountered such a situation.

Though he had heard of some cases, they were extremely rare.

Li Hao didn't speak, merely waiting for Zhou Qingtian's next question.

"Tell me, what kind of value can you provide us?"

"Can this value be high enough for us to spare your life, or even high enough for us to conduct socialization tests on you? Perhaps you might even be able to return to your family in the end?"
