16: Chapter 16: Smash and Kill!
The few people fleeing for their lives only felt a dark shadow streak past them, and a loud boom came from behind.
Boom!
Chen Mo was sent flying, flipped twice in the air, and landed perfectly.
In contrast, the Abyssal Armored Dragon, known for its hardness, had a dent in its forehead, and the whole beast sat directly on the ground.
"That hurts a bit..."
Chen Mo rubbed his forehead. The speed of his Compressed Dash was simply too fast; before he could even throw a punch, his head had already collided with the Abyssal Armored Dragon's forehead.
Fortunately, his bones and skin were tough enough; otherwise, given the force of that impact, an ordinary First-Grade Martial Artist would have already been turned into meat paste.
"He's crazy, he's absolutely crazy!"
Principal Liu Zhifeng roared frantically. It was the first time he realized that this kid Chen Mo was actually this crazy!
That was an Abyssal Armored Dragon!
Even though it was only a Rank 2 Abyss Beast, the combat power of an Abyssal Armored Dragon already surpassed that of a Rank 3 Abyss Beast.
A Rank 3 Martial Artist would have to think carefully when facing an Abyssal Armored Dragon, yet this kid just charged head-on without saying a word.
The Abyssal Armored Dragon shook its head in pain, its tail sweeping wildly behind it.
The hammer-shaped tumor at the base of its tail swung incessantly, making the surrounding ground rumble.
"Don't go head-to-head with the Abyssal Armored Dragon! This thing weighs at least twenty tons!"
"Its outer bone plates are as hard as tank armor. Only by attacking the abdomen can you inflict effective damage!"
Principal Liu Zhifeng's words reminded Chen Mo that he was indeed at a disadvantage in a direct head-on collision.
But...
Chen Mo spread his arms and stomped his feet hard!
"Roar!"
The Abyssal Armored Dragon let out a deafening roar, and all four of its claws began to move simultaneously.
A giant weighing five hundred kilograms and a behemoth weighing over twenty tons collided head-on!
Man and beast slammed into each other!
The moment their powers clashed, ripples spread across the surrounding ground!
The earth was squeezed by the immense force and sprayed outwards; the ground churned, and gravel flew everywhere!
Both sides had their muscles tense, and the ground beneath their feet began to crack and sink continuously.
Every time the Abyssal Armored Dragon exerted force, a crack appeared in the ground, and every time Chen Mo exerted force, a huge crater appeared beneath his feet!
"Wang Jun! Go help!"
Principal Liu Zhifeng pulled his Water-Fire Coiling Dragon Staff from his back, jabbed it hard into the ground, and vaulted into the air!
The staff head, connected by a chain, smashed down hard, but it couldn't shake the Abyssal Armored Dragon's bone plates, which were comparable to tank armor!
"Understood!"
Wang Jun didn't waste any words. His blade ignited with raging flames, and he slid under Chen Mo's crotch, his sharp, searing hot blade leaving a deep wound on the Abyssal Armored Dragon's abdomen!
However, while the strike looked intimidating, it failed to cut through the Abyssal Armored Dragon's soft abdomen; the blade only sliced through the outer layer of skin.
"It's no use! The Abyssal Armored Dragon is too hard; we can't break through!"
Principal Liu Zhifeng grew anxious at the sight.
As a veteran of many battles, he knew well when to continue fighting and when to retreat immediately.
Those last two hits had already hurt the Abyssal Armored Dragon; if they were lucky, this beast should be preparing to flee soon.
But estimates are often just estimates.
The Abyssal Armored Dragon's already wide eyes turned blood-red, and white steam shot out from its nostrils, actually pulling Chen Mo right out of the ground!
"Chen Mo!"
Principal Liu Zhifeng wanted to step forward to help, but saw Chen Mo flip himself onto the Abyssal Armored Dragon's neck.
"So my blade can't cut through your armor, huh?"
"I don't believe your internal organs are just as hard!"
After saying this, Chen Mo's sturdy arms tightened into lean, powerful lines, and he compressed his strength further inward; near-violent power gathered at his fist.
Boom!
He punched down. The Abyssal Armored Dragon's body shuddered, and after letting out a miserable howl, it became unsteady.
Boom! Boom!
Boom-boom-boom-boom-boom!
Successive Compression Punches slammed into the Abyssal Armored Dragon's head bone plate, the violent force causing spiderweb-like cracks to appear on the surrounding ground!
Sand swirled everywhere, shrouding the figures of Chen Mo and the Abyssal Armored Dragon.
Everyone was blown back by the terrifying shockwaves, unable to step forward, and could only cover their faces with one hand, trying to see what was happening inside.
Soon, the drum-like thumping stopped.
Before the yellow sand had cleared, a figure was seen walking towards them with slow, heavy steps.
"Chen Mo! Is that you?"
Principal Liu Zhifeng was going crazy with worry. If anything happened to Chen Mo under his watch, he would have to atone with his own life on the spot.
"It's me! This thing is hard on the outside but soft on the inside; it's not that hard to deal with."
As the dust settled, Chen Mo was seen dragging the Abyssal Armored Dragon—whose eyes had been knocked out—towards them with one hand.
"This thing is really heavy. If I hadn't been training diligently lately, I might not have been able to drag it."
With his current strength, Chen Mo could easily handle weights under thirteen tons; dragging something around twenty tons wasn't all that difficult.
"Principal Liu, do you think selling this Abyssal Armored Dragon will be enough for my grandfather's surgery and hospital fees?"
Chen Mo patted the dead Abyssal Armored Dragon and flashed a sunny smile at Principal Liu Zhifeng.
Principal Liu Zhifeng: "..."
The martial artists who had been fleeing in panic but wanted to go back and help after seeing Chen Mo charge in: "...?"
Wang Jun: "..."
Su Qingyue and her group, who were hiding in the distance and happened to witness Chen Mo bludgeoning an Abyssal Armored Dragon to death: "..."
"Forget surgery fees; it's more than enough to renovate the entire Orphanage."
Principal Liu Zhifeng swallowed hard. He had previously estimated how powerful Chen Mo's combat ability was.
But to be so powerful as to bludgeon an Abyssal Armored Dragon to death with his bare hands...
He dared not even imagine it.
Su Qingyue and her group in the distance were equally shocked.
They had just been planning to go up and help save people, but who could have thought that the Rank 2 Abyssal Armored Dragon would be beaten to death by Chen Mo just like that.
And other than a slight indentation on its head, there were almost no injuries anywhere else on its body.
"It must be that its brain matter was beaten into mush by the heavy punches..."
Teacher Wu narrowed his eyes. For heavily armored targets, blunt strikes were the best option.
"Hiss!"
Zhuo Jida gasped. Was this really something a First-Grade Martial Artist could do?
If such a punch were to land on him...
Wouldn't he turn into a brilliant firework on the spot?
