146: Chapter 146 Global Carnival
Five minutes later.
In Eagle, Washington, a high-end apartment.
Military blogger Mark just crawled out of bed and habitually opened Twitter.
Then he froze.
His entire homepage was filled with the exact same topic.
#Eagle Mecha#
Trending Score: Off the charts.
"What the fuck?"
He clicked on the first tweet—it was a photo taken by Bill on the aircraft carrier.
The 44-meter-tall silver-gray mecha, carrying twin-barreled cannons on its back and covered in missiles on its shoulders, stood right on the deck of the uss ronald reagan.

Mark rubbed his eyes.
He looked again.
It was still real.
"Oh my God..."
He immediately jumped out of bed, opened his computer, and began frantically searching for related information.
On Twitter, there were already thousands of similar photos and videos.
Different angles, different lighting, but all of the same thing—that silver-gray giant mecha.
On Facebook, discussion volume for the #EagleMecha# topic had already surpassed 50 million.
On YouTube, the view count for the most-watched related video had already reached 8 million.
And all of this had only taken 5 minutes.
Mark stared at the video of the mecha, his fingers resting on the mouse for a long time.
As a veteran military blogger of ten years, he had seen too much fake news.
Aliens, time machines, anti-gravity flying saucers...
Click inside and they were either Photoshopped or movie props.
But this time...
He zoomed in on the photo and carefully looked at the deck beneath the mecha's feet.
There were indentation marks.
The 80-ton weight pressing down on the deck caused the steel plates to sink slightly.
Looking closer at the mecha's joints, the hydraulic tubing interfaces, the armor plating rivets, and even the rifling on the inner walls of the back cannons...
Nobody would spend the effort to Photoshop details like these.
Mark opened the comment section again.
Hundreds of photos and dozens of videos, all taken by soldiers on the aircraft carrier.
Different angles, different lighting, and some were even moving.
He took a deep breath.
"Fucking hell..."
His voice was trembling:
"This fucking thing is real... Eagle actually built it..."
He immediately opened his live-streaming software.
"Everyone! Emergency live stream! Our Eagle secret weapon has been exposed!"
Three seconds.
3,000 people poured in.
Ten seconds.
30,000 people.
Thirty seconds.
300,000 people.
One minute later, the viewer count in the live stream broke 1 million.
The server began to lag.
Mark couldn't care less about that; he opened the photo, his voice shaking:
"Everyone! This is not a drill! This is not a movie! This is actually happening!"
"Just moments ago, our country's secret weapon was exposed at Yokosuka Port!"
He zoomed in on the photo, pointing at every detail of the mecha:
"Look! This height is visually estimated to be at least 40 meters! The twin-barreled cannons on the back, the missile launch System on the shoulders, and the close-combat weapons at the waist!"
"This fucking thing is not a sci-fi movie! This is reality!"
The bullet comments had gone completely crazy:
"Holy shit, holy shit, holy shit!"
"USA! USA! USA!"
"Don't get too excited, streamer! I'm even more excited than you!"
"I knew it! I knew our Eagle definitely had a secret weapon!"
"Where are the people who blabber on about the 'Eastern Rise' every day? Come out and take a look, this is what you call technology!"
"Hilarity, those pieces of junk from Daxia are absolute lightweights compared to this!"
Mark took a deep breath and continued:
"I've been a military blogger for 10 years and have seen countless pieces of black technology. But today... today I am truly shocked."
"This mecha represents far more than just a weapon. It represents a comprehensive Breakthrough in Materials science, energy science, artificial intelligence, and mechanical engineering!"
"The only country capable of building something like this is—"
He paused for a moment, raising his voice:
"Eagle! Number one in the world! Number one forever!"
The bullet comments were instantly flooded with "USA".
The viewer count in the live room broke 2 million.
Meanwhile.
New York, Times Square.
On the giant LED screen, photos of the mecha were being broadcast.
"Breaking News! Eagle Secret Weapon Exposed!"
Passing pedestrians stopped in their tracks, looking up to watch.
"Oh my God!"
"Is this real?"
"Of course it's real! Twitter has completely blown up!"
A young man jumped up in excitement:
"I told you so! We are the strongest! Those people who doubted us can shut up now!"
Cheers erupted from the crowd.
Someone started shouting loudly:
"USA! USA! USA!"
More and more people joined in.
The entire Times Square turned into a sea of cheers.
A young Black man held up his phone for a selfie, incoherent with excitement:
"Yo! Yo! Everyone! See that? This is the power of our Eagle! Daxia, Polar Bear—they're all utter trash in front of us!"
An elderly white woman beside him also held up her phone:
"My son serves in the navy, and I'm proud of him! I'm proud of my country!"
Cheers, whistles, and screams blended together into one.
All of New York, all of Eagle, was immersed in a carnival.
Los Angeles, Hollywood.
A famous director was shooting a movie on set.
The assistant rushed over and handed him a phone:
"Director! Look at this!"
The director took the phone, glanced at it, and froze completely.
"This... what movie's special effects are these?"
"It's not special effects!" the assistant said excitedly, "It's real! Eagle's secret weapon! Right at Yokosuka Port!"
The director stared at the photo for a long time.
Then he slowly shook his head:
"I've directed sci-fi films for 30 years, and my special effects teams have spent hundreds of millions of dollars, yet none could produce a mecha this realistic..."
He raised his head, tears glistening in his eyes:
"Now, reality is more sci-fi than the movies."
He turned around and shouted to the entire crew:
"Everyone! Stop filming! We need to rewrite the script!"
"Iron Man, Pacific Rim—they're all outdated! Reality has already surpassed science fiction!"
Warm applause erupted in the crew.
Half an hour later.
On Twitter, discussion volume for the #EagleMecha# topic broke 300 million.
On Facebook, reposts of related posts broke 10 million.
On YouTube, view counts for related videos broke 500 million.
The entire Western world plunged into a carnival.
But soon, the carnival turned into mockery.
An Eagle internet celebrity with 20 million followers took the lead in tweeting:
"I heard a certain Eastern giant power has been very proud lately? Space stations, quantum communications, high-speed rail?"
"Hehe."
"Look at our mecha, what are yours compared to that? You can't even compare to a single toe, right?"
"@Daxia official media, come out and walk a few steps?"

The comment section completely exploded:
"Hilarity, those so-called 'high-tech' things from Daxia are just toys in front of our mecha."
"Still boasting about 'Made in Daxia'? They can't even build a robot, yet they have the nerve to call themselves a manufacturing superpower?"
"It's recommended that Daxia surrender quickly to save themselves from being crushed later."
"Daxia: We have 1.4 billion people! Eagle: We have one mecha. Game over."
"What 'Eastern Rise'? So funny it'll make your teeth fall out. Technological gaps cannot be made up for by having more people."
A political commentator went even further, directly posting a video:
"Ladies and gentlemen, today is a day worth remembering."
He stood in front of The White House, with the fluttering Stars and Stripes behind him:
"Because we have once again proven to the entire world who the true Dominator of this planet is."
The camera cut to a photo of the mecha:
"Look at this, this is technology, this is strength, this is the future."
"Countries that shout all day long about 'great rejuvenation' and the 'Daxia Dream', wake up. The gap between you and us is not a few years, nor decades, but an entire era."
His expression turned solemn:
"Especially Daxia. Do your wolf warrior diplomats still have the face to challenge us at the United Nations? Do you still have the face to talk about 'equal dialogue'?"
"Now, kneel down and admit that we are the boss. Perhaps we'll consider tossing you some technological crumbs."
Video views: 50 million
Comments:
"Well said! Daxia should just honestly be the little brother!"
"What equality? Big fists are the hard truth!"
"It's recommended to drive the mecha straight over to Daxia for a spin, let them know what awe means."
Waves of mockery came one after another.
And what was even more sickening were those bootlicking countries.
