190: Chapter 190: Dead again?!

Because the Mutated White Wild Boar's speed had increased and it was relentlessly chasing Hu Gualing while constantly changing positions, Tang Yao, who was standing still to output damage while in the 'Sword Heart Enlightenment' state, found it somewhat difficult to keep up.

After activating the 'Sword Heart' skill, her swordsmanship looked decent enough, but she hadn't specifically trained her footwork or Movement Technique, nor did she have any corresponding buff skills. Wearing cloud-patterned cloth boots, it was very difficult for her to keep up with the Mutated White Wild Boar's constant movement. Once, when she swung her sword to stab the Mutated White Wild Boar, she was struck by the beast, which was in a berserk state and indiscriminately attacking its surroundings by swinging its two pig hands. Not only did her health bar immediately drop by about a third, but she was also knocked flying, forced out of the 'Sword Heart Enlightenment' state.

After Tang Yao fell to the ground and regained her footing, she watched the Mutated White Wild Boar's two pig hands spinning around like a giant windmill. Unable to find a single gap to attack, she stood there holding her sword, not knowing what to do.

Hu Gualing, who was in the middle of this windmill, was not having an easy time either. Although he had the Lazy Donkey Roll skill to rely on, which often allowed him to dodge the Mutated White Wild Boar's berserk attacks by squeezing through gaps, the physical burden on his body increased with each use. Dodging became increasingly difficult. Finally, when he saw Tang Yao get knocked flying by the Mutated White Wild Boar, he panicked for a moment, lost his composure, and was struck by the pig hand the Mutated White Wild Boar was swinging.

The thirty-plus points of damage from a single attack by the Mutated White Wild Boar wasn't particularly severe, but after being hit, Hu Gualing immediately lost his balance. He was like a small boat hit by a wave in a raging sea; a momentary pause would mean being submerged by the overwhelming tide. This was exactly the situation Hu Gualing was facing. Having lost his balance, he was unable to dodge or parry the Mutated White Wild Boar's storm-like, berserk attacks. His health bar depleted piece by piece until it was quickly emptied. As his body fell, the Mutated White Wild Boar paused for a moment, but its two aimlessly swinging pig hands did not stop. After seeming to deliberate for a second or two, it continued swinging its two hands like a moving windmill and headed toward Tang Yao.

Seeing the Mutated White Wild Boar leave, Hu Gualing quickly confirmed his Resurrection.

His balance of 9 fantasy points was now down to only 7!

Suppressing his heartache, Hu Gualing took advantage of having just resurrected, with his body in its Peak state, and without wasting a second, used Lazy Donkey Roll to slide under the Mutated White Wild Boar and attack its weak point. After landing two punches, Hu Gualing's fists were inevitably stained with the dark green liquid again. However, to him now, getting hit once by the Mutated White Wild Boar meant likely being comboed to death by its subsequent berserk attacks, so the minor, continuous blood loss from poisoning wasn't worth worrying about.

With these two punches landing, the Mutated White Wild Boar's health dropped by nearly fifty points, leaving it with just over a hundred, which was even less than Hu Gualing's current health. Yet, Hu Gualing dared not be careless. Almost as soon as his fists struck and he saw the damage numbers pop up from the Mutated White Wild Boar, he retreated, forcibly using Lazy Donkey Roll to withdraw from the Mutated White Wild Boar's attack range. Otherwise, staying even a moment longer could cost him the life he had just resurrected.

After enduring Hu Gualing's attack, the Mutated White Wild Boar paused again, turned its body, abandoned Tang Yao, and turned to attack Hu Gualing. After forcibly using Lazy Donkey Roll continuously, Hu Gualing's physical state was not very good, and he dared not go up to engage in close-quarters combat with the Mutated White Wild Boar again. Moreover, in the short time spent trying to defeat this Mutated White Wild Boar, he had already resurrected three times. Each Resurrection required consuming two fantasy points to buy a revival coin. After three times, the 13 fantasy points he had saved to repay his debt to the System were down to only 7. If he continued to die and ran out of fantasy points, unable to resurrect, it wouldn't just mean failing to defeat this Mutated White Wild Boar; the most critical issue was that in two days, the game System would automatically deduct 15 fantasy points. The agreement stated that if there were insufficient game points to deduct, it would result in immediate account deletion!

Although Tang Yao seemed quite wealthy, and if he asked to borrow some fantasy points from her, she would likely agree, the current problem was that he had previously only borrowed silver from Tang Yao, which was the game's universal currency. No one knew if fantasy points, being a special currency, could even be traded. If they couldn't be traded, wouldn't that mean he could only wait to be deleted?

This was something Hu Gualing absolutely could not accept, so now, facing the Mutated White Wild Boar approaching him while constantly swinging its pig hands, he felt a bit afraid and blindly retreated.

When he retreated to a certain distance, the Mutated White Wild Boar actually stopped chasing him, as if Hu Gualing had exceeded its aggro range. It paused for a moment, changed targets again, and continued toward Xiao Niao and Tang Yao like a spinning giant windmill, huffing and puffing.

Seeing that the team's top warrior, Hu Gualing, had been forced into a steady retreat by the Mutated White Wild Boar, Xiao Niao felt his legs go weak when he saw the beast coming toward him, and he began to contemplate retreating. He involuntarily turned his head to look back, observing the route of retreat. This look made him notice the earthen wall in the distance. Earlier, Tang Yao's pet Sharp-toothed Piglet had dragged its rope and hidden behind that earthen wall. If he also hid there, the Mutated White Wild Boar wouldn't notice him, right?

Just as he was thinking this, Xiao Niao suddenly saw a small head poke out from behind the earthen wall. It was the head of the Sharp-toothed Piglet, and its expression seemed a bit worried and nervous. Xiao Niao mistakenly thought the Sharp-toothed Piglet was worried about Tang Yao and wanted to come over to help, but the next second, the little pig head quickly retracted. 'Looks like I overthought it; this piglet is also a coward who fears death,' Xiao Niao thought with disdain upon seeing this.

However, the next second, something seemed to occur to him.

Piglet? Pig? Xiao Niao paused, looked at the Mutated White Wild Boar, and narrowed his eyes, which were filled with wisdom.

"Tang Yao, take out the bucket you use to hold the pig feed and throw it at the BOSS!" Xiao Niao shouted.

Pig feed?

After being knocked flying by the Mutated White Wild Boar, Tang Yao stood in the distance holding her longsword, watching the windmill-like Mutated White Wild Boar, not knowing what to do. Hearing Xiao Niao's shout, she was slightly stunned. 'What use could this thing have?' Tang Yao didn't quite understand, but she still took the wooden bucket out of her backpack.

As soon as the wooden bucket was brought out, a peculiar, fragrant scent wafted from it. Xiao Niao sniffed with his nose, and his stomach let out an uncooperative "growl." Fortunately, no one was paying attention to such small details right now.

With his keen observation skills, Xiao Niao noticed that as soon as the wooden bucket containing Tang Yao's special pig feed was brought out, the Mutated White Wild Boar's movements stiffened. It lowered its head to look at the bucket in Tang Yao's hand, and for the first time, its face showed a human-like expression—after a second or two of confusion, it revealed a look of greed. Seeing this scene, Xiao Niao couldn't help but feel happy.
