Chapter 200: Ancient Nuclear Warfare

"Hello, Host Jiang, I am a worker in the fields of archaeology and geology. I am fifty-three years old this year."

The speaker's voice was full of vigor, clearly someone at the level of an archaeology Professor.

Jiang Zhe nodded gently. "Hello to you too. May I ask what your question is?"

"It's like this: I have been in the archaeology and geology industry for many years. One question I am frequently asked is: [As people who study archaeology and geology, are we humans the only human civilization to have ever existed on Earth?]"

"Hmm?"

Upon hearing this, Jiang Zhe's expression turned slightly peculiar. "For a professional like you, such a question must be difficult to explain, right? After all, from a professional perspective, there is no such thing as a prehistoric civilization. To anyone in the industry, claiming prehistoric human civilizations existed would seem like utter foolishness. However, I am curious—how do you usually answer?"

The Professor gave a sheepish smile and explained, "I answer them with professional knowledge. Humanity is currently the only human civilization. There were no prehistoric high-tech civilizations. After the movement of Earth's tectonic plates, there have only been instances of continents sinking into the sea—ancient continents that disappeared beneath the waves."

"There are no traces or signs of any prehistoric civilizations."

"There was no Gendaya Civilization, no Atlantis civilization, and certainly no god-level Maya Civilization. The Mayans couldn't even figure out their own civilization, so what's all this about prophecies? It's practically ridiculous!"

"Teacher Jiang, that is my answer."

"But the question I want to ask is: if these civilizations truly didn't exist, why do some ancient texts describe war scenes that are identical to nuclear warfare?"

"This has left me utterly perplexed!"

"Were those ancient texts intentionally added to by later generations, or did alien civilizations really conduct experiments on Earth in the past?"

"Did ancient nuclear wars truly exist?"

As the series of questions fell, they almost instantly captivated the entire audience in the livestream room.

"Holy crap, I didn't expect someone to ask that."

"My god, the classic of mountains and seas and some foreign works all have descriptions of the specifics of nuclear explosions; I remember an Indian ancient text that was incredibly detailed!"

"Seriously, did alien civilizations descend to Earth in the past, or was the era of mythology actually a high-tech era?"

"..."

Meanwhile, inside the dormitory building of Tsinghua University.

Zhou Qingqing's eyes suddenly lit up. "I remember that book was called 'Maha-' something. Finally, someone asked the question I've been wanting to ask."

Her elder sister, Zhou Qing, also looked solemn. "That book indeed records scenes of ancient nuclear war. Even the signs of death at the disaster site are exactly the same as in a nuclear war. What exactly is going on?"

Professor Zhuang stared at his phone screen, lost in thought.

He originally didn't believe in any prehistoric civilizations on Earth, but following Jiang Zhe's narrative—

Alien civilizations had indeed appeared on Earth long ago, even treating Earth as a tourist destination; this was a witnessed fact.

But was human civilization truly appearing on Earth for the first time?

He even remembered a quote by the father of the atomic bomb, J. Robert Oppenheimer, at a university: [Humanity's nuclear tests in modern times are indeed the first].

"Even a Professor of geology is asking this question. Could there really be such a thing?"

"Could it be that the ancient exotic beasts recorded in the classic of mountains and seas were actually real events in history?"

For a moment, Professor Zhuang had many thoughts, leaving him completely baffled.

Just then, Jiang Zhe wore a smile and gave his answer.

"The following answer is based on my subjective perception and does not represent factual truth. After all, I cannot provide evidence for facts I haven't seen myself."

"Everyone can just treat it as a hypothesis."

Hearing this, the audience was already used to it.

Sometimes Jiang Zhe would put on his 'armor' before an analysis to prevent people from maliciously attacking him later.

"Beautifully defended!"

"Haha, after all, a bunch of people are eyeing him like hawks!"

"..."

"I'm all ears!" the Professor said.

Jiang Zhe pondered before giving his analysis: "Well, as for whether human civilization is the first; you are a professional expert, and professional data proves that there is indeed only human civilization on Earth."

"Your expertise can also instantly dismantle those products of the mythological era. They are either rumors... but if a legend is told enough times, even the fakest thing can be passed off as truth."

"But today, I won't start from these professional angles, but from the perspective of decryption."

"Let's start with the [ancient nuclear war] you mentioned."

"Speaking of this, I have to mention something some people know: Ancient India's [Dead Hill Event], which is the ruins of the ancient city of Mohenjo-daro, located in the Larkana District of Sindh Province in present-day Pakistan."

"In the local dialect, Mohenjo-daro means [Mound of the Dead]."

Hearing this, Zhou Qingqing's eyes immediately lit up. "Yes, yes, yes! The book I mentioned seems to be about this place."

"First, let's talk about how the [Mound of the Dead] was discovered and how it subsequently became a subject of intense international debate."

"Actually, no one discussed this ruin before 1922. It wasn't until 1922 that Indian archaeologist R. D. Banerji and others unexpectedly unearthed a massive ancient city while surveying a Buddhist stupa."

At this point in the narration, the backstage director tacitly provided a picture.

On the background screen, an ancient city of sand dunes appeared in a plain landscape. It was a small city, seemingly covered in yellow sand, but one could see the outlines of the city, steps, and roads.

"As you can see, this is that small city."

The audience leaned in to take a closer look. There was nothing special about it; it was far inferior to the small cities in remote areas of ancient Xia."

"Just this place?"

"This place looks very backward, far inferior to the architectural scale of our country's ancient times."

"It's a small place, don't expect too much."

"..."

Jiang Zhe continued to explain without hesitation:

"Later, according to carbon-14 dating, it existed between 2500 BC and 1500 BC."

"During this same period, ancient Xia was in the era before the xia dynasty, which is what we call the era of ancient mythology: the period of the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors."

"Its history is slightly later than ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia. The eras these two civilizations were in were also mythological eras where humans and gods coexisted."

"Later, archaeologists conducted in-depth research here. From the excavated ruins, Mohenjo-daro was very prosperous, covering an area of 8 square kilometers, divided into the Citadel to the west and the Lower City to the east."

"The Citadel was home to religious priests and city leaders. It was surrounded by walls and moats, with many watchtowers on the walls. Inside the Citadel were high towers, courtyards with corridors, pillared halls, and the world-famous Great Bath of Mohenjo-daro."

"The area of this bath reached 1063 square meters, built of fired bricks. The floor and walls were filled with gypsum and then covered with bitumen, so it was watertight."

"Parallel to the bath were individual bathrooms with narrow entrances, and the drainage design was very ingenious!"

Listening to Jiang Zhe's explanation, it seemed this city was not backward at all; instead, it was quite advanced for its time.

This made many people take it more seriously!
