Chapter 215: MUST SHE ALWAYS CALL BROTHER

Aristia looked up when someone took a seat in front of her.Owen glanced at Millie lying lazily on the table before picking up a book and scanning through it while speaking.

"Do you have anything you want to do during the Kingdom’s anniversary?" He asked.

It was the month of September and the kingdom would celebrate its anniversary in a few weeks.

"Hmm...." Aristia put down the book and rubbed her chin. "I don’t think so... no. I’ll stay back home." She would spend the night with her family instead of attending the festival like the previous year.

"Then, what about The Vanilla Courtyard?" Owen asked, also putting down the book and looking at her.

"It’ll be the same as last year’s anniversary. Provide discounts for the commoners." Aristia replied without a second thought. The Aristocrats didn’t need discounts.

"Okay." Owen nodded.

Aristia packed her books and stood up. The sun was setting so she was returning to the mansion.

She looked up at the darkening sky.

Owen followed after her.

Something wet fell on Aristia’s back.

Then light drizzles came down.

Aristia and Owen quickened their pace and entered the mansion just as the rain increased, just narrowly avoiding getting drenched.

[Ah, it’s raining.] Aristia thought.

It rained till the next day, only stopping around the time of Aristia’s history class.

The rain disrupted the training session with Hugh. It wasn’t possible to train in the rain so the training was cancelled.

After her classes, Aristia sat down with Millie and Alaric on her bed. Adeline was also there, but she was sitting on a chair beside the bed, while Owen was lying on the chaise lounge.

The sky had become bright again.

Aristia was lost in thought, just looking at the sky outside the window.

"There’s just a few months left until next year. Less than four months." Adeline said.

Aristia turned to her.

"Mm. I’ll be seven next year." She smiled.

But inside, she was thinking about something else entirely.

[Yeah, four months until the year of the famine and the novel’s official beginning. Ugh! Why’s time moving so fast?]

Adeline nodded eagerly, then sighed. "Ah, yes! Princess will turn seven soon. You’ll be even prettier!" She gushed.

The next few days were filled with rain in the night and morning and a slightly sunny afternoon.

Marchioness Kiran was hosting a tea party in her mansion.

Right now, Aristia and her family were in a room in the Kiran mansion along with the rest of the guests attending the tea party.

Aristia sat together with the children of Catherine’s friends and watched the people around her.

Priscilla Essylt walked towards their table and Paige Kiran’s brows furrowed.

"Your Highness," Priscilla curtsied. "Can I join you?"

Aristia shrugged. She didn’t have any objections. It wasn’t like Priscilla posed any trouble for her.

The children continued the conversation like normal.

Aristia noticed Wade’s expression out of the corner of her eyes.

Wade was standing beside her on her right while Lauren was on the left.

Alicia was standing beside Wade and had a slight glare on her face.

The reason was because she had wanted to stand next to Aristia, but Wade had been quicker, leaving her with no choice but to stand beside him.

She looked back at Wade, wondering why he was frowning.

She followed his gaze and her eyes landed on Charlotte.

Aristia’s own brows furrowed. Were her eyes playing tricks on her now, or did Charlotte look a bit pale? Hadn’t she just seen her about a week ago at Duchess Winston’s tea party?

[Maybe she’s just feeling a bit sick.] Aristia thought.

Yeah, that was it. There was nothing wrong with Charlotte. She was probably just sick. It was normal to be sick sometimes.

With that thought, Aristia turned her gaze away.

"Your Highness," other children came forward at that moment. "Can we join you?" They asked everyone.

Aristia and the others didn’t refuse.

The children joined the group with eager expressions.

Priscilla Essylt was speaking at that moment.

"Brother Liam, you’ll leave for the academy in three month, right?"

[Really, is that the only thing you can talk about?] Aristia rolled her eyes.

Liam had an uninterested expression on his face, but he still nodded. "Yes."

Even though Liam gave a lackluster answer, Priscilla still continued.

"The academy is so exciting. Brother Liam must be very excited. But we have to wait two years." The last sentence sounded slightly disappointed and her lips were turned downwards in a pout.

"Must she always call everyone sister and brother?" Paige Kiran muttered under her breath, rolling her eyes.

Most shared the same view as her, but they didn’t voice it. No matter what, she was still part of pure nobility.

"Anyway, the Kingdom’s anniversary banquet is coming up." A girl changed the topic.

"That’s true. I’ll prepare my best dress."

"And her majesty’s birthday is in a month."

"Yes, yes. Her majesty will hold a banquet then."

Thr children became very excited mentioning these events. Celebrating the birthdays of royalty was a whole different event from the usual events.

They glanced at Aristia, wondering why she hadn’t celebrated her birthday in the usual way.

Instead, they heard that it was celebrated just within the family.

Most of them were very disappointed because the third princess’s birthdays were usually splendid.

But since she decided to not hold a banquet, what could they do but send gifts and well wishes? The children sighed softly.

A few hours later, the banquet ended and the guests had to leave.

The family of the Grand Duke also headed home after bidding farewell to their close friends and acquaintances.

On the carriage home with Catherine and Alaric, Aristia remembered that the kingdom anniversary banquet was close by.

[We’ll soon leave for the palace.] She thought. It was what the family usually did when it was time for the banquet.

They would leave for the palace long before. It would be the same now.

The carriage left the Kiran Mansion, heading for the Grand Duke’s.
