Chapter 4: PERVERT MAID?

Chapter 4 - PERVERT MAID?"Oh, no. The owners of the house are here." She whispered.

[I feel like I'm Goldilocks waking up on the Bear's bed. But with grey hair.]

A knock sounded on the sturdy looking double doors before it was quietly opened.

Aristia stopped joking around and observed alertly as three females entered the room, dressed in matching maid outfits like the one seen in animes. It was black and stopped at the knees with a white apron in the skirt, sleeves and collars. They wore knee length stockings.

The one who looked the youngest, who was also the one leading the others, called gently and carefully,

"Princess? Oh, you're already up." The girl said when she found her standing in front of the mirror. Her dress was quite different from the rest.

Unlike the plain white apron and a straight design for the skirt, hers had frills made of lace and the skirt flayed.

"Good morning, princess." The maids greeted. The youngest maid smiled brightly at Aristia.

Her smile was so contagious that Aristia couldn't help but smile in return while at the same time observing her.

Connecting the novel's description with the young lady before her, Aristia recognized her to be book Aristia's personal maid and nanny, Adeline Towsen, a commoner.

She was seventeen years old, had fair and smooth skin, light blonde hair that stopped at her lower back and dark green eyes. A pretty young lady. She had a bubbly personality and could get along easily with other people.



"Good morning. Good morning Linny." Aristia called her maid by the nickname Aristia called Adeline, while also replying to the other maids' greetings.

To her surprise, Adeline and the other maids following her looked stunned.

She couldn't tell what for; if it was the title or the greeting.

[But that's what Aristia calls her.] She thought, feeling confused. [Did I read wrong?]

Adeline was the first to snap out of whatever caused her surprise and go back to her normal expression.

"Princess, it is time for your bath, you have classes today," she said. "Princess should prepare early as today is your first day of ever attending classes."

[Classes?] She thought, before it dawned on her.

[That's right. Aristia is supposed to be attending classes like embroidery, etiquette, dance, music and history. That much was mentioned. According to the people of this world, it is the knowledge and skills required for the noble girls in this world to be a good noble woman, wife and mother.] She rolled her eyes inwardly.

Then her narcissism started to resurface.

[I already learned those things in my world as an only daughter of a wealthy aristocrat family. Though I learned how to knit and embroider out of boredom. I was good at horse riding, archery, fencing, and martial arts. I wasn't called genius child and multitasker for nothing. I say I was pretty awesome. The novel said that 'Aristia's also a genius' but no one knows that yet. Even so, I should be making me some money instead of sitting and sewing patterns on handkerchiefs all day. That would just be a waste of my brilliant mind.]

She silently sneered. She had the beauty, brains and talent and she had never let it go to waste. She wasn't planning on doing so now either.

[But I have to go to school all over again? Ugh! I don't have a choice about it though since the history here will definitely be different from that of my country back in the real world. I'm not even sure this is Earth. Plus, I'm pretty sure Aristia's parents will not agree with her not receiving the required education for noble children. Well, then, I can just speed up my studies like I did back on Earth.]

Thinking of all this, Aristia let out a sigh, "Alright Linny, I'm coming." The other two maids had already left to prepare the bath.



"What are you doing?!" Aristia asked when Adeline pulled at her clothes. She stared at her with a guarded look that seemed to ask if Adeline was a pervert.

[Or maybe a Pedo. Or both. Too bad, she has such a pretty face. Are Aristia's parents aware of this?] She thought while glaring at Adeline.

"Princess, you have to take off your clothes." Adeline said with confusion written all over her face.

"I can do it myself." She said, wrapping her arms around herself.

[What do you wanna see, huh?!] She thought, forgetting that this was not the first time Aristia would have been bathed by others.

"Princess, I have to get you ready. The Master and Madam will not be pleased with me." Adeline said with a conflicted and confused look. Did the princess decide to throw a tantrum?

[Oh, I forgot that in medieval times, the servants bathe the Masters of the house. I'm not used to this.] She was hesitant.

She looked back up, because of the big difference in height, at Adeline's pretty face. [So, she's not a pedophile.]

She didn't want to make things hard for the pretty maid so she reluctantly agreed. "Fine. But they have to leave." She said, pointing at the other two maids.

Adeline glanced at them.

"We will take our leave, Your Highness." They bowed and left.

Only then did Aristia walk into the bathroom.


As she entered the bathroom, one thought passed through her mind.



Her life back in the real world sounded like a book now that she thought about it. What if...

[Hehe, let's pause that thought there...]

After a long and surprisingly very relaxing bath, Aristia with Adeline's help of course, got dressed in a blue long sleeved ankle length dress before she left her room for breakfast.

Adeline walked behind her while maintaining a respectful distance as they went through the corridors.

Aristia slowed down and Adeline slowed down too.

Aristia sighed and stopped. "Walk in front, Linny."

Adeline looked taken aback by the sudden request. "Pardon?"

"I said to walk in front." Aristia repeated.

[I don't know the way. I'm like a stranger in a strange place.]

Adeline nodded and obliged.

They passed by a number of rooms and walked through quite a few corridors before going down the large winding staircase.
