16: Chapter 16: The Nine Nether Hound battles Yun Xi, captures her, and then ties her up.
"Hum!" A blinding gray divine light erupted instantly from the third double-pupil on Wang Teng's forehead.
That was not light; it was the ash of the burial grounds, the end of all things.
Wherever the gray beam passed, those nine purple bone needles halted bizarrely in mid-air.
Immediately, a harsh screeching sound rang out. The originally crystal-clear purple surfaces were rapidly coated in a layer of deathly gray, losing all divinity before falling listlessly.
Wang Teng kicked off with all four limbs, causing the ground to crack and shatter.
Like a black comet, he slammed directly toward Yun Xi in the sky.
The speed was so fast that Shi Hao's naked eye could barely track it.
"Celestial Protection!" Yun Xi exclaimed. She hadn't expected the giant beast to increase its speed rather than slow down under such immense pressure.
She hurriedly activated the divine armguard, which still bore Shi Hao's tooth marks.
"Hum!" A translucent purple screen of light protected her front.
"Bang!" Wang Teng's millstone-sized giant claw slammed heavily against the light screen.
Sparks flew everywhere, and divine patterns surged.
Yun Xi felt an overwhelming, brute force travel through the armguard, sending her flying backward for hundreds of meters, her blood and qi roiling.
"What a hard shell!" Wang Teng pressed his advantage. The nine tails behind him, like nine venomous dragons, instantly sealed off all of Yun Xi's escape routes in the air.
Nine strange mouths opened simultaneously, spewing the Nine-Nether nether-wind that corroded the void.
"You beast... how could you possess such a pure aura of the Ten Fiends?" Yun Xi finally realized that something was wrong.
This was no mutated descendant; this trembling sensation rising from the depths of her soul only appeared when facing a true Ten Fiends in its infancy!
"Damn it!" Yun Xi dared not hold back any longer. She bit the tip of her tongue and sprayed a drop of essence blood onto the divine armguard.
"Purple Extreme Divine Thunder, cleanse the evil!" Boom! The purple thunder transformed into a giant dragon, descending from the sky and striking heavily onto Wang Teng's back.
"Sizzle—" Scales cracked, and the scent of burnt flesh wafted out.
Wang Teng let out a pained cry, but this did not make him retreat; instead, it stirred up the reckless spirit of a transmigrator within him.
"That lightning strike felt quite good, didn't it, Goddess?" Wang Teng's massive body forcibly pushed forward through the lightning.
Just as Yun Xi prepared to unleash her next ultimate move, one of his tails bypassed the frontal divine power and bizarrely snaked behind her.
The dragon head at the end of the tail did not bite, but instead, with extreme flippancy, snatched the white jade waist pendant that symbolized her status.
"Let go... no, let go with your mouth!" Yun Xi's pretty face flushed red.
The waist pendant was connected to her divine sense; being snatched by this monster made her feel as if half her strength had been drained, and a sense of violated shame welled up in her heart.
"Brother-in-law! Good bite! Bite her left side! There's divine source liquid in the pocket on the left!" Shi Hao hid behind a pile of rocks, watching with glee, jumping up and down while waving his broken sword.
"Go, Big Black Dog! No, I mean, mighty, imposing, and handsome Brother-in-law! Capture her, and we'll have a feast tonight... oh wait, we're missing someone to serve tea and pour water!"
"Pah! You shameless little thief!" Yun Xi was so angry she nearly fell from mid-air.
Wang Teng had by now pushed forward to right in front of Yun Xi. His massive wolf head was only a few feet away from her exquisite, beautiful face.
Wang Teng sniffed the refreshing, amethyst-like fragrance, a mischievous light flickering in his double-pupils.
"Don't move, Celestial girl!" Wang Teng's massive wolf head hovered in mid-air, the hot breath he exhaled almost spraying onto Yun Xi's neck.
This pearl of the Celestial Race, usually high and mighty, had never been in such close contact with a wild, peerless fierce beast.
"Let me go!" Yun Xi let out a sharp cry, her long, straight legs kicking violently in the void.
Due to the intense battle just now, her light purple divine silk dress had several tears.
As she struggled violently, her skirt fluttered, and that pair of ivory-white, crystal-clear jade legs appeared and disappeared amidst the chaotic spiritual light.
What a pair of legs they were! Round and long, with breathtaking curves.
A string of purple divine bells tied around her ankles emitted rapid "jingle" sounds with her movements, each one sounding like it was striking at the very heart of a person.
Yun Xi's struggle was extremely intense; the precious blood of the Celestial Race within her was boiling, and her whole body radiated an alluring amethyst fragrance.
Her cheeks, flushed from anger, combined with the undulating movement of her lithe, willow-like waist.
Not only did it not make Wang Teng feel threatened, but it instead exuded a charming fragility that made one's blood boil.
"Is this the death throes of a Goddess? It's actually quite pleasing to the eye." Wicked light swirled in Wang Teng's double-pupils.
Although he possessed a human heart, this Nine-Nether Ao body was full of aggression.
The more Yun Xi resisted, the higher the primitive desire for conquest in his bloodline rose.
"Unfortunately, this Prince Consort doesn't have time to play cat and mouse with you." Wang Teng snorted coldly, and the third double-pupil on his forehead no longer shot out beams of nirvanic death.
Instead, it suddenly bloomed with a weird, ink-dark light tinged with purple.
"Nine-Nether Order—Divine Chains Imprison the Heavens!"
"Clang, clang—" A booming sound of metal rubbing against metal echoed in the void. Dozens of black-purple order divine chains shot out from the void.
Like venomous snakes possessing life, they carried the cold aura of rules and precisely coiled around Yun Xi's flailing limbs.
"No... what is this monster!" Yun Xi discovered in terror that the moment these chains touched her skin.
Not only did they seal her divine power, but they also carried a bone-chilling cold that seeped into her marrow, like maggots on a bone.
The divine chains crossed and intertwined, domineeringly binding this Celestial Race Goddess tightly.
Because the chains were pulled extremely tight, Yun Xi's proud figure was perfectly outlined; the divine silk sank in, revealing even more breathtaking curves.
She was like a purple butterfly caught in a spider web, trembling powerlessly amidst the formation of black chains.
True fear and despair finally emerged in those beautiful purple eyes.
"Oh my, Brother-in-law, this move of yours is impressive!" Shi Hao ran over holding the broken sword, circled around Yun Xi, who was tied up like a "gift package," and clicked his tongue in wonder.
"These chains are sturdy; teach me later, and I'll go catch two pure-blooded Vermilion Birds to pull my carriage."
Upon hearing the words "pull my carriage," Yun Xi was so angry she nearly fainted.
Just as Wang Teng prepared to swing his tail and carry this "trophy" away like luggage, Princess Huo Linger, who had been guarding the rear, finally couldn't watch anymore.
"Bad dog, stop it!" Princess Huo Linger, like an angry little red bird, stood in front of Yun Xi.
Looking at Yun Xi's tearful, delicate appearance, bruised by the thick chains, her sympathy as a woman instantly exploded.
"Look at yourself, look at what you've done to the Goddess! She... she can barely breathe!"
Princess Huo Linger said, while reaching out her small hands to pry at the cold black-purple chains.
Although she was also afraid of Wang Teng, it was more a sense of shame and annoyance that "her own man was messing around outside."
"Linger, she is an enemy." Wang Teng lowered his head with a headache, his huge wolf eyes full of helplessness. "She was trying to kill you just a moment ago."
"That was because Shi Hao snatched her things first!" Princess Huo Linger said, hands on her hips, righteously.
"Besides, your way of tying people up is too... too shameful! This isn't capturing a prisoner; this is clearly..."
