2: Chapter 2: The white tiger meat smells delicious, and the nine-headed lion looks appetizing too.

"So hard!"

Wang Teng only felt a slight jolt atop his head, and immediately, a violent savagery completely took over his reason.

Strike while he's down!

Wang Teng's massive palm, covered in black-gold scales, suddenly shot out, pinning the White Tiger's head and slamming it fiercely into the ground.

"Thud!"

The earth shook violently, and dust billowed. The White Tiger's head was forcibly pressed into the soil.

"Let me go! I am from Xiling Beast Mountain..."

The White Tiger struggled desperately, runes burning all over its body, trying to shake off Wang Teng's suppression.

"Too much chatter!"

Fierce light flared in Wang Teng's eyes, and the nine massive tails behind him, like nine evil dragons, instantly coiled tightly around the White Tiger's body.

The nine ferocious beast heads at the ends of the tails opened their maws in unison, biting down fiercely onto the White Tiger's body!

"Squish!" "Squish!"

Fresh blood splattered.

With the nine heads biting simultaneously, the White Tiger's prideful protective runes shattered instantly.

Those nine mouths seemed to carry some kind of eerie curse and devouring power.

The White Tiger discovered with horror that the essence blood and spiritual energy within its body were draining away frantically.

"No... what kind of sorcery is this! You are a devil!!"

The White Tiger was finally afraid.

It felt the shadow of death.

This method of plundering life was too ancient, too evil; it didn't seem like any precious technique of the current age at all!

Wang Teng ignored its wails.

At this moment, he only felt waves of warmth surging into his body along his tails, and his stomach, previously burning with hunger, finally received a sliver of comfort.

"Not enough yet... I haven't eaten the main course."

Wang Teng opened his bloodthirsty maw, filled with fangs, aiming at the White Tiger's neck without any fancy techniques.

It was just the most primitive, most barbaric—bite!

"Snap!"

The neck bone shattered.

The White Tiger's massive body convulsed violently a few times, the light in its eyes faded rapidly, and finally, it stopped moving completely.

A corner of the Baiduan Mountains returned to a deathly silence.

Only Wang Teng's heavy breathing and the crisp sound of chewing bones remained.

...

Half an hour later.

The once arrogant White Tiger from Xiling Beast Mountain was now reduced to nothing but a complete tiger skin and a few crystal-clear leg bones.

Wang Teng licked the bloodstains from the corners of his mouth, still feeling unsatisfied.

With this "big meal" in his stomach.

He could clearly feel some changes happening to his body. His previously somewhat stiff limb movements became more fluid.

The inherited memories of the Nine-Nether Ao within him seemed to have been partially activated as well.

His scales became deeper, as if they could swallow light.

The vertical eye at the center of his brow—the Heavy-Pupil Blood Eye—opened and closed slightly, and one could faintly see wisps of chaotic energy swirling within it.

"Is this what it means to become stronger just by eating?"

Wang Teng stood up and shook the dust off his body.

Although there was no system prompt, he could feel that his physical strength had increased by at least ten percent.

The Geng Metal energy contained within the White Tiger's body was perfectly absorbed by his own body, turning into nutrients to strengthen his scale defense.

"Xiling Beast Mountain... the taste is indeed not bad."

Wang Teng looked into the distance, toward the depths of Baiduan Mountain, where treasure light was faintly soaring into the sky; that was the sign of a divine medicine appearing.

"I heard there are pure-blooded creatures here, even ancient relics like Feiyi and the God Monkey King..."

A trickle of saliva flowed uncontrollably from the corner of Wang Teng's mouth.

"Since I've been reborn as a Nine-Nether Ao, I must have the consciousness of being a monster."

"In this world where the weak are prey to the strong, I will eat my way through the Nine Heavens and Ten Earths!"

Wang Teng strode forward on all fours, his nine tails swaying behind him, carrying an aura of ferocity capable of sweeping through the ages, as he headed toward the depths of Baiduan Mountain.

The small beasts along the way shivered, daring only to peek at that terrifying silhouette from the grass.

What they didn't know was that this ancient ferocious god, which had just been born, wasn't thinking about dominating the world, but about eating its way through it...

"For the next meal, should it be steamed or braised?"

The bloody scent in the mountain forest had not yet dissipated, and the tragic Geng Metal energy in the air had just calmed down.

A far more vast and sacred aura came rolling in from the distant mountains.

That was a level of life completely different from the White Tiger.

If the White Tiger was a sharp blade.

Then this newly arrived aura was like a moving golden bell—glorious, righteous, yet exuding a domineering air of being the only one supreme.

"Who is it? Who dares to commit murder on the edge of my territory, and even kill someone from Xiling Beast Mountain?"

Accompanied by a low roar like thunder, the ancient trees in the distance collapsed in swathes.

With ten thousand rays of golden light and a thousand streaks of auspicious colors, an extremely spirited creature stepped through the air.

It was a Golden Lion, its size as massive as a small mountain.

Its entire body was covered in golden scales instead of fur, shining brilliantly under the sunlight.

The most terrifying thing was that nine heads grew from its neck, each one majestic beyond compare.

Its mane was like burning golden flames, and at this moment, eighteen eyes shot out golden light in unison, piercing through the void.

Behind it, several other relics with not-weak auras followed:

A Fire Cloud Sparrow wreathed in flames, and a Silver-Horned Giant Rhino that was entirely silver-white with a single horn.

This was the Nine-Headed Lion, a royal clan among the ancient relics, with an extremely pure bloodline.

Known as invincible among its peers, it was a true hegemon in this Baiduan Mountain.

It had originally sensed intense battle fluctuations here and had specifically brought along a few newly acquired underlings to inspect the situation and, incidentally, to establish its authority.

But when it parted the clouds and saw the scene below, all eighteen eyes simultaneously revealed a hint of astonishment.

There, in the pile of rocks, a black giant beast with an extremely strange, ugly, and ferocious appearance was squatting.

It had the body of a wolf, the horns of a dragon, and nine white-bone tails behind it waving casually in the air.

And under this monster's feet, it was stepping on a few crystal-clear tiger bones.

"That is... the White Tiger from Xiling Beast Mountain?"

The Silver-Horned Giant Rhino's voice was trembling, "Eaten? Only bones are left?"

The Nine-Headed Lion's eyes narrowed, and an inexplicable chill rose in its heart.

It knew the White Tiger's strength very well; although not as strong as itself, it was definitely a formidable fighter. How could it have been eaten clean in such a short time?

"Hey! You ugly freak over there!"

Although the Nine-Headed Lion was vigilant, the arrogance stemming from the Golden Lion lineage made it unwilling to show weakness.

Looking down from above, its nine heads spoke in unison, the sound waves pressing down like a tsunami:

"What monster are you? Why do you not kneel upon seeing this lord?"

Below, Wang Teng slowly raised his head.

He had just finished eating a White Tiger; although his hunger was alleviated, the greed stemming from the depths of his soul had not been filled at all.

At this moment, seeing that golden, radiant "big meatball" in the sky, Wang Teng's saliva once again flowed down uncontrollably.

"Golden... it looks like it's been deep-fried."

A rumbling sound emanated from Wang Teng's throat, and he completely ignored the Nine-Headed Lion's questioning.

Within his Heavy-Pupil Blood Eye, there was now nothing left but the Nine-Headed Lion's robust, muscular meat.
