29: Crazy Goblin 4

"The power of space-time is truly wondrous," Fatty smiled and said, "but it is not meant for assassination."

"Have you ever considered using this power to help others?"

"For example, saving those lives that are about to fade away,"

"Or repairing those damaged space-times?"

Ling Lianna fell silent.

She had never imagined that the ability she prided herself on could actually have such possibilities.

In the following days, Ling Lianna continued to observe Fatty and found herself increasingly drawn to this Goblin.

Fatty's strength, wisdom, and understanding of the power of space-time all filled her with admiration.

Eventually, she took the initiative to find Fatty and expressed her willingness to join the Alliance.

...

The fourth and fifth to arrive simultaneously were the Divine-Grade Priest Lilyas and the Paladin Lanlikesi.

Lilyas was the most powerful priest, capable of casting holy healing and purification magic, while Lanlikesi was the most devout paladin, possessing impeccable defense and the power to judge evil.

When they heard that a Goblin was forming some sort of "World Harmony and Great Love Alliance," and had already subdued Vikas, Blaze Lina, and Ling Lianna, they were extremely shocked and angry.

"That Goblin must have used evil magic to control them!" Lilyas said angrily,

"We must go and purify that Devil King!"

"Exactly!"

Lanlikesi gripped her holy sword,

"As representatives of the Holy, it is our duty to eradicate evil!"

The two came to the Alliance together to challenge Fatty.

The battle unfolded in the square of the Holy Cathedral.

Lilyas cast a Holy Light barrier, and Lanlikesi launched a Holy Light charge; their coordination was flawless, and they seemed invincible.

However, Fatty simply released his Demon King Power, easily shattering the Holy Light barrier and effortlessly blocking the Holy Light charge.

"Your faith is very firm."

Fatty praised,

"But does your faith exist solely to oppose evil?"

"If there were no more evil in the world, where would your faith go?"

Lilyas and Lanlikesi were stunned.

They had never thought about this question.

From childhood, they had been taught to fight evil and purify the world.

But if there were truly no evil in the world, what would they do?

In the subsequent battle, the two unleashed all their holy magic, but it was all easily neutralized by Fatty.

What confused them even more was that they discovered there was no aura of evil on Fatty; instead, there was a strange purity.

"You... what exactly are you?"

Lilyas asked in confusion.

"I am a Goblin who wants to create a peaceful world."

Fatty said sincerely,

"Join us."

"Use your Holy Light power to heal instead of judge."

"Go and create a world that does not need to fight against evil."

Lilyas and Lanlikesi looked at each other, and both could see the wavering in each other's eyes.

Eventually, the two decided to join the Alliance to see what kind of world Fatty could actually create.

With one hero after another joining, Fatty's "World Harmony and Great Love Alliance" grew stronger and stronger.

It was not just these heroes; other races also began to join; the Dwarves brought exquisite forging techniques, the Skeleton race brought a unique understanding of life and death, and various Beast races and Orcs brought the wisdom of living in harmony with nature.

The Alliance's territory continued to expand, and the philosophy of peace gradually spread.

However, as the territory under the Alliance's rule became wider, Fatty and its new partners soon discovered a serious problem: even in those regions that claimed submission, there were still many human nobles who feigned compliance while continuing their brutal rule.

Consequently, Fatty led its allies, including the newly joined Vikas, Blaze Lina, Ling Lianna, Lilyas, and Lanlikesi, to begin a series of cleansing operations to eradicate the corrupt officials and brutal nobles who were harming the common people.

The first to be eradicated was the lord of the Black Swamp, "The Skinner" Gray.

When Fatty led the Alliance team to a village on the edge of the Black Swamp, what they saw was not a welcoming crowd, but impoverished farmers kneeling all over the ground.

They were shivering, their eyes filled with fear and despair.

"My lord... please don't kill us..."

an old farmer said in a trembling voice.

Fatty frowned:

"We are not here to slaughter."

"We are here to invite you to join the Peace Alliance."

The villagers looked at each other, seemingly unable to believe it.

Finally, a young man gathered his courage and said:

"My lord, if you really won't kill us..."

"Then can you... can you go to the castle and take a look?"

"Lord Gray... he snatched three more people away yesterday..."

"Lord Gray?"

Vikas asked coldly,

"What did he do?"

The villagers dared not speak at first, but under the soothing effect of Lilyas's Holy Light magic, a woman finally burst into tears:

"He likes to skin people... My husband... was taken by him last year..."

As the villagers poured out their grievances, a heinous truth surfaced: Gray, the lord of the Black Swamp, took pleasure in collecting human skin to decorate his rooms, and every year he would "levy" several young men and women.

Those who resisted would have their entire families executed, and the village lived in terror for a long time.

Blaze Lina's fists clenched, making a cracking sound:

"Does a beast like this... deserve to be called a noble?"

Fatty did not speak, but the chill in its eyes said it all.

It turned to look at the newly joined partners:

"Vikas, Blaze Lina, you come with me to the castle."

"Ling Lianna, you are responsible for reconnaissance."

"Lilyas, Lanlikesi, you stay here to treat the injured villagers."

"I will go too."

Su Bai stepped forward,

"As a knight, I cannot tolerate such atrocities."

The castle's defenses were nonexistent before the powerful members of the Alliance.

Ling Lianna used her space-time ability to open the castle gates directly, and Fatty and Vikas rushed in first.

They found Gray in the castle hall.

This fat lord was trying to escape through a secret passage with his treasures, dragging two bound young girls beside him.

"Stop."

Fatty's voice was not loud, but it made Gray freeze completely.

"Mon-Monster..."

Gray was terrified and collapsed to the ground, then as if remembering something, he hurriedly said,

"I-I have money! Lots of money! I'll give it all to you! Spare me!"

Blaze Lina kicked him over:

"Who wants your dirty money!"

Fatty ordered the soldiers to open the castle dungeon.

The sight inside made even Vikas, who was used to bloodshed, frown; dozens of processed human skins were meticulously framed and hung on the walls like works of art.

In the corner, there were a dozen or so dying prisoners, their bodies covered in scars.

"The evidence is conclusive."

Fatty said coldly,

"According to the Alliance laws, those who commit intentional murder, abuse, or enslavement of others are sentenced to death."

Gray was dragged to the village square.

In front of all the villagers, Fatty announced his crimes and allowed the victims' families to carry out the sentence themselves.

When Gray's screams finally stopped, the villagers were silent at first, then erupted into long-repressed weeping and cheering.

"From today on, the Black Swamp will be directly managed by the Alliance."

Fatty announced:

"There will be no more 'levies,' no more fear."

"All stolen property will be returned to the Original Owner,"

"And the land will be distributed equally."

Lilyas and Lanlikesi used Holy Light to heal all the injured villagers.

When they left, the people of the entire village knelt on the ground, shouting "Long live the Alliance."

The second to be cleansed was the tax officer of Silver Creek City, Morrison.

Silver Creek City was one of the first cities to join the Alliance, but Fatty soon received a report from a Dwarf merchant caravan: the tax burden in the city had not decreased, but had instead increased.

Fatty took Blaze Lina and Ling Lianna to return to Silver Creek City secretly to investigate.

The scene they saw was infuriating: people were starving to death in the slums outside the city, while the City Lord's mansion was feasting every night.

Ling Lianna infiltrated the City Lord's mansion and brought back shocking news: after the original City Lord died in battle, the tax officer Morrison declared himself acting City Lord.

On the surface, he was loyal to the Alliance, but behind the scenes, he colluded with remnants of the nobility, using the excuse of "supporting the Alliance's war" to raise taxes fivefold, with all the money going into his and his accomplices' pockets.

"What's even more detestable,"

Ling Lianna said coldly,

"is that he forged the Alliance's tax documents, making the commoners believe it was your order."

Fatty's eyes turned completely cold.

What it hated most was someone using its name to do evil.

That night, Fatty led all the female heroes to storm into the banquet hall of the City Lord's mansion.

Morrison was holding a luxurious banquet, and the long table was filled with delicacies snatched from the commoners.

"Morrison,"

Fatty's voice made the entire banquet hall instantly quiet,

"Explain why people are starving to death outside the city, while you are holding a banquet here?"

Morrison's expression changed, then he put on a smile:

"My lord, you have misunderstood! These are all... necessary administrative expenses! They are for serving the Alliance better!"

"Administrative expenses?"

Blaze Lina pointed at the roast whole lamb and rare fruits on the table,

"This is enough for a village to eat for a month!"

Under the duress of Blaze Lina's flame magic, Morrison's account books and secret warehouse were soon found.

Inside, it was not only piled with grain and treasure, but also letters of conspiracy with the nobles; they planned to restore the old order once the Alliance army left and suppress all "traitors who are close to the monster."

Fatty held a public trial in the Silver Creek City square.

When Morrison's crimes were made public, especially when those conspiracy letters were read aloud, the commoners' anger reached its peak.

"Hang him!"

"He starved my daughter to death!"

According to the Alliance's newly promulgated "Basic Law," corruption, oppression of commoners, and conspiracy to rebel were all capital crimes.

Morrison and his main accomplices were sentenced to death, and the other accomplices were sentenced to forced labor or exile depending on the severity of their involvement.

Fatty distributed all the grain in the warehouse to the poor and appointed a temporary management committee composed of commoners, Dwarf representatives, and Elf advisors.

Silver Creek City became a pilot city for the Alliance's "democratic management."

What angered Fatty and everyone the most was the "Slave Count" Calvin in the northern border region.

This count was one of the first nobles to surrender to the Alliance; his attitude was respectful, and he had even taken the initiative to hand over a large amount of "sincerity money."

Fatty originally had a good impression of him, until the Elf patrol brought disturbing news: within Calvin's territory, commoners often went missing.
