49: Demon Gatling vs. Vampire 2

Qin Jiuge didn't waste any words; he pushed the two people aside and strode into the air-raid shelter.

Inside the air-raid shelter at this moment, many people were cleaning weapons and repairing armor. Some children were gathered around a bonfire, listening to an old soldier recount the "heroic deeds" of Memlisse breaking into Bloodfang Fortress alone.

Seeing Qin Jiuge return, everyone stopped their work, their eyes filled with awe. After all, he was one of the most capable squad leaders in the Resistance Forces.

"Everyone stop! I have something to say!"

Qin Jiuge's voice wasn't loud, but it carried an unquestionable Aura that instantly silenced the noise in the air-raid shelter.

Everyone was stunned; even the nurse who was changing bandages for the wounded stopped her hands.

In the crowd, A Che walked out carrying a sniper rifle and frowned, asking, "Captain, what's wrong? Did you track down the messenger?"

"Something ten thousand times more important than that!"

Qin Jiuge's gaze swept over everyone present, finally landing on the group of children by the bonfire. "The Saintess in your eyes, Memlisse, is a traitor!"

"She has been colluding with Count Blood Orchid for three hundred years. Every one of our resistance operations was leaked to the vampires by her!"

This sentence was like a thunderclap, instantly causing an uproar in the air-raid shelter.

"Captain, have you lost your mind?!" A Che abruptly raised his sniper rifle, aiming it at Qin Jiuge. "How can you say that about Lady Memlisse? She saved all of us!"

"That's right! Captain, have you been affected by the vampires' mental attacks?"

"Impossible! How could the Saintess be a traitor? Show us the evidence!"

Voices of doubt and angry curses rose one after another. Some people even gripped their weapons, their eyes full of hostility.

He sneered and waved his hand lightly, projecting images onto the ceiling of the air-raid shelter. The next second, a giant light screen suddenly appeared on the dome of the shelter, displaying the exact scene from the abandoned church just moments ago:

Memlisse, wearing a lace dress, nestled in the arms of Count Blood Orchid, her fingertips caressing his pale cheek. Count Blood Orchid raised his hand and branded a blood-red mark on her neck. Their whispered voices came through clearly:

"There are still some stubborn elements in the Resistance Forces." "Use the blood of one hundred thousand people to pave your path of transformation."...

...The images on the screen continued, even clearly capturing the tenderness on Memlisse's face that she had never shown to humans, and the possessiveness in Count Blood Orchid's eyes.

The air-raid shelter instantly fell silent. Everyone widened their eyes, their expressions shifting from shock to disbelief, and finally into bone-chilling coldness.

A Che, who had been holding the sniper rifle, felt his fingers start to tremble, and the muzzle of the gun lowered involuntarily.

The children by the bonfire stopped crying, their eyes filled with confusion and fear.

Former military instructor Old Zheng gripped the military knife at his waist, his knuckles turning white from the force. He muttered, "No wonder... no wonder every operation failed... we were being used as bait all along..."

"Is that evidence enough?" Qin Jiuge's voice broke the deathly silence. "She is not a Saintess; she is the executioner pushing us all into Hell!"

"Three hundred years ago, she fed Count Blood Orchid her own blood to help him escape pursuit." "For three hundred years, she has used the lives of the Resistance Forces to help Count Blood Orchid erode human forces." "Next, she plans to lure one hundred thousand human survivors to the Crimson Wasteland, letting Count Blood Orchid turn us all into blood bags!"

"Damn it! That bitch!" A young soldier slammed his dagger down, his eyes bloodshot. "My sister died in the last Blood Mist Mine operation! So it was all her doing!"

"Kill her! Kill this traitor!" "And Count Blood Orchid! I'm going to skin him alive!"

The angry roars shook the dust from the ceiling of the air-raid shelter, causing it to fall in showers.

Qin Jiuge raised his hand, signaling everyone to be quiet. "Now is not the time for anger. Do you want revenge?" "Do you want to make these vampires pay the price?"

"Yes!" Everyone roared in unison, their voices filled with monstrous hatred.

"Good!" A bloodthirsty glint flashed in Qin Jiuge's eyes. "System, distribute the demon god gatling gun."

【Ding! 10,000 demon god gatling guns have been distributed to Ash Valley and all surrounding human survivor strongholds.】【Basic operation tutorials have been synchronized to the targets' minds!】

As soon as he finished speaking, "clattering" sounds suddenly came from the various entrances of the air-raid shelter. Thousands of menacing-looking black firearms appeared out of thin air, the gun bodies engraved with blood-red demon god patterns, and the muzzles glowing with a cold blue light.

Each gun was equipped with a foldable bipod, and four small characters were printed on the body: demon god gatling gun.

Qin Jiuge stepped down from the rock, casually picked up a gatling gun, and weighed it. It was as light as a feather, with absolutely no recoil.

He pulled the trigger, and the muzzle instantly spewed dazzling blue fire. The "da-da-da-da" sound of gunfire was deafening. Bullets struck the stone wall of the air-raid shelter, instantly creating dense bullet holes as stone chips flew everywhere.

Qin Jiuge released the trigger, the blue fire extinguished, and the muzzle was still emitting wisps of smoke. "This is the demon god gatling gun: infinite ammunition, zero recoil, infinite durability, and the bullets are enchanted with holy fire."

Everyone was stunned, their eyes fixed intently on the smoking gatling gun. The most powerful weapon they had ever seen in their lives was the military rifle in Old Zheng's hands; how could they have ever seen such a terrifying killing machine?

"Now," Qin Jiuge shouldered the gatling gun, his gaze sweeping over everyone present. "Those who are willing to follow me to kill vampires, pick up the guns on the ground!"

"From today on, we are not blood bags kept in captivity; we are hunters!" "Three hundred years of debt—today, we will collect it with interest!"

"I'm going!" A Che was the first to rush over, picking up a gatling gun. Following the tutorial in his mind, he deployed the bipod and aimed the muzzle at the entrance of the air-raid shelter. "I'm going to kill that bitch Memlisse! I'll avenge my sister!"

"And me!" Xiao Man hugged a gatling gun, the timidity of the past gone from her eyes, replaced only by the flames of revenge. "Count me in!"

Old Zheng picked up a gatling gun and tested the trigger, a ferocious smile appearing on his face. "I've been a soldier my whole life and never played with a weapon like this. Today is the perfect chance to have some fun!"

In less than ten minutes, all five thousand people in Ash Valley had picked up their gatling guns.

Qin Jiuge contacted the scattered Resistance Forces strongholds through the System. Once he explained Memlisse's betrayal and the demon god gatling guns, all the survivors went wild. The hatred they had suppressed for three hundred years finally had a channel to vent!

In just one hour, a "demon god gatling gun Hunting Group" composed of ten thousand humans was officially formed. Everyone carried a gatling gun, the muzzles glowing with blue light, their eyes filled with bloodthirsty longing.

Qin Jiuge stood at the very front of the formation, carrying a gatling gun one size larger than everyone else's. The demon god patterns on the gun body glowed with a blood-red light under the moonlight.

"Target, Bloodfang Fortress!" Qin Jiuge gave the order. "First, let's kill every single vampire stationed in the stronghold!"

Ten thousand gatling guns were cocked simultaneously. The "click" sound merged into one, sounding exceptionally piercing in the Eternal Night.

The Hunting Group set off in a grand procession, their footsteps making the ground tremble slightly. Under the moonlight, this army carrying blue-fire killing machines resembled a black torrent, sweeping toward the vampire stronghold. Three hundred years of human humiliation would begin to be washed away from this moment on with the blood of vampires!

...Bloodfang Fortress was an important stronghold for the vampires in the eastern region, and also the place where Memlisse had once "single-handedly saved three hundred children." Later, the Original Owner learned that it wasn't a rescue at all; it was a "merit" Count Blood Orchid had intentionally left for her to consolidate her status as the "Saintess."

At this moment, three hundred vampire soldiers were stationed in Bloodfang Fortress, including three A-Class Vampires. Over two thousand human captives were imprisoned within the fortress, and every day, people were drained of their blood, their corpses thrown outside the fortress like trash.

On the fortress walls, two vampire soldiers were leaning against the battlements, chatting idly while holding wine glasses filled with human blood.

"Have you heard? Lord Count is going to hold a transformation ceremony with Lady Memlisse." "At that time, Lady Memlisse will become a member of our vampire race, and an SSS-Class one at that!"

"Of course! Lord Count is deeply infatuated with Lady Memlisse. After three hundred years, it's finally coming to fruition!"

"Hehe, once the ceremony is over, those Resistance Forces rats will be wiped out." "Then we'll be able to drink fresh blood every day and won't have to guard this crappy fortress anymore!"

As the two were talking, they suddenly heard a "da-da-da-da" sound from the distance, like some kind of mechanical operation, getting closer and denser.

"What's that sound?" One vampire soldier frowned and leaned out to look into the distance.

Under the moonlight, he saw the most terrifying scene of his life: a massive crowd of people was charging toward Bloodfang Fortress. Everyone carried a menacing-looking black firearm, the muzzles glowing with an eerie blue light. That Aura, like a tidal wave, instantly overwhelmed the entire wasteland.

"E-enemy... attack!" The vampire soldier was so scared that the wine glass in his hand fell to the ground and shattered. "Quick! Sound the alarm! It's the Resistance Forces!"

The other soldier reacted and hurriedly rang the alarm bell on the fortress wall. The "clang-clang-clang" of the bell echoed throughout Bloodfang Fortress. The stationed vampire soldiers rushed out of their barracks, holding the curved blades and blood-energy staves unique to vampires, looking at the charging humans with disdain. In their eyes, humans were just ants that couldn't withstand a single blow; no matter how many came, they were just delivering blood to their door.

"Hahaha! Have these humans gone mad? To actually dare to take the initiative to attack Bloodfang Fortress!"
