109: Endless treasures within the gate of God

Yang Yi flew to a nearby spot.

He stared at the strong person in front of him with a look of shock.

This guy's strength seemed even greater than before he entered, and his vital energy hadn't been significantly depleted.

Thinking this, Yang Yi knew his idea of killing and seizing the Treasure Trove had fallen through.

With his current strength, he couldn't achieve that.

Just as the Elder was about to pursue Yang Yi, he flashed into a divine gate.

As soon as Yang Yi entered the divine gate, he smelled a peculiar fragrance.

He quickly held his breath, fearing the scent might be poisonous.

After walking a few steps, he found himself surrounded by sparkling jewels.

Inside the divine gate was a medium-sized palace.

The palace was inlaid with various jewels, and even the path underfoot was paved with them, creating a starlit road.

The road was littered with white bones, indicating that people had been here before, but unfortunately, they all died.

It was unknown if anyone had managed to leave.

Yang Yi stared at the road surface, noticing many areas where deep pits had been smashed into it.

Even so, these pits were still embedded with various shattered gems.

This showed the immense thickness of the road, and by extension, the vast wealth hidden within the divine gate.

Although the pearls and agates before Yang Yi and the others weren't particularly valuable, their sheer quantity was astounding.

If all the jewels could be taken, it would still amount to a considerable fortune.

Suddenly, a strange roar came from ahead.

Then, from a door within the palace, an armored warrior, approximately three meters tall, stomped out with a rumbling sound.

The black armored warrior held a red spear over two meters long, with dried bloodstains remaining on its shaft.

Because the armor completely obscured the person inside, their face couldn't be seen, only two lifeless and ferocious eyes.

Those eyes were no longer those of a normal person; they were indescribably eerie.

From them, Yang Yi could no longer sense any vitality; their entire being was filled with a kind of Death Qi.

Clearly, the person inside the armor was already dead, but for some reason, still possessed the ability to move.

As Yang Yi pondered, the armored warrior's spear had already thrust towards him.

Points of cold light suddenly appeared, and the entire space seemed to be torn and twisted.

Yang Yi felt as if his body was being forcefully pulled left and right by something, as if it would be torn into pieces the next second.

Without time to think, Yang Yi immediately retreated.

At the same time, he drew the Seven Injury Divine Sword from his back and fiercely slashed forward.

With a crack, the armored warrior was split in two, and the person inside was exposed within the palace.

Under the reflection of the jewels, it looked extremely bizarre.

His body was no longer bleeding; his insides were as dry as a withered tree branch, filled with many small, black, shelled insects, like cockroaches.

After the body was split in two, these cockroaches seemed to be stimulated or guided by something, swarming towards Yang Yi.

It was at that moment that Yang Yi noticed the armored warrior's body had turned into copper powder, and even his armor was gone.

Yang Yi was greatly shocked.

He swept out with the Seven Injury Divine Sword, killing a batch of the strange insects.

He continued to sweep a few more times, finally wiping out all the insects.

After waiting for a moment, there was no further unusual movement in the palace.

Yang Yi slowly walked towards the room from which the armored warrior had emerged.

This palace contained only this one room.

Entering the room, the space inside was not very large.

There was a red wooden stone table, somewhat rotted, with a book and a sword on it.

The book was a Yellow-grade Cultivation Technique, 'Sunset Art'.

The sword was also good.

Yang Yi collected both items and then observed his surroundings, confirming there were no hidden mechanisms or secret passages.

Only then did he walk out with some disappointment, having initially thought there would be something amazing inside the divine gate.

But now, it seemed to contain only common items.

He wondered about the situation inside the other divine gates.

Yang Yi was not in a hurry to leave.

His previous thought remained: eventually, these people would inevitably have a battle.

At that time, it was uncertain who would ultimately possess these treasures.

Obtaining treasures now was only temporary.

Although Yang Yi had the intention of killing and seizing treasures, this was not his true desire.

Rather, it was an inevitable development, a last resort.

If they could leave peacefully, Yang Yi would absolutely not do such a thing.

He would also be like the others, quickly acquiring more treasures and then leaving.

However, others would not give him this opportunity.

After staying in the divine gate for about an hour, Yang Yi slowly exited.

When he came out, he saw that six or seven people had already gathered in the main hall.

Three of them were covered in injuries, while the others were unharmed.

He didn't know the situation inside the other divine gates, but if armored warriors existed in all of them and had the same strength, these few people should not have been injured.

As Yang Yi pondered, he had already approached these individuals.

Two of them were from Luoyue Sect.

One of them came up to Yang Yi and said through gritted teeth, "The outside is blocked."

Yang Yi was startled and quickly asked who had blocked the outside.

The person from Luoyue Sect told Yang Yi that they didn't know who it was yet, but many people had gathered outside the cave, and their strength was considerable.

There were at least a hundred people, completely surrounding the cave entrance.

Now, it was easy to get in, but as difficult as ascending to heaven to get out.

It seemed some people had prepared in advance, Yang Yi thought to himself.

He looked at the others and asked, "Why aren't you all entering the divine gates anymore? Have the things inside already been taken?"

A Disciple from Luoyue Sect shook his head.

"We're waiting for the people inside to come out to tell them about the situation outside."

Yang Yi nodded silently, feeling slightly strange.

How did these people know about the situation outside? They must have gone out to know.

But why would they go out? Did they know when to be content, taking a few treasures and wanting to leave, or was there another purpose?

If it was the former, there was no need to think much.

If it was the latter, things could get troublesome.

Just then, more people successively emerged from the divine gates.

When everyone explained the situation outside, these people also temporarily stopped entering the divine gates.

However, some people, eager to obtain treasures, didn't care about the situation outside and still entered the divine gates.

After about half an hour, Haitang and the others also emerged from the divine gates.

Seeing so many people gathered outside, she curiously asked what had happened.

Upon learning the situation outside, Haitang was not anxious at all.

The people from Luoyue Sect were not as urgent as Yang Yi had imagined.

As for the others, they didn't seem afraid either.
