96: Birds Pay Homage to the Phoenix, Here I Give It to You

Returning to the palace again.

He was no longer as polite to Yang Yi as before.

His face was cold.

He watched Yang Yi drinking tea there.

He said unpleasantly:

"Leave once you finish your tea."

"Our Elder has no time to see you."

Upon hearing this, Yang Yi could not help but be slightly stunned.

They were the ones who invited him to the Sect.

Yet now, they had no time to see him.

It was clear they didn't think much of him.

Yang Yi understood this perfectly.

He did not make things difficult for a gatekeeping Disciple.

He cupped his hands at him, preparing to bid farewell and leave.

Just as he turned around, the System suddenly issued a task.

【Ding!】

【You have been discriminated against by the Sect. For the sake of the Family honor, please reclaim the Family's face.】

【Reward: Martial Skill "Dragon Tiger Dual Fists", one Realm Advancement Pill.】

Yang Yi stopped in his tracks.

He pondered for a moment.

He opened the System shop and took a look around.

He discovered a Magic Treasure in the System shop called Hundred Birds Paying Homage to the Phoenix.

It was a low-level Magic Treasure.

It only required five points to exchange.

Yang Yi exchanged for one Hundred Birds Paying Homage to the Phoenix.

He looked at the gloomy-faced Disciple with a smile.

He waved for him to come over.

The Disciple rolled his eyes.

He walked up to Yang Yi impatiently.

He asked very impolitely.

"What else do you want?"

Yang Yi smiled slightly.

With a light wave of his hand, the Hundred Birds Paying Homage to the Phoenix appeared.

It was a mirror.

The back of the mirror featured a picture of a hundred birds paying homage to the Phoenix.

The front was a dark, black mirror surface.

It could not reflect a person's image.

It could only reflect a vague outline.

"You and I are fated."

"I am giving this item to you."

As he spoke, Yang Yi tried to shove the Hundred Birds Paying Homage to the Phoenix into the Disciple's arms.

The Disciple took a step back.

He looked at the mirror with some disdain, as if afraid of dirtying his hands.

"What kind of piece of junk is this?"

"Don't give me all your trash."

"Although I am not the head of a Family, I still have a small reputation in the Diancang Sect."

"Don't think you can fool me with some scrap metal."

"Even if you give it to me, our Elder still won't see you."

"So you don't need to give me anything."

Yang Yi laughed heartily.

"I'm not giving you things to see your Elder."

"I just want to give it."

"Today, you must take it whether you want to or not."

Yang Yi lunged forward in front of the Disciple and shoved the Hundred Birds Paying Homage to the Phoenix directly into the Disciple's clothes.

The Disciple was startled and shuddered all over.

Once Yang Yi had left the palace, he finally took out the Hundred Birds Paying Homage to the Phoenix.

Looking at the tattered mirror in his hand, he was so angry that he threw it on the ground.

With a loud boom, the palace's bluestone floor was smashed into a large pit.

Wisps of blue smoke rose from the pit.

It seemed as if the Hundred Birds Paying Homage to the Phoenix was about to burst out from the ground.

A peaceful force of Yuan slowly swirled within the pit.

Immediately after, it drifted back into the Hundred Birds Paying Homage to the Phoenix.

Seeing this, the Disciple hurriedly went to the edge of the pit.

He bent down and picked up the treasure.

He wiped it carefully.

He didn't find anything unusual about it.

But he wasn't stupid.

He knew this object wasn't just scrap metal.

He quickly tucked the object into his clothes and ran to catch up with Yang Yi.

Yang Yi had already descended the mountain and was nowhere to be found.

The Disciple sat on a nearby step, studying the Hundred Birds Paying Homage to the Phoenix.

After some study, he finally confirmed it was a decent Magic Treasure.

After dripping blood to claim ownership, he was just about to test its power.

Just then, a few Disciples came from not far away.

One of them was dressed in luxurious clothing.

Seeing that Disciple playing with a broken bronze mirror, he couldn't help but sneer.

"Zhang Xiaoyi, what are you doing holding a broken mirror?"

"Where did you steal that from again?"

As he spoke, he had already arrived in front of the Disciple.

He reached out and grabbed the mirror, then threw it aside casually.

The Hundred Birds Paying Homage to the Phoenix struck a large boulder nearby.

The boulder was instantly smashed to pieces.

Looking back at the Hundred Birds Paying Homage to the Phoenix, it was completely undamaged.

Just as everyone was stunned, the Hundred Birds Paying Homage to the Phoenix actually floated lightly in mid-air.

It paused slightly, then turned into a streak of light and returned to Zhang Xiaoyi's hand.

Seeing the Magic Treasure had such spiritual nature, Zhang Xiaoyi was overjoyed.

He quickly placed the Hundred Birds Paying Homage to the Phoenix behind his back.

He bowed respectfully to the Senior Brother in front of him.

"Senior Brother."

"This is a treasure I obtained by chance."

"It was not stolen."

The surrounding Disciples did not expect a broken bronze mirror to have such power.

They were all dumbfounded.

Hearing Zhang Xiaoyi's words, they all showed expressions of surprise.

As a gatekeeping Disciple, how could he accidentally obtain such a good treasure?

"It must be stolen."

"Hurry up and give this item to us."

"We need to report this to the Elder."

The lead Disciple, Canghai Pavilion, went straight to grab the Hundred Birds Paying Homage to the Phoenix.

Zhang Xiaoyi jumped back a few steps and ran away.

Canghai Pavilion and the others pursued him relentlessly.

Zhang Xiaoyi knew that if he kept running like this, he would surely be caught by them, and the Hundred Birds Paying Homage to the Phoenix would definitely be taken away.

So he gritted his teeth and made up his mind.

He headed straight for the place where the Sect Master lived.

In a short while, he ran into a huge and magnificent palace, running and shouting.

"Sect Master, help!"

"Someone wants to rob me of my Magic Treasure!"

The Sect Master was discussing matters with several Elders.

Hearing someone calling for help outside, he couldn't help but frown.

Who was so bold to dare to make a scene in the Great Hall?

He frowned and walked out, flicking his sleeves.

The other Elders followed closely behind.

Among these Elders was the very Elder who had just rejected Yang Yi.

Before they had even walked out of the palace, Zhang Xiaoyi ran in, almost bumping into an Elder.

He quickly knelt on the ground, crying while holding the Hundred Birds Paying Homage to the Phoenix.

"Sect Master, save me!"

"A few people want to snatch my Magic Treasure!"

The Sect Master was furious upon hearing this.

His gaze swept over Zhang Xiaoyi and looked at Canghai Pavilion and the others who were running this way.

"How bold!"

"Daring to commit evil acts within the Sect."

"Do you not want to live anymore?"

Canghai Pavilion and the other Disciples ran to the Sect Master and knelt down with thuds.

"Sect Master, Zhang Xiaoyi stole someone else's Magic Treasure."

"And claimed it as his own."

"We were trying to apprehend him."

"That is why we disturbed the Sect Master and the Elders."

"Please forgive us, Sect Master."

The Sect Master's brows furrowed even deeper.

He glanced at Zhang Xiaoyi, then looked at Canghai Pavilion with slight displeasure.

Although he did not recognize these Disciples, how could things happening within the Sect escape his Dharma Eye?

Just by looking at these people, he already knew the truth of the matter.

Suddenly, he noticed that the Magic Treasure in Zhang Xiaoyi's hand was quite special.

He couldn't help but look twice.

Upon looking, he couldn't help but be shocked.

What a treasure.

It contained an extremely vast amount of Yuan force.

If they said it was stolen, he really didn't believe it.

Looking across the entire Diancang Sect, there were quite a few people who had such Magic Treasures.

But everyone was stronger than Zhang Xiaoyi.

How could Zhang Xiaoyi have stolen it?

As for the others, they didn't have such a Magic Treasure.

"You say he stole the Magic Treasure."

"Whose property was this Magic Treasure stolen from?"
