100: Chapter 100 Siege? I Only ever breach the gate.

On the black stone walls of the Mad Demon Fortress, horns sounded one after another.

The several thousand Bone Demon soldiers responsible for guarding the city had originally been resting, but upon hearing the horns, they all rushed to the ramparts.

When they leaned over the walls to look down, they were all stunned.

"Have these humans lost their minds?"

"Just this many people?"

On the wasteland, a dark mass of over five hundred people was pressing forward.

They hadn't even set up the most basic siege cover formation; they were just running straight toward the hundred-meter-high city walls.

Leading them was a youth in black carrying a dragon spear.

The city defense commander was a 7th-Grade Demon covered in barbs.

It stared at the approaching group below and cracked open its massive mouth.

"Damn it, five hundred people dare to attack the Mad Demon Fortress? Do they really take our Mad Demon Clan for pushovers?"

The commander waved its hand backward.

"Push up the ballistae! Teach these vermin what a siege battle is!"

Click, click, click.

Over a hundred giant beast-tendon ballistae were pushed to the edge of the city walls.

These were the heavy weapons used by the Mad Demon Fortress to deal with high-tier demonic beasts and human siege forces.

On every ballista, the arrowheads glinted with a ghostly green reflection.

That was a deadly poison extracted from hundreds of venomous insects; it was instantly fatal upon contact, and even a Martial King would die if touched by a drop.

The city defense commander stepped on the base of a ballista and howled down below.

"Listen up, you humans down there! If you want to die, at least pick a good time! If you're smart, wash your necks and kneel down now; I'll leave your corpses intact later."

The voice carried down on the wind.

Lei Hu was running at the front of the formation, and upon hearing this, he spat a thick glob of phlegm onto the ground.

"Grandson! Once the city falls, I'll use your skull as a chamber pot!"

Lei Hu raised the thunderstorm warblade in his hand, the electric arcs on the blade crackling.

Zhao Yi looked at the rows of poison arrows on the ramparts and quickly began calculating tactics in his mind.

"Department Head! The walls are too high and the firepower up there is too intense; charging like this will make us easy targets. Should we have the brothers spread out and look for blind spots first?"

Zhao Yi suggested as he ran.

By normal standards, five hundred people attacking a city was absolutely like slamming one's head into an iron plate.

Li Zhengyang didn't even show any intention of slowing down.

He looked at the city gate ahead, which resembled a small mountain.

It was engraved with defensive formation patterns, and just standing before this gate, one could feel a heavy sense of oppression.

"Why look for blind spots?" Li Zhengyang spun his dragon spear half a turn. "Sieges are so troublesome."

"I don't do sieges; I only go through the front door."

Zhao Yi was stunned.

The front door? Without a few heavy spiritual armor-piercing vehicles, even a Martial Emperor would have to smash at this gate for a whole day.

Before Zhao Yi could react, Li Zhengyang lifted his right foot and stomped heavily into the air.

Soaring Dragon Sky-Stepping Footwork

Dirt flew into the air.

On the city wall, the commander threw its head back and laughed wildly, raising its right hand high.

"Fire..."

The word was only halfway out before it stuck in its throat.

Its eyeballs bulged.

The youth in black below had vanished into thin air.

No afterimage, no sound of wind.

Just a living person; one second he was a hundred meters away, the next he was completely gone.

"Where is he!" The city defense commander leaned over the wall, peering in every direction.

Before it could search.

Li Zhengyang had already appeared right in the center of the Mad Demon Fortress's main gate.

He held his abyssal meteor dragon spear horizontally, aiming at the massive gate.

The blood energy of a 4th-Grade Martial Venerable was poured into the spear shaft without reservation.

[Trait Triggered: Ancient Dragon Power! Strength increased by 100%]

[Trait Triggered: Fatal Dragon Jaw! 100% Critical Hit]

[Trait Triggered: Dragon Tooth Armor Piercing! 80% Armor Penetration effect]

The dragon scale patterns on the spear shaft glowed blindingly bright in an instant.

The surrounding spiritual energy was drained dry, air pressure condensed at the spear tip, and time itself seemed to slow down at this moment.

Li Zhengyang stared at the gate before him and slowly spat out two words.

"Thunder Fall!"

BOOM!!!

Thunderous light exploded at the tip of the spear.

The abyssal meteor dragon spear struck the gate squarely.

"THUD!"

A dull, massive sound rang out, shaking the heavens.

The entire hundred-meter-high black stone wall shook violently.

On the city wall.

The commander, along with nearly a thousand Bone Demon soldiers in the front row, felt as if their brains had been struck by ten thousand great bells simultaneously.

"AH!!!"

The closest demons dropped their weapons on the spot and covered their ears tightly with both hands.

Black blood sprayed wildly from their eardrums.

That terrifying sonic shockwave shattered their brains directly.

The demons in the front row couldn't even stand steady and toppled off the hundred-meter-high city walls in droves.

The commander was bleeding from its seven orifices, lying on the ground and dry-heaving desperately.

It tried to crawl up in terror, only to find that the wall beneath its feet was still shaking violently.

That main gate, known as the absolute defense of the Mad Demon Fortress...

Had collapsed.

Under the violent armor penetration and 100% critical hit, the entire massive gate was shattered into pieces.

Outside the city.

Lei Hu held his warblade, stopping blankly halfway there.

The five hundred veterans following behind all had their mouths agape, their feet feeling as heavy as lead.

Dust filled the air and drilled straight into their nostrils, but no one coughed.

They stared at the vanished city gate, watching the iron filings and dust dancing in the air.

The hot-blooded fervor they had felt moments ago, ready to fight for their lives in the siege, was instantly frozen by the scene before them.

"What the hell..." Lei Hu swallowed, his tongue tied. "Where's the gate?"

"Did the Department Head... smash it to pieces with one strike?" Zhao Yi's hands also began to tremble.

Is this a war? This is a demolition squad!

At the base of the city wall.

Li Zhengyang landed on the ground, holding the abyssal meteor dragon spear in one hand.

He shook the spear shaft, feeling very satisfied with the destructive effect before him.

The smoke and dust gradually dissipated.

The scene inside the Mad Demon Fortress was directly exposed to the air.

Without the obstruction of the city gate, the hinterland that was supposed to be safe behind the gate was now completely wide open.

Tens of thousands of Bone Demon infantry, holding bone blades and heavy bone shields, had been fully prepared, intending to rush out and harvest the battlefield once the humans were exhausted from the siege.

Now, they were all frozen in place.

Tens of thousands of blood-red eyes stared blankly at the youth in black standing at the city gate.

The Bone Demons in the front row were still holding their shields in a defensive posture, the bone spikes on the shields still trembling.

The gate was gone.

They looked at Li Zhengyang, and Li Zhengyang looked at them.

The air fell into an eerie, deathly silence.

Li Zhengyang hoisted his dragon spear onto his shoulder and waved at the tens of thousands of Bone Demons.

"What are you all standing there for?"

"Leave your Demon Cores; I'm in a hurry."
