58: Chapter 58 The Great Changes in the World

Another five thousand years quietly slipped by.

If placed on that azure planet from Jiang Hao's memories,

five thousand years would be enough to witness the rise of civilization from slash-and-burn tribal societies to dynasties founded on bronze ritual music.

Then to the succession of Empires with their iron cavalry, and finally entry into the modern era of information explosion.

That was an epic of civilization, a leap for the species.

Yet, in this vast cultivation Universe, five thousand years sometimes amounts to nothing more than a slightly longer period of seclusion, an exploration of a Secret Realm,

or even just the time it takes for certain Paragon-level beings in forbidden zones to take a nap.

For the cultivation world, the scale of time is stretched very, very long.

However, these past five thousand years have seen immense changes for the Myriad Heavens.

Since Jiang Hao sorted out the Great Dao of Heaven and Earth five thousand years ago, the world's Origin, suppressed for nearly two hundred thousand years, seemed to finally break free from its last heavy shackle, beginning a rapid rejuvenation and growth.

The most direct sensation was the change in qi.

The vital essence between heaven and earth was no longer as thin as it was during The Dao-Deprived Era.

Now, in the Myriad Heavens, the vital essence of heaven and earth grows richer by the day.

At some ancient stellar ancestral veins and places where star rivers converge, spiritual energy has even condensed into a visible mist, gathering into flowing spirit rivers. In some blessed lands and cave heavens, it even rains spiritual energy.

The efficiency of a Cultivator's breathing and energy absorption is now many times higher than it was five thousand years ago!

Many old Cultivators, long stuck at a certain Realm and believing they had no hope for the rest of their lives, have now broken through naturally in this rich spiritual environment, shedding tears of joy and loudly proclaiming the arrival of a golden age.

Following this came changes to the Dao.

The Myriad Daos of Heaven and Earth were no longer as aloof and abstruse as in the past.

They had become much more approachable.

When Cultivators sought to comprehend the Great Dao, they could more clearly touch the veins of its Laws.

When breaking through major Realms, that intangible suppression from the Great Dao had weakened by more than half, no longer appearing as an insurmountable chasm.

As an old Sage once put it:

"Cultivating the Dao before was like groping for stones in muddy water. Now it's like watching fish in a clear stream. The fish are still the same fish, but the chance to see them clearly and catch them is much greater!"

What made all Cultivators ecstatic with joy were the changes in material things.

All kinds of heavenly materials, earthly treasures, and rare divine materials that had long gone extinct in the past Dao-Deprived Era and existed only in ancient texts and legends began sprouting up like bamboo shoots after rain throughout the cosmos.

A Cultivator gathering herbs in an ordinary valley unexpectedly discovered a Star Grass about to mature.

A Family, while developing a barren star, dug out a Void Stone the size of a human head from its core.

There were even those with Heaven-Defying Luck who, while drifting among the stars, stumbled into a newly formed vortex of Innate spiritual energy, receiving its baptism and undergoing a complete transformation.

The Era of Resource Explosion was well-deserving of its name.

Although competition remained fierce, even more brutal due to the greater stakes, the mere fact that there were things to fight over gave countless Cultivators hope and motivation.

In such a golden environment, a new generation replaced the old, and countless talented geniuses rose like stars, illuminating their respective eras and Star Domains.

In the Big Dipper Star Domain, a youth from an Ancient Clan, born in resonance with the Dao of Slaughter, achieved the Dao-Forging Realm through killing before the age of one hundred, defeating countless rivals of his generation. He was revered as the Little Heavenly Killing Star, his fearsome reputation spreading far and wide.

In Phoenix Realm, a descendant of the Phoenix with a Bloodline that had regressed to its ancestral Origins appeared out of nowhere. Upon just entering the Saint Realm, he could manipulate the Southern Brightness Departing Fire to boil seas and burn mountains. He was acclaimed as having the makings of an Emperor, shaking the entire Phoenix World.

In the depths of the starry river, a mysterious female Cultivator rose from humble Origins. No one knew her background, but the techniques she employed contained fragments of time, seemingly touching upon the forbidden Domain of time, making others both wary and yearning.

In Dragon Realm, a young dragon's cry shook the Nine Heavens; among the demon race, a Prodigy shook the world.

There were even Ancient Imperial Clans emerging, with the direct descendants of Ancient Emperors appearing to contend with the geniuses of this era.

This was a true era where a hundred flowers blossomed and a hundred boats raced.

Although everyone knew that high above the Nine Heavens, a Chaos Emperor already dominated the current age, his peak unattainable by anyone,

below the Emperor, that vast stage of the starry sky was still ample enough for these proud sons of heaven to gallop freely and write their own legends.

They competed for resources, clashed in their Daos, sparred and tested each other, stirring this recovering Universe into a state of vibrant vitality, yet also one filled with peril.

And among all the rising sects and heavenly prides, Dao Seeking Sect on the Ziwei Ancient Star, and its Genius hailed as the Little Chaos, were undoubtedly one of the most watched existences.

Dao Seeking Sect need not be elaborated upon—it was the Origin sect of Chaos Emperor Jiang Hao. After thousands of years of development, it had long been the undisputed premier Imperial Lineage of the Myriad Heavens.

The sect was filled with masters, its heritage complete, and it even had the Purple Tenuity Cauldron personally forged by the Emperor suppressing its fortune, its might unrivaled.

And the most outstanding Disciple of Dao Seeking Sect in this generation was named Chu Changge.

Chu Changge did not possess a special constitution; he was just an ordinary Disciple with passable bone structure.

But his temperament was resolute, his comprehension exceptionally high, and he had an almost obsessive dedication and unique understanding of the foundational chapters of the "Chaos Scripture" passed down by Jiang Hao.

He did not pursue the specific killing techniques within the scripture, but immersed himself in the fundamental concept of Chaos giving birth to all things and encompassing the myriad Daos.

He observed the birth and death of nebulae, contemplated the flow of Yin and Yang, watched the competition and flourishing of all things, and tried to interpret everything he saw and felt through the core philosophy of the "Chaos Scripture."

A century of arduous cultivation, several centuries of comprehending the Dao.

Chu Changge walked a path different from all others.

He did not Cultivate any earth-shattering Chaos phenomena or killing moves, but his Dao foundation was exceptionally solid.

The divine abilities he unleashed often encompassed all things, capable of naturally transforming according to an opponent's characteristics, like water without constant form, yet able to respond to and even counter them in the most suitable way.

He once fought that Little Heavenly Killing Star, using a Dao force of endless vitality and constant flux to quietly dissolve the other's sharp, peerless killing aura, ultimately achieving victory.

He also sparred with a demon race Prodigy, manifesting the Dao of water and fire complementing each other, holding his ground.

Most commendable was the trace of Dao resonance faintly emanating from Chu Changge, similar to that of the current Chaos Emperor.

Although he was far, far less powerful than the Emperor—not even one hundred-millionth—that embryonic form of all-encompassing capacity had moved countless older-generation powerhouses.

"This child has deeply grasped the true meaning of inclusiveness in the 'Chaos Scripture.' Although he is not a Chaos Body, he has walked his own path of all Laws returning to the source. Given time, it is not impossible for him to glimpse the threshold of the Emperor's Dao with his ordinary Physique!"

A Quasi-Emperor in seclusion from Origin Realm gave this evaluation.

Thus, the moniker "Little Chaos" gradually spread throughout the Myriad Heavens.

Chu Changge became one of the brightest banners among the Human Race's younger generation in this golden age, also carrying the hopes of countless people that even an ordinary Physique could defy the heavens.

Simultaneously, the power of Chaos Scripture shocked the world. Just gaining some comprehension of it could make one this powerful; what would happen with complete mastery?

Wouldn't that make one invincible among one's generation? Thus, a new wave of fervor for studying Chaos Scripture arose.

Of course, for every person who rose, there were others who lay dormant or fell. This era offered limitless opportunities, but its competition was equally cruel.

Every day, new names resounded, while old heavenly prides faded away.

But no matter what, these Myriad Heavens, accelerated in their recovery by Jiang Hao's own hand, were surging forward with unprecedented vitality and possibility.
