75: Chapter 75 America Acquires Alien Technology
In a secret laboratory in Area 51, United States.
Rogers looked at the professor in the white coat, who was leading five fully equipped individuals.
"After you enter the spaceship, you must be careful not to touch any machinery or equipment; just photograph the environment inside," Rogers reminded them.
The five scientists were exceptionally excited; they didn't seem to think they would die upon entering.
Even if they died, they were thrilled to die inside an aliens' spaceship.
Once ready, the five entered the laboratory and slowly walked towards the spaceship's hatch.
Rogers and a group of researchers watched the exploring scientists quietly through the glass.
Everyone's mood was quite tense at this moment; this was humanity's first exploration of the inside of a complete alien spaceship.
The professor in the white coat finally led the team into the alien spaceship's hatch.
What he saw was a bright passage extending inwards.
The white-coated professor held a real-time shooting device, broadcasting the interior footage to the outside world.
When the white-coated professor and the others entered the spaceship, Rogers looked at the giant screen beside him.
It was displaying real-time footage from inside the spaceship.
The passage was very bright, filled with a metallic feel everywhere, and on both sides of the passage, there were some switches and equipment, whose purpose was unknown.
The white-coated professor continued walking inwards and encountered some other hatches, but they were all closed, with opening devices next to them.
The five kept going deeper until a huge, brightly lit cabin appeared before their eyes.
The white-coated professor led the group in without a second thought.
Seeing the environment here, and the surrounding light screens, with a 3D image of the spaceship rotating on them.
The white-coated professor was so excited he couldn't close his mouth!
"This is! This is! This is the spaceship's control room! We actually came to the spaceship's control room!"
The white-coated professor and the others looked around the control room, recording and researching.
However, they dared not touch any machines or buttons.
Rogers also watched this scene in real-time from outside, and a scientist next to him reminded him:
"Mr. Minister, it seems there's no danger inside, no monsters or anything!"
Rogers was still uneasy and told the white-coated professor and his group to explore every accessible area inside.
Only the main control room and a cabin whose purpose was unclear were accessible.
Afterward, Rogers ordered the white-coated professor and the others to exit the spaceship.
He planned to go in and see for himself.
After the white-coated professor and his group safely exited the spaceship, it was basically confirmed that the spaceship's interior was not dangerous.
"Good, let our most excellent research personnel bring the most complete pulse emitter disassembled from other spaceships and follow me to investigate!"
According to decades of research, United States scientists found something in the wreckage.
They found a pulse device in the spaceship, similar to a short-range scanner or communicator.
This device could emit a pulse signal, and through research.
This pulse signal could activate the more complete laser weapons they had picked up from the wreckage.
The laser guns in the hands of the modified warriors earlier were technology that the United States had deciphered from these laser weapons.
Rogers led a group of scientists into the spaceship's interior.
They advanced along the passage and arrived at the command center.
Rogers was also shocked to see the actual interior of the alien spaceship.
Everywhere were light screens that could display images, not the low-level screens found on Earth.
Of course, the language on them was alien.
Rogers and the others could only slowly decipher the meaning of these languages by comparing them with some alien texts they had deciphered from the wreckage over the past decades.
"Turn on the pulse emitter and see what feedback the spaceship gives!" Rogers commanded.
Then two scientists carried in a device the size of a bucket.
After tinkering for a long time and connecting it to a special power source, the pulse emitter glowed blue.
It extinguished in just an instant.
Rogers nervously observed his surroundings, wondering if the spaceship would respond.
A few seconds later, the spaceship seemed to have truly received the signal.
A mechanical voice sounded, in an alien language, which Earthlings naturally couldn't understand.
[Matching signal source detected, activating spaceship control program.]
[Spaceship detected entry of unfamiliar human race, identified as native human race of this planet, communication possible.]
[Linking to planet network, deciphering this planet's language, deciphering in progress, deciphering successful.]
Rogers and many scientists listened nervously to these incomprehensible alien gibberish.
Just as they were utterly bewildered, suddenly, an Earth language they could understand sounded in the command center.
[Earth humans, I am the spaceship intelligent system of Mesolas Star, a registered planet of the Galaxy Interstellar Federation in the M36 star system of the Galaxy.]
[I need your help; the spaceship's energy is about to run out, and it urgently needs reactive materials for the energy reactor.]
Rogers was instantly thrilled to hear the Earth language coming from the spaceship; he boldly said:
"Uh, Mesolas Star's intelligent system, we can help you, but I have a request!"
[Speak, if it's within my authority, I can help you.]
Rogers was ecstatic; he was the first human to communicate with an alien intelligent system, this was a small step for him, but a giant leap for Earthlings!
"Intelligent system, we need technology, especially weapons; can you give us the manufacturing technology for the spaceship's weapons?" Rogers asked cautiously.
[My program contains the manufacturing technology and blueprints for all weapons on the spaceship, but my underlying law does not allow me to leak these technologies, so I cannot fulfill your request.]
Rogers frowned, why couldn't it be? They were already communicating with an alien intelligent system, why was it still not possible?
Just as Rogers was feeling extremely depressed, the spaceship intelligent system's voice sounded again.
[Although I cannot directly give you these technologies, I can give you some underlying calculation formulas, which involve your long-desired controllable nuclear fusion technology, high-energy light wave focusing technology, polymer material synthesis formulas...]
The intelligent system, in one go, stated many fundamental scientific formulas and underlying logic, enough to inspire the United States scientists.
Rogers' expression changed from gloomy to excited; it seemed there was always a way out!
