345: The flawed jade is the king (84).

In Chaos, there was only endless gloom and the howling, rampaging Chaos Qi. At every moment, the Chaos Qi devoured any living being that entered; no, not just living beings—Chaos sought to erase everything in existence.

Wang Yun's body drifted unconsciously in this deathly gloom, as if it could be swallowed up at any moment.

His Supreme Body, that once indestructible golden divine form immune to all techniques, was now emitting sounds of being overwhelmed from the inside out.

Fine cracks, like a spiderweb, began at his chest and rapidly spread to his limbs and bones.

From every crack, golden light escaped uncontrollably; that was the essence of his Supreme Body's Origin.

As soon as this essence left his body, it was instantly assimilated and devoured by the surrounding Chaos Qi.

The Chaos Qi was pervasive; it was not only destroying his Physical Body but also grinding away his Dao and laws, and eroding his Divine Soul imprint.

Wang Yun felt his consciousness blurring rapidly, his thoughts becoming sluggish as the threat of death loomed over him.

He tried to circulate the Saint Power within him to resist, but here, Saint Power was completely suppressed. The Saint King power he took pride in was utterly stifled, rendered useless.

A cold will, filled with endless greed and desire, quietly awakened from the deepest part of his body.

It was the will of the Indestructible Art.

It had been dormant for a long time, waiting for this very opportunity.

At Wang Yun's weakest moment, when his Divine Soul was on the verge of collapse, it finally revealed its intent.

A terrifying will, saturated with demonic thoughts, instantly took over his limbs, his Saint Body, and his everything.

That will was too terrifying; Wang Yun's Saint King strength was vulnerable before it. It directly attempted to erase Wang Yun's final Divine Soul imprint in the most brutal manner.

Wang Yun's remaining Divine Soul was squeezed into an insignificant corner of his Sea of Consciousness. He watched helplessly as his body was about to change masters, controlled by another will, yet he couldn't muster even a shred of strength to resist.

His heart was filled with despair and resentment.

At this critical moment, just as success or failure was about to be decided—

Buzz!

Deep within his Sea of Consciousness, that azure small tower, which had always remained silent as if it didn't exist, erupted with an unprecedentedly brilliant light without warning.

Beams of seemingly soft green light descended, yet they carried a powerful force capable of suppressing the ages and obliterating everything.

"It's the Green..."

Wherever the green light passed, the cold and arrogant will of the Indestructible Art let out a terrified shriek.

Under that green light, it was rapidly suppressed and dissolved, eventually being forced back into the depths of his body, falling into eternal silence once again.

The crisis was temporarily averted.

But before Wang Yun could catch his breath, this movement of the azure small tower seemed to touch upon some unknown existence deep within this Chaos.

It shared a faint resonance with something emanating an equally ancient, or perhaps even more powerful, aura.

Though this resonance was fleeting, it allowed Wang Yun to capture an extremely faint glimmer of life within the endless darkness.

The green light gradually faded, and the small tower returned to silence.

The violent Chaos Qi around him, no longer suppressed, surged back once more.

The threat of death descended again.

At this life-or-death juncture, the third Supreme Bone in Wang Yun's chest was passively activated.

A beam of nihilistic Light of the Epoch erupted from his chest.

The grey-white light contained the same power to erase all things as Chaos, forming a brief safe zone about three zhang in size.

Under the illumination of this grey-white light, a familiar figure appeared not far away.

It was Gu Zhan.

His condition was not much better than Wang Yun's. His burly Saint King body was also covered in terrifying cracks, his aura withered to the extreme. Clearly, he had also been struggling in this Chaos for a long time and was on the verge of being completely devoured.

The Light of the Epoch was like a torch lit in the darkness, forcibly awakening him from the brink of being consumed.

Gu Zhan opened his clouded eyes and saw Wang Yun, who was also on the verge of collapse.

Without any hesitation, he forced his already broken body to move and arrived at Wang Yun's side with great difficulty.

He extended a calloused palm and pressed it against the center of Wang Yun's back, continuously channeling what little Saint Power remained in his body to stabilize Wang Yun's injuries.

However, in this Chaos that could obliterate everything, the effect of Saint Power was negligible.

As soon as his Saint Power entered Wang Yun's body, it was worn away by the pervasive Chaos Qi, serving no purpose at all.

Gu Zhan's expression became incredibly solemn.

He made a final decision.

"Boom!"

A violent roar echoed from within Gu Zhan's body.

He began to burn his own Origin.

Strands of extremely pure Primordial Qi surged from his body, transforming into the most fundamental life force, which was forcibly injected into Wang Yun's nearly shattered Saint Body.

This was a life-for-life trade.

As his Origin rapidly drained away, Gu Zhan's aura weakened precipitously.

His burly frame began to shrivel, his black hair quickly turned grey, and a thick Death Qi appeared on his face.

His life was nearing its end.

But he had no regrets.

He firmly believed that since this youth had gained his master's recognition, he carried his master's will.

He could die, but this youth could not.

"Live on, carry the master's will."

This was his final obsession.

Under the support of Gu Zhan's Origin at any cost, Wang Yun's nearly dissipating Divine Soul finally regained a sliver of clarity.

He struggled to open his eyes and instantly understood everything that had happened.

Wang Yun wanted to stop him, but found he didn't even have the strength to move a finger.

Just then, the azure small tower in his Sea of Consciousness throbbed faintly again.

Through this throb, he felt a weak connection with something deep within the Chaos.

There lay the only path to survival.

Wang Yun forcibly mobilized the last shred of power in his body, ignoring the agonizing backlash as if his Supreme Bone were about to split, and performed a Divine Ability once more.

"Myriad Things Born!"

A jade-green Divine Vine, only as thick as an arm, grew with great difficulty from behind him.

The Divine Vine coiled around the dying, unconscious Gu Zhan and dragged him toward the direction of the sensation, moving laboriously through the endless Chaos.

Performing a Divine Ability within Chaos was immensely draining for Wang Yun.

With every step forward, he felt as if his Divine Soul were being torn apart.

But he did not give up; he knew that once he stopped, he would be completely destroyed.

He didn't know how much time had passed, but just as his strength was about to be completely exhausted and his consciousness blurred again—

He finally saw it.

Deep within the endless, gloomy Chaos, there was a massive orb of light emitting a soft glow.

It floated there quietly, and as the violent Chaos Qi approached it, it was pushed aside by an invisible force, forming an absolute safe zone.

Hope was right before him.

Wang Yun exhausted his very last shred of strength.

He violently urged the Divine Vine, thrusting both himself and Gu Zhan's body toward that orb of light.

In the next moment, their figures were swallowed by the soft light, completely disappearing from this deathly Chaos.
