31: Chapter 31 The Joy of Family

Half an hour later.

On the sofa, Bai Shiwei's clothes were half-undone, her shoes and socks lay on the floor, and her hands were held tight by Fang Zhuo.

"I was wrong, Hubby~"

"No more~ Mmhmm~"

"Is that so?"

Fang Zhuo's breathing was rapid; he had no intention of letting Bai Shiwei go, because even though his wife said that, her legs wrapped around him with even more force, like a python.

After their intimate encounter.

They each took a shower and immediately headed toward The Fang Family home.

Fang Zhuo had awakened a Martial Aspect, broken through to become an Intermediate Martial Artist, and signed a contract with Shanhe Martial Arts Hall for an annual salary of one million; he hadn't shared these joys with his family yet.

Now that he was free today, naturally, he had to take Bai Shiwei back for a visit.

"Hubby, since you've awakened a Martial Aspect, Mom and Dad will definitely be happy. And Grandpa—the old man will probably go out and find work again, striving for another ten years."

"If you ask me, since we've both awakened Martial Aspects, we can do some part-time work to maintain our cultivation in the future. It's time to let our parents and Grandpa worry less."

Bai Shiwei had changed into a light yellow dress, her legs looking proud and shapely, and she wore a pair of off-white high heels. After being nourished, she looked even more alluring.

She linked her arm with Fang Zhuo's and tilted her head, saying:

"Last time when I awakened my Martial Aspect, Grandpa gave all his pension to you to buy cultivation resources for me. Sigh, come to think of it, it would have been better if you had awakened your Martial Aspect first."

"It would certainly save our parents some trouble, especially Dad, whose work as a sparring partner is very tiring. However, if the old man has the heart for it and really goes out to work, that would be better than lying flat at home all day, indulging in those young wife games."

Fang Zhuo smiled.

Most Martial Artists can live healthily until they are 120 years old; in the Federation, which Martial Artist doesn't work until 80 before retiring? The old man is only 69, and he retired even earlier to spend his days obsessed with games.

If it weren't for the large sum of money Grandma left him, his retirement would be a problem.

"...Having a hobby is quite normal; after all, Grandma passed away early."

Bai Shiwei blinked her beautiful eyes.

Mingyue Residential Community, The Fang Family home.

Learning that her son and daughter-in-law were coming back, Li Ru specifically took a half-day off and went to the mall in the afternoon to buy a large pile of groceries.

She was busy in the kitchen at this moment.

When it was time for dinner, Fang Wu hurried back home, his black martial arts uniform soaked with sweat, sticking to his body in wrinkles.

"Old man, you're back?"

"Today Fang Zhuo said there's another surprise for us. What do you guess it is?"

"A surprise?"

Fang Wu was stunned for a moment, his voice sounding slightly exhausted as he said, "Maybe the daughter-in-law has had a major breakthrough in her cultivation?"

Bai Shiwei awakened the Heaven-Swallowing Python, which ranks third among the Superior Martial Aspects. Last time they came back, the old man and he had given a total of 3.3 million. After using those resources, it wouldn't be strange for her to have made significant progress.

"When this young couple returned before, Shi Wei was already an Intermediate Martial Artist at Life Level 21. After spending so much money, I wonder what level she could have reached?"

Li Ru felt a bit of heartache: "If she hasn't gained 2-3 levels, I feel like it was a huge loss."

For an Intermediate Martial Artist at levels 23-24, finding a normal job in the rear of Blue Star, a salary of 30,000 to 50,000 is the absolute limit.

"You're short-sighted."

Fang Wu knew what his wife was thinking and said in a deep voice, "A Superior Martial Aspect, and it's the Heaven-Swallowing Python; it won't be difficult for her to become an Advanced Martial Artist within three to five years."

"Don't look at the large consumption for this moment."

"Once she becomes an Advanced Martial Artist, even if she stays on Blue Star and doesn't go to Origin Star for adventures, an annual salary of one million is very easy. By then, everything will be earned back."

"That's true."

Hearing about an annual salary of one million, Li Ru couldn't suppress the corners of her mouth, and her hands washing the vegetables seemed to gain more energy. After a while, she smiled: "It's a pity it's the daughter-in-law; if it were our son, it would be even more perfect!"

"Just be happy secretly. This kid has good luck; he picked up such a wife on a blind date. His several cousins are all very envious."

Fang Wu thought of the last family gathering. When talking about the younger generation with his brothers and mentioning Fang Zhuo, there was a chorus of sighs at the dinner table.

"What do you mean good luck?"

Li Ru was unhappy and glared, saying: "Is our son bad? Our son is also a man of talent, and his martial arts talent isn't bad either; he just didn't awaken a Martial Aspect."

"Right, right, right, your son is the best."

Fang Wu didn't want to argue with his wife.

"Did I say anything wrong? Fang Zhuo has achieved Body Micro-Control. Can you do that? His grandmother only achieved that when she became an Advanced Martial Artist!"

Li Ru stood with her hands on her hips, lifting her chin and glancing sideways at Fang Wu.

Fang Wu was speechless and had to admit that Fang Zhuo's comprehension was indeed good and his Body Control had reached Micro-Perception early on, but without awakening a Martial Aspect, it was all ultimately for nothing.

Before long.

Li Ru had cooked a big table full of dishes, and the room was overflowing with fragrance.

Fang Zhuo's younger siblings, Fang Hu and Fang Jing, also returned home together after school.

"Xiao Jing, call your brother and ask where he and your sister-in-law are." Li Ru wiped her hands on her apron.

"Okay, Mom."

Fang Jing took out her phone and dialed.

Just then, the door lock turned, and Fang Zhuo and Bai Shiwei walked in.

"You came just in time, Shi Wei, wash your hands and get ready to eat~!"

Li Ru walked out of the kitchen, looking at Bai Shiwei with a beaming smile, and helped take the bags from her hands, saying: "It's enough that you came; why bring things?"

Fang Zhuo felt helpless.

Who is the biological child, anyway?

Why doesn't she care about me...

Bai Shiwei pursed her lips and shook her head quickly: "I'll do it, Mom, it's just some fruit."

"You child."

Li Ru was satisfied in her heart. This daughter-in-law had awakened a Superior Martial Aspect, yet she didn't put on any airs at all, and it seemed her relationship with her son was also very good.

"Fang Hu, don't just stand there, go call your grandfather."

"Forget it, let your big brother go."

Fang Zhuo understood, smiled, and replied: "Alright, I'll go."

Fang Zhuo strode into the study.

Sure enough, the image on the large screen was somewhat risqué. The old man, Fang Dawei, was wearing a virtual helmet, his face red and flushed as he was immersed in the game world.

"It's not 'Stalker'?"

"It looks like a new game..."

Fang Zhuo muttered, cleared his throat, and said: "Grandpa, it's time to eat."

"Fang Zhuo?"

Fang Dawei took off his helmet, smacked his lips, feeling a bit unsatisfied.

"When did you get back?"

At the dinner table.

The atmosphere in Fang Family was pleasant.

The old man took the lead as usual, having everyone clink glasses together, saying it was to celebrate Bai Shiwei becoming an Advanced Martial Artist soon.

After three rounds of drinks, Fang Wu's face was slightly flushed, but he remained composed.

Li Ru, however, couldn't help it. She put down her chopsticks and looked at Fang Zhuo: "Son, what about the surprise you mentioned? Stop keeping us in suspense."

"Is it that Shi Wei had a breakthrough in her cultivation?"

Fang Zhuo was just wondering which to say first.

Bai Shiwei also couldn't hold it back anymore. She gently pinched Fang Zhuo under the table and said softly: "It's not me, it's Fang Zhuo."

"Fang Zhuo?"

Li Ru looked at her son in confusion.

"Could it be?"

Fang Wu lifted his wine glass, his back straightening subconsciously.

"My eldest grandson..."

Fang Dawei's eyes flashed with some anticipation. Given Fang Zhuo's temperament and comprehension, if he had truly awakened a Martial Aspect, he might actually have a chance to move to the Moon Star.

"Fang Zhuo has awakened a Martial Aspect, his Life Level has surged to 21, he is already an Intermediate Martial Artist, and yesterday he signed a coach job with Shanhe Martial Arts Hall with a monthly salary of 80,000."

Bai Shiwei said it all in one breath.

Fang Family members were all stunned.
