35: Chapter 35: Surprise Attack, Gu Ming Appears

Shanhe Martial Arts Hall.

In the parking lot in front of the building, a spacious SUV came to a steady stop. The door opened, and Manager Tang Lan was the first to step out.

"Senior Brother Wang."

"We have arrived. Fang Zhuo works here."

Manager Tang Lan helped steady the door and leaned over to look inside the car.

She had called Fang Zhuo earlier but couldn't get through. She didn't know what he was busy with, but she hoped to find him at the Shanhe Martial Arts Hall.

"Alright."

Wang Jinhua stepped out of the car and strode forward, heading straight into the lobby of the Shanhe Martial Arts Hall.

Manager Tang Lan followed closely behind him.

"Hello, we are from the Starry Sky Group. We have some business with Fang Zhuo. Could you please help us contact him?"

"Looking for Coach Fang?"

The receptionist was very young, looking to be in her early twenties. Her expression was suspicious as she asked, "Do you have identification? May I ask what this is about?"

Manager Tang Lan looked slightly displeased.

Wang Jinhua, however, took the initiative to produce his credentials.

"Starry Sky Group, Transcendent Martial Artist?!"

The receptionist gasped aloud, covering her mouth with her small hand, staring blankly at the young man before her.

"Is that sufficient?"

After waiting for a moment, Wang Jinhua asked with a smile.

"Oh, right. I will contact him for you immediately." The receptionist immediately dialed the landline in Fang Zhuo's lounge using the internal line.

...

On the eighth floor of the Shanhe Martial Arts Hall, inside a VIP conference room.

Four people were seated around a round table. On the left were Wang Jinhua and Manager Tang Lan, and on the right were Fang Zhuo and Manager Zhao.

Manager Zhao had naturally been called over by Fang Zhuo.

A Transcendent Martial Artist from the Starry Sky Martial Artist Group had arrived with an unclear purpose. Although it was likely due to his Martial Aspect, it was unlikely there was any malice.

But one could not be without a defensive heart.

Besides, he currently had a labor contract with the Shanhe Martial Arts Hall, and meeting with other large martial arts groups meant he should at least inform his immediate superior.

"Fang Zhuo?"

Wang Jinhua wore a faint smile, his gaze burning as he looked at Fang Zhuo, completely ignoring Manager Zhao.

"Yes, how should I address you?"

"My name is Wang Jinhua. I am a few years older than you. You can call me Brother Wang, or just by my name."

Wang Jinhua was very polite.

But Manager Zhao, sitting beside Fang Zhuo, felt bitter inside. He had no objection to Wang Jinhua ignoring him, nor did he dare to have any—how did this great deity end up being lured here?

Was the Starry Sky Group's top Transcendent Martial Artist really here for Fang Zhuo?

It was just a Superior Martial Aspect, surely that couldn't be it?

"Brother Wang, you are looking for me..."

Fang Zhuo asked, his gaze occasionally sweeping over Manager Tang Lan beside Wang Jinhua. He had a deep impression of this woman; she had represented the Starry Sky Martial Arts Hall to recruit people at the school's job fair.

Manager Tang Lan's appearance here also indicated that she had brought the person.

It was likely because of his Martial Aspect.

"I represent the Starry Sky Martial Artist Group in inviting you to join us. Please take a look at this S-Class Genius Contract."

Wang Jinhua did not beat around the bush, nor did he avoid the fact that a manager from the Shanhe Martial Arts Hall was present.

"..."

Manager Zhao felt like vomiting. This Wang Jinhua clearly didn't consider him a person. Who poached talent so brazenly in front of someone? It was truly overbearing!

Damn it, if he had known it was Wang Jinhua, he wouldn't have come.

"This..."

Fang Zhuo was also stunned. So direct? Manager Zhao was still right there...

"Fang Zhuo, I have something to attend to. Handle this as you see fit. Don't worry, the labor contract you signed with the martial arts hall does not affect signing a genius contract with other martial artist groups."

Manager Zhao's smile was somewhat stiff as he patted Fang Zhuo on the shoulder and strode out.

As soon as he stepped outside, Secretary Jin walked up to him.

"Manager Zhao?"

"It's nothing."

Manager Zhao forced a smile and waved his hand. "We underestimated Fang Zhuo's potential. The Superior Martial Aspect he awakened is likely one of the top two."

"That high?"

Secretary Jin said in surprise, "Did he tell the people from the Starry Sky Group?"

Manager Zhao shook his head. "No."

"But the Starry Sky Martial Artist Group sent Wang Jinhua personally and offered an S-Class Genius Contract. You should know what that represents."

"Wang Jinhua?!"

Secretary Jin gasped.

If they were offering an S-Class Genius Contract, it was likely true.

If Fang Zhuo had awakened one of the top two Martial Aspects, plus his innate talent in Body Control, obtaining an S-Class Genius Contract was within reason.

"Then shouldn't we try to compete for him? Are we just going to let Fang Zhuo go to the Starry Sky Group?"

"How can we compete?"

Manager Zhao spread his hands. "They sent Wang Jinhua personally. Besides, I don't have the authority to introduce an S-Class Genius to the group headquarters; it requires a seven-day application."

"What a pity..."

Secretary Jin was somewhat unwilling, but had to accept it. By the time their process was finished, the person would have already been signed away.

"That Manager Huang from the Starry Sky Martial Arts Hall really has a nose like a dog. He probably saw the special nature of Fang Zhuo's Martial Aspect back at the job fair."

Manager Zhao sighed with emotion. He had also had suspicions at the time, believing that Fang Zhuo had awakened one of the top two Superior Martial Aspects, but unfortunately, he hadn't dared to be certain.

After all, Superior Martial Aspects were awakened from time to time.

But the two top-ranked Martial Aspects were simply too rare. With a population of billions in the Xia Kingdom, it was unlikely that even a few appeared each year.

...

Meanwhile.

Tengfei Martial Arts Hall.

After Manager He Chang finished his business with his female secretary, he was rushing downstairs.

"Have the procedures been prepared in advance?"

"I mentioned it to all departments yesterday. I guarantee it won't delay Coach Chen's time."

The female secretary walked with some awkwardness.

In front of the building.

The two did not wait long.

A young man wearing a black and red martial uniform with a crew cut strode over.

The person who arrived was none other than Chen Ping, a graduate of the Demon Capital Martial Arts University. Despite his young age, he was already a Level 31 Advanced Martial Artist with a Body Micro-Control limit, and his combat power multiplier was as high as 8!

"Manager He, Secretary Lan, sorry to keep you waiting."

Chen Ping's tone was gentle, but his eyes were wandering everywhere, not putting the two people before him in his eyes at all.

"It is only right."

Manager He Chang was not annoyed. It was perfectly normal for such a true genius to be arrogant.

"You are a special guest coach. You can arrange your classes as you like in the future. If you need anything, feel free to tell me at any time."

Manager He Chang even apologized with a smile, his posture extremely low.

Chen Ping's eyes held a smile. Just as he was about to brush them off with a few words, a shrill air raid siren suddenly sounded, sharper than the previous two.

"Level 1 alert?"

"Gu Ming escaped the pursuit?!" Chen Ping's eyes narrowed slightly. This madman had said he wanted to kill geniuses to prove his path. Damn it, wasn't he in danger now?

Almost at that very instant, his Martial Aspect 'Gray Wolf' sensed danger, and Chen Ping felt an inexplicable palpitation.

Without hesitation, Chen Ping opened his tactical watch and instantly locked onto a green dot on the map.

The Superior Martial Aspect 'Gray Wolf', emerge!

In an instant, in the stunned eyes of Manager He Chang and the female secretary, Chen Ping's muscles expanded a size, and his black and red martial uniform was torn apart.

Chen Ping got down on all fours, and his figure shot out violently.

A few seconds later.

At the spot where Chen Ping had been standing, a shadow squirmed, and a burly man leaped down from a high place.

This person was two meters tall, with bronze-colored skin, looking just like a giant.

"Gu Ming!"

The name of this alien powerhouse surfaced in Manager He Chang's heart. After killing Cao Yi, this madman had already been wanted.

"Clever guy, you ran pretty fast. However, there are no Flying Martial Artists in this city. Let's see who can stop me?"

Gu Ming leaped up in one bound and landed dozens of meters away, his two-meter-tall, massive body surprisingly agile.
