125: Parasitic Breaking Formation

The disintegration of the Zhou Tian Star Array was not silent.

It was a catastrophic symphony on the scale of the Universe.

The billions of starlight pillars supporting the Formation map were like giant trees with their Foundations severed, emitting a teeth-grinding groan of fracture, before instantly transforming into billions of uncontrolled, violent torrents of energy, splashing and exploding in all directions!

The massive, three-dimensional Formation structure shattered inch by inch, like a broken dome of glazed glass, slowly collapsing and annihilating with the remaining might of the stars.

This Star Domain, shrouded by the Formation, instantly turned into a purgatory of energy.

Fragments of stars, turbulent Laws, unburnt starlight, and... the omnipresent, sparkling dark golden spore clouds intertwined into a bizarre painting where destruction and rebirth coexisted.

The Star Palace Cultivators bore the brunt of it.

Those Cultivators relying on the Formation nodes, who were fully maintaining the Formation, could not react in time; they were swallowed by the backlash energy of their own Formation, torn to pieces by the violent turbulent starlight, or had the nearby exploding spore clouds land on them, turning into nutrients for the spores amidst shrill screams.

Panic spread like a plague among the remnants of the Star Palace fleet.

Having lost the protection and enhancement of the Formation, they were like lambs exposed to a pack of wolves; their Formations were in chaos, fighting individually. Many star ships even collided in their panic to avoid explosions and spore clouds, triggering even greater chaos.

"Steady! Form the Small Zhou Tian Formation!"

"Defend! Prioritize defending against those golden spores!"

"Retreat! Regroup the lines!"

Star Palace commanders at all levels shouted until their voices were hoarse, attempting to rally the routed troops.

However, their orders appeared so pale and powerless in the face of absolute chaos and fear.

Even more terrifying was that the disintegrating fragments of the Formation map, as well as the starlight magic power dissipated when the Star Palace Cultivators routed, were an unprecedented gluttonous feast for the [Star Dust Spore Cloud]!

The spore cloud seemed to possess a collective consciousness, like a hungry swarm of locusts, actively pouncing on the areas with the most concentrated energy!

They ignored the shields of the star ships (even able to slowly erode and penetrate them), ignored the Spell bombardments of the Cultivators (the magic power instead became food), and crazily attached, devoured, and assimilated!

A star sword Formation, hastily formed and hosted by a Nascent Soul Cultivator, had just lit up with brilliant light, but the next second it was submerged by the surging spore cloud. The sword light quickly dimmed, and the host Cultivator, along with the Formation Flag, were devoured completely within a few breaths!

A large star ship attempting to initiate space jump to escape had its engine overload and explode with massive energy, which was like a lighthouse in the darkness, attracting the spore clouds from a radius of ten thousand li to swarm over. In an instant, it was wrapped into a huge, constantly wriggling golden insect cocoon; the roar of the engine stopped abruptly, leaving only the hair-raising, subtle sound of gnawing!

Parasitism! Disintegration! Assimilation!

Wherever the spore cloud passed, the stars dimmed, magic power perished, and all things were silenced.

They were not just destroying, but performing a terrifying "energy conversion," turning the starlight might accumulated by the Star Palace over ten thousand years into resources for their own proliferation and expansion!

Mo Yuan stood before the command console, the light screen clearly displaying the hellish scene outside.

His eyes were as cold as iron, and his Divine Sense operated with unprecedented efficiency, like the most brilliant chess player, manipulating this invisible slaughter.

"Spore cloud cluster G7, spread to the third star ship cluster on the left flank."

"Cluster K12, concentrate on eroding that flagship attempting to construct a temporary Formation Eye."

"Pay attention to avoiding the self-destruct areas with high energy reactions, prioritize devouring the dissipated magic power and Formation Foundation fragments."

He issued precise and cold commands through the mental imprints left in the spore cores in advance.

Although these spores had lost control and proliferated, their lowest-level commands of "devouring starlight energy" and "destroying orderly structures" remained under his control.

The speed of the Star Palace's collapse far exceeded expectations.

They were accustomed to crushing enemies with overwhelming momentum and absolute power; when had they ever encountered such a bizarre "natural disaster" that was pervasive and grew the more it was fought?

Their Formations, their Magic Treasures, their cultivation levels—at this moment, all became catalysts accelerating their own demise!

"Monsters! These are all monsters!"

"Run! Run quickly!"

"Elder, save me!"

Desperate wails and collapsing screams were transmitted intermittently to Mo City through the remaining communication channels, outlining a doomsday-like scene.

The once arrogant Star Palace army that suppressed the Star Sea was now being devoured and disintegrated, step by step, by the cloud of destruction "nurtured" by their own starlight!

Mo Yuan slowly raised that still-weak Thunder God Arm, his fingertips sliding across the light screen, locking onto several Star Palace flagships that seemed to have Soul Transformation Cultivators sitting in command, still struggling to support and attempting to organize a counterattack.

"Thunderwood Ghost General, hear my order."

"Lead all Yellow Springs Ferrymen and attack."

"Target: Those final nails."

"Send them... to merge into this star dust."

The soul fire in the eye sockets of the Thunderwood Ghost General standing behind him flared violently. It nodded slightly, its figure flickered, and it had already turned into a ghostly shadow, merging into the shadows.

Dozens of Yellow Springs Ferrymen followed closely behind, like reapers returned from Hell, silently slipping out of Mo City and pouncing on the starlight still putting up a desperate fight outside.

The true slaughter had only just begun.

The Star Palace's all-out attack had already evolved into a... feast of parasitic destruction aimed at themselves.

And Mo Yuan was the sole host of the banquet.
