217: High-dimensional trauma
The silver-gray metal giant hand hung silently in the higher-dimensional Void Realm, its outline slightly distorted and trembling due to the intense logical conflict within.
The viscous "liquid" seeping from the cracks at the joints of its fingertips and palm, shimmering with ominous blue data points, flowed slowly like a living creature. Everywhere it passed, even the cold nothingness was "polluted," rippling out in ever-expanding areas of chaotic colors and scrambled code.
[Logical error leading to program disorder]!
The slash from the Blade of Paradox, which ignored Karma, had precisely struck the most fatal weak point in the vast operating System of the "World Engine"—the absolute logical chain it relied on to maintain all order!
That blue "blood" was not biological fluid, but a highly condensed mixture of out-of-control Laws and erroneous data!
It was an "abnormal process" forced to overflow because the System's core program could not handle the chain of contradictions triggered by the "patricide paradox"!
The giant hand silently endured this internal trauma.
The profound runes on its surface, which had originally appeared and vanished with rhythmic regularity and flowed ceaselessly, had now become incredibly chaotic.
Some flickered wildly with blinding brightness; others went completely dim, like burnt-out circuits; still others collided and clashed with one another, sparking dangerous, tiny spatial rifts!
It attempted to repair itself.
Streams of silver-gray light, composed of pure data, surged from deeper within the giant hand like the System's self-healing program, attempting to cover and clean the blue "wounds" and repair the scrambled runes.
However, the power of the paradox was like the most stubborn virus.
After the data light streams passed, the blue polluted areas were only temporarily suppressed, soon rebounding with even greater ferocity, even staining parts of the repair light streams with that ominous blue!
The error was spreading, the disorder was intensifying!
This confrontation between self-repair and error rebound triggered a series of deeper, invisible "logical storms" within the giant hand.
Han Li (Mo Yuan) lay paralyzed on the cold floor of the ark's main control room, coughing up mouthfuls of black blood. His Divine Soul felt as if it were being pierced by billions of ice needles due to the backlash of the paradox, but his bloodshot eyes, exhausted from overexertion, stared fixedly at the struggling metal giant hand outside the porthole, his mouth curling into a twisted smile mixed with pain and extreme pleasure.
He saw it!
That absolutely powerful, god-like creation was not invulnerable!
It could also "bleed," it could also feel "pain," and it could also fall into chaos due to "errors" it could not comprehend!
This proved that his path was correct!
Logical weapons were the most effective means to combat this cold System!
However, this "success" did not bring safety, but a more fatal crisis.
A wounded beast caught in logical disorder was often even more... dangerous and unpredictable!
After several failed self-repair attempts, the metal giant hand seemed to determine that standard cleanup protocols could no longer effectively handle the current anomaly.
The chaotic data stream within it suddenly stalled, then immediately began to operate in a more violent, cost-ignoring mode!
It no longer attempted to precisely repair the blue wounds, but began to... forcibly excise them!
Hiss, hiss, hiss—!
On the surface of the giant hand, those areas most severely contaminated by the blue, along with the "structures" beneath them, were directly "excised" and "discarded" by a brutal force!
Large clumps of shimmering blue erroneous data and shattered Law fragments were flung into the higher-dimensional Void Realm like rotting flesh, where they silently annihilated in the chaotic environment.
This crude "excision" clearly imposed a huge burden; the overall silver-gray luster of the giant hand dimmed significantly, but the blue pollution on its surface was indeed temporarily cleared, and the chaotic runes also temporarily regained stability (though their quantity was greatly reduced).
Immediately afterward, the giant hand that had just completed its "painful surgery" suddenly raised itself!
Its movements no longer possessed their previous precision and elegance, but carried a programmatic... violent trembling and lack of coordination that had not fully faded due to the logical error!
Its five fingers twisted, like an out-of-control robotic arm, suddenly clawing at the surrounding Void Realm!
Rumble, rumble, rumble!!!
An indescribably terrifying roar exploded outside the ark!
The Void Realm reached by the giant hand was easily torn apart like a fragile canvas!
Countless pitch-black spatial rifts appeared out of thin air, spreading wildly, spewing forth even more violent, more primitive dimensional storms and chaotic data streams!
It seemed to be venting the unquenchable logical conflict within through this destructive behavior, or rather... it was attempting to indirectly eliminate the "anomaly itself" by destroying the "anomalous environment"!
The higher-dimensional Void Realm, though originally chaotic, had possessed its own internal order, but now it had completely turned into a vortex of destruction!
In this sudden storm, the ark was tossed to and fro like a lone boat in a raging sea!
The hull groaned with a teeth-grinding sound, the cracks in the outer armor expanded further, and the energy readings that had just barely stabilized began to sound frantic alarms again!
"Warning! Encountering ultra-high-intensity spatial storm!" "Structural integrity dropped to 19%!" "Energy shields overloaded! Imminent collapse!"
The piercing alarm pulled Han Li (Mo Yuan) back from his brief moment of pleasure to the cruel reality.
He struggled to maneuver the ark to evade, but his severely injured body and consciousness, which was on the verge of collapse, could barely input effective commands.
The ark could only drift with the current in the destructive storm, relying on its remaining instincts and its (relatively) sturdy hull; every violent jolt felt as if it would completely disintegrate the next second!
And that metal giant hand, now in a semi-out-of-control state, continued to wildly tear at the Void Realm, creating more rifts and storms.
In its "gaze" that occasionally swept over the ark, besides the cold lock-on, there seemed to be an additional sense of chaotic... "fury" based on logical errors!
The zeroing engine had not yet been forged, and the ark was already on the verge of destruction!
The higher-dimensional trauma had enraged the shepherd.
And the ant-like ark was bearing the brunt of it.
Life and death hung by a thread.
