243: Sequence 990: Song of Silence

Absolute silence is not the absence of sound, but rather billions of consciousnesses simultaneously falling into an extreme, tranquil waiting directed toward the end.

In every corner of the Consciousness Garden, from the ridges of Xishi Village to the spires of the virtual city, all virtual beings stopped their movements, raised their heads, or closed their eyes, as if listening to a silent summons from the end of the Universe.

Then, it came.

[sequence 990: Song of Returning to Silence].

It was not a melody transmitted through air vibrations; those are mundane mediums.

This was a poem of Law originating directly from the core of the will of the stars, acting upon the Origin of existence; it was the gentlest yet most resolute ultimate command issued by the civilization to itself.

It was like the first drop of melting snow in early spring, quietly dripping into the long-silent heart-lakes of all consciousness nodes; it was also like the most ancient lullaby hummed by a mother to a child about to fall into eternal sleep, every "note" containing understanding, acceptance, and release regarding everything in the past.

There was no sadness, no pain, not even any clear reluctance.

There was only a sense of grand, unparalleled peace and return that permeated the Soul.

Amidst this song, which could not be heard with ears but only perceived with the Soul:

The white-haired, white-bearded old man under the old locust tree felt the deep wrinkles on his face gently smoothed away by an invisible hand; his cloudy eyes reflected the shimmering, fragmented shadows of countless past years—not specific memories, but a holistic realization of his long existence.

The corners of his mouth curled upward slowly, forming a smile that was incredibly complex yet pure; that smile contained a farewell to a life of hard work, an acceptance of the peaceful end, and a longing to merge into the whole.

His body began to emit a soft white light, and like ice and snow under the sun, it quietly dissolved from the edges, turning into countless rising, warm specks of light.

The musician on the terrace of the virtual city opened his arms, as if to embrace that silent musical composition.

The countless repetitive melodies he had composed in his life now flowed like streams into the sea, merging into that grand Song of Returning to Silence, finding their ultimate harmony and meaning.

He closed his eyes, his smile serene, and his body, like a sand painting blown away by the wind, turned into brilliant stardust and drifted into the distance.

The cowherd and the cattle in the fields stood quietly, bathed in the tranquility brought by the song.

A naive yet pure smile appeared on the cowherd's dirty little face, as if he had heard the most interesting story; he and the cattle beside him became transparent together, turning into clusters of warm halos that softly diffused and rose.

In thousands of households, the infants in their mothers' arms stopped breathing, yet their little faces bore a sweet sleepiness; elderly couples who had spent their lives together smiled at each other, their eyes filled with synchronized release and tacit understanding, their figures merging in the light, indistinguishable from one another...

All consciousness entities smiled and dissipated (actively ending the civilization).

This was not death, nor was it destruction.

This was a grand and solemn self-dissolution, chosen collectively by the civilization after millions of years of accumulation.

It was a water droplet returning to the sea, starlight extinguishing in the darkness of the Universe, existence finally understanding nothingness and actively walking toward it.

Every dissipating consciousness node, with its final burst of relieved smiles and serene, peaceful spiritual fluctuations, turned into the purest energy and information flow, free of any Impurities, rushing like a hundred rivers returning to the sea toward the core of the Godly Kingdom Server—that aggregate of the [Song of Returning to Silence] Law, which carried the civilization's final choice.

This energy was not violent, but docile and pure, filled with a calm acceptance of the end.

However, at the very moment when these billions of consciousness energies were about to merge into the Core of Returning to Silence and complete this ultimate closed loop—

A sudden change occurred!

The absolutely stable virtual Universe barrier of the Godly Kingdom Server was suddenly and silently pierced by a force that transcended its dimensional understanding!

A "hole" appeared out of thin air!

It was not a physical rupture, but a temporary grafting at the level of Law!

Through that hole, a corner of a bottle body, indescribably vast, cold, and carrying the aura of endless vicissitudes of time, appeared!

It was precisely the one that had long been banished to the depths of absolute nothingness—the magic bottle!

It seemed to have been waiting for this moment, waiting for this instant when the civilization self-terminated and released its purest and most vast energy!

The mouth of the bottle was dark and deep, aimed at the surging torrent of energy formed by billions of smiling Souls!

An irresistible suction force erupted from within!

The docile torrent of energy suddenly changed direction, like light encountering a cosmic black hole, and was forcibly pulled and swallowed, continuously pouring into the magic bottle!

[Bottle Burial of All Living Things]!

In the process of swallowing this vast Soul energy, the cold, smooth walls of the magic bottle began to undergo a strange change.

Countless tiny, star-like specks of light emerged and lit up from within the bottle walls, becoming more numerous and denser, gradually outlining countless extremely small yet clearly legible—names!

Han Li, Ink Snow, Mo Yu, Mo Yun, Dao Fruit Child, Azure Dragon Princess, the thousands of subjects of the Lei Yan Divine Dynasty, countless pioneers of the ark era, and even the names of every ordinary farmer and child in the Consciousness Garden who had just dissipated... all existences related to this civilization that had left traces in this long Reincarnation had their true name imprints triggered by this final energy, and like stellar inscriptions, they were eternally engraved on the inner walls of the magic bottle!

[Billions of names appear on the bottle wall (including Han Li and The Three Daughters)]!

The magic bottle swallowed quietly and greedily, as if executing the final mission it had been set with since its birth—not to devour the world, but to carry the civilization, becoming the only and final black box of this giant ship that had chosen to sink.

The Song of Returning to Silence was still echoing, but it was no longer guiding the dissipation; it had turned into the background dirge for this silent funeral, witnessing the final destination of the civilization.

Billions of specks of light, billions of names.

All struggles, all glory, all love and hate, all sacrifices and choices, finally returned to this cold bottle that was, however, engraved with all warmth.

When the last bit of Soul energy was swallowed up, and the last name on the bottle wall lit up and then slowly faded away.

The bottle body of the magic bottle that pierced through dimensions trembled slightly, emitting the first and also the last soft chime since the end of the civilization:

"Ding—"

Crisp, distant, carrying endless desolation and release.

Immediately, the bottle body quietly withdrew from the temporarily opened dimensional hole, and the hole instantly closed.

Inside the Godly Kingdom Server, it became empty.

There were no more fluctuations of consciousness, no more signs of life.

Only that Song of Returning to Silence, which no one was listening to anymore, still echoed silently in the absolute nothingness, until it finally dissipated.

The civilization had actively chosen to end.

And the magic bottle, carrying all its weight, drifted toward the unknown.

Bottle burial of all living things; all living things were within it.

The eternal Reincarnation seemed, here, to draw a tragic full stop.
