129: The Haunted Warehouse and Wang Fugui's "Intuition"

"A lair for eating meat?"

Wang Fugui's eyes lit up, shimmering with green light.

Although A Biao's recent grand pronouncements sounded encouraging, they amounted to nothing in reality.

Lack of money was the fatal flaw.

Bald Strong keenly sensed the awkward silence in the air. He knew that if he could present a concrete plan now, the position of "Second Boss" would be his.

"Big Sister-in-Law! I have a connection!"

Bald Strong violently raised his hand, like a primary school student eager to answer a question, though his fleshy, scarred face was far from innocent.

Chen Yun was currently stubbing out her slender cigarette in the crack of a broken brick. Hearing this, she raised an eyebrow: "Speak."

"Near White Stone Islet, there's a large abandoned auto repair factory warehouse." Bald Strong leaned forward half a step, lowering his voice conspiratorially. "It's huge, self-contained, and close by. Most importantly... it's cheap! The rent is practically free!"

Lin Xiaocao's ears twitched. She loosened her grip on the cloth bag slightly: "How much?"

"One month..." Bald Strong held up five fingers, then retracted two. "Three hundred."

"Three hundred?"

Lin Xiaocao's eyes widened in surprise. These days, in a coastal area where land was as precious as gold, three hundred yuan couldn't even rent a single room, let alone a large warehouse.

"You get what you pay for," Chen Yun said flatly, her gaze sharp as a knife. "Did someone get murdered there? Or did it collapse?"

Bald Strong gave two dry laughs, rubbing his shiny bald head, his eyes flickering. "Well... the rumors say it's haunted."

"Haunted?"

Wang Fugui, who had been picking his teeth, paused upon hearing those two words.

He blinked his big eyes, where the whites were clearly defined. Instead of fear, his face showed a pure curiosity.

"Ghosts... what do they taste like?" Wang Fugui asked seriously. "Is braised better, or steamed?"

Everyone: "..."

A cold gust of wind swept through the alley, rustling a few dry leaves.

Bald Strong felt a chill on the back of his neck. A normal person hearing about a haunted house would ask if it was dangerous; this guy immediately asked if it was edible.

Was his brain circuitry struck by lightning?

"Stop interrupting." Chen Yun irritably slapped Wang Fugui's arm, then turned to stare at Bald Strong. "Tell the truth."

Under the gaze of Chen Yun's beautiful eyes, which seemed capable of seeing into his heart, Bald Strong surrendered.

"Big Sister-in-Law is wise." Bald Strong said with a bitter expression. "Actually, the landlord is a widow. Her husband died in the factory two years ago, and the place has been empty ever since. Several tons of scrap machinery and steel frames are piled up inside, completely rusted. The widow can't afford a crane or movers to clean it out, so it's just been left there. Whoever rents it has to handle the cleanup, and that alone costs thousands of yuan, which is why nobody wants it."

Several tons of scrap iron.

No money for cleanup.

As soon as these two key phrases were spoken, the atmosphere suddenly became subtle.

A Biao's eyes lit up—the gleam of a hungry wolf spotting carrion.

Lin Xiaocao's small mouth parted slightly, and the gears of her mental "Abacus" began to spin rapidly.

Chen Yun slowly turned her head, her gaze lingering meaningfully on the man beside her who was idly playing with a red brick.

Her gaze was substantial, carrying the implication of an appraisal.

Several tons of scrap iron?

Isn't that just several tons of walking cash?

If it were anyone else, the cleanup and crane fees alone would bankrupt them. But if it was Wang Fugui... that meant pure profit.

This wasn't renting a warehouse; this was going to restock inventory!

"What are you doing?" Wang Fugui felt goosebumps under Chen Yun's stare. He subconsciously shrank his neck and crushed the red brick in his hand into powder. "Sis, that look in your eyes... it's like you're looking at a pig that hasn't been slaughtered yet."

"Watch your mouth," Chen Yun scolded, giving him a playful glare. Then, taking graceful steps, she moved in front of Wang Fugui.

The distance between them was extremely close.

So close that Wang Fugui could clearly smell the rose fragrance on her, mixed with the scent of tobacco.

Chen Yun slightly stood on her tiptoes, bringing her red lips close to Wang Fugui's hairy ear. Her voice was extremely low, carrying a seductive charm that made his bones tingle.

"Fugui, as long as you clean out that warehouse, sell the scrap iron, you can have as many meat buns as you want afterward."

She paused, extended a slender finger, gently hooked Wang Fugui's waistband, pulled it out slightly, and then suddenly let go.

"Snap."

The crisp sound of elasticity.

"And..." Chen Yun's breath was warm, spraying his earlobe, as if it had hooks. "Tonight... Big Sister will give you a leg massage. Using that... special technique from last night."

She emphasized the words "leg massage," carrying an unspoken implication.

BOOM—!

Wang Fugui felt a rush of heat straight to the top of his head.

The sensation of those soft, smooth little hands moving across his legs last night instantly flooded his mind like a tide. That feeling, hovering between extreme pain and extreme pleasure, was more intoxicating than eating a hundred meat buns.

His nostrils flared, his breathing instantly becoming heavy like an ox's, and two streams of hot air nearly shot out of his nose.

"R-really?" Wang Fugui's Adam's apple bobbed, his voice hoarse as if he had swallowed sand.

"When has Big Sister ever lied to you?" Chen Yun stepped back half a pace, blinking, her eyes conveying countless charms.

If one didn't see the hand clenched tightly behind her back, with fingernails digging into her flesh, one might truly believe she was a seasoned veteran.

Only she knew how much willpower it took not to have her legs give out while exuding charm toward this human beast just now.

Beside them.

Lin Xiaocao bit her lower lip tightly, the cloth bag containing three thousand yuan in her hand completely crumpled.

That trick again!

The sour bile named "jealousy" churned violently in her stomach.

Although she knew it was to save money, for everyone's livelihood, watching that fox spirit use a Honey Trap on her brother made her deeply uncomfortable.

"Hmph."

Lin Xiaocao secretly vowed in her heart: Once they made money, she would definitely buy a golden house to hide her brother! And she would learn that leg massage thing too! If it's just about having soft hands, I can soak mine in vinegar every day until they're soft!

"Let's do it!!"

Wang Fugui suddenly stood up, letting out a roar that made the leaves overhead rustle loudly.

His eyes were bloodshot, a combination of craving for food and boundless anticipation for tonight's "benefit."

He waved his large hand with the boldness of someone directing a nation: "For the sake of starting a business! For everyone! For... *cough*... moving some iron is nothing! Lead the way!!"

Bald Strong's ears were ringing from the shout, but seeing that this lord had agreed, he immediately beamed with joy.

"Right away! This way, my lord! It's not far ahead, that 'Shengfa Auto Repair Factory' is the one!"

Five minutes later.

A strange procession marched grandly through the main street of the urban village.

Dozens of tattooed men followed solemnly behind the three young people.

Wang Fugui walked in the center, like a human tank, each step echoing heavily on the asphalt.

Chen Yun and Lin Xiaocao flanked him, like the Two Generals Heng and Ha, one cold and noble, the other pure and stubborn.

Passersby scattered wherever they went, and even the stray dogs dared not bark.

"Screech—"

A Jetta police car that happened to be patrolling nearby slammed on its brakes after seeing the spectacle.

The car window rolled down.

An old police Officer frowned, his hand already reaching for the walkie-talkie on his waist, scrutinizing the group who looked like they were heading for a gang fight.

The aura was too aggressive.

Especially the big guy in the middle, the green light in his eyes made him look exactly like a recently released serial killer.

Just as the old police Officer was about to call for backup.

Chen Yun stopped.

She smoothed her fringe, which had been ruffled by the wind, turned sideways, and displayed an extremely standard smile, full of intellectual beauty.

"Officer, thank you for your hard work." Chen Yun bowed slightly, her voice gentle and poised. "We're just moving house, sorry for the large commotion."

Moving house?

The old police Officer was stunned. His gaze swept over the ferocious-looking but docile tattooed men, and then landed on Wang Fugui, who was built like a bear but obediently carrying Lin Xiaocao's small cloth bag.

This combination... looked bizarre no matter how he saw it.

But since they were so polite and he saw no controlled weapons, the old police Officer couldn't really say anything.

"Maintain some order and don't block the road." The old police Officer waved his hand, restarted the car, and muttered, "These young people nowadays, moving house looks like a gangster's funeral..."

The police car slowly drove away.

Bald Strong wiped the cold sweat from his forehead and gave Chen Yun a thumbs-up: "Big Sister-in-Law, you're the steady one! The way that cop looked at His Lordship, I thought he was going to pull his gun."

He simply lifted his foot and, under the terrified gazes of dozens of eyes, kicked the several-centimeter-thick iron gate.
