99: Computational Materials Science
These two fields are the two fields most deeply intertwined with Materials Science.
Functional Analysis is a branch of Mathematics formed in the 1930s, developed from the study of variational problems, integral equations, and theoretical Physics.
This discipline comprehensively applies concepts from function theory, Geometry, and modern Mathematics to study functionals, operators, and limit theory on infinite-dimensional vector spaces.
It can be seen as the analytical Geometry and mathematical analysis of infinite-dimensional vector spaces.
Functional Analysis has applications in mathematical Physics equations, probability theory, computational Mathematics, and other branches, and is also a mathematical tool for studying physical Systems with infinite degrees of freedom.
For some problems that require finding limits within materials, Functional Analysis can solve and answer them very well.
The field Guo Hao is very optimistic about is Computational Materials Science.
This book was just published this year, and Guo Hao found it in the Library.
It has to be said, this book made Guo Hao very interested.
Currently, Guo Hao is reading it.
It has to be said, this book is still a bit profound; for Guo Hao, he lacks a lot of knowledge.
But for some reason, it was actually marked on the baseline indicated by the System, which surprised Guo Hao a little.
Moreover, this book is a full 460 pages.
It can be said to be a massive tome.
Currently, Computational Materials Science mainly has two methods: one is computational simulation, which starts from experimental data and simulates the actual process by establishing mathematical models and numerical calculations; the other is computer-aided design of materials, which directly predicts or designs material structure and properties through theoretical models and calculations.
It involves many mathematical models and methods, as well as some things related to Physics, including classical thermodynamics and molecular content.
In order to understand this book, Guo Hao even had to start finding some related content and books.
But reading this book, he truly gained a lot.
With his IQ, it's naturally not to say there are places he completely doesn't understand, only knowledge blind spots, but knowledge blind spots are easy to solve.
Wherever he didn't understand, Guo Hao directly took related books from the Library shelves, and many of these books were also on the baseline!
It can be said that they complement each other.
Gradually, Guo Hao began to immerse himself.
On the notebook prepared beside him, rows of formulas were quickly densely written. Guo Hao sometimes frowned tightly, and sometimes looked thoughtful.
He didn't notice at all that at this moment, on his System page, his Mathematics and Physics experience was growing rapidly.
"User Mathematics experience + 126!"
"User Mathematics experience + 223!"
"User Mathematics experience + 102!"
...
At this time, he didn't care about these at all. His brain was spinning rapidly, and countless Mathematics knowledge, Physics knowledge, began to pour into his brain like crazy.
His IQ of over 230 began to be fully unleashed at this moment.
Guo Hao didn't pay attention to the changes outside.
In the Library, it was naturally unlikely that anyone would come to disturb his study.
Of course, the stack of books in front of Guo Hao still attracted the attention of some people. When they looked curiously at the mathematical formulas and symbols Guo Hao was writing.
Soon, the doubts in their eyes completely faded, replaced by admiration. They looked at Guo Hao with admiration.
Math God! So amazing!
People passing by thought to themselves.
Of course, none of this meant anything to Guo Hao.
Anyway, he only had class tomorrow, and today was just the start of the semester with no classes scheduled, so Guo Hao planned to stay glued to the Library for the entire afternoon.
He studied until six o'clock in the afternoon.
The fatigue from continuous study coupled with the feeling of hunger in his stomach finally interrupted Guo Hao's study state.
"Whew!"
Guo Hao let out a long breath.
He glanced at the Computational Materials Science book he had only studied for just over twenty pages.
A hint of emotion appeared in his eyes.
This subject is truly vast and profound.
Because he had many knowledge blind spots, he had to start using quite a few reference books, so his study speed was not fast.
But Guo Hao felt that he gained a lot!
Stopping his study state, only then did Guo Hao have the mood to open the System.
Mathematics experience + 1598! Physics experience + 948!
Very good!
Guo Hao looked at these two numbers with satisfaction. With an afternoon of studying, the experience of both subjects had gained a very good increase.
Is this the weight of experience points gained from studying high-level knowledge?
In high school, this would be an incredible thing!
In one afternoon, he gained a lot of knowledge and also a lot of subject experience!
Guo Hao stood up from his seat contentedly.
He put the books back on the shelf, after all, he had already borrowed more than ten books.
He no longer had borrowing privileges.
Leaving the Library, Guo Hao opened his phone.
There was a missed call from Ma Xin.
Guo Hao was slightly puzzled and didn't call back, but instead went directly back to the dormitory.
As soon as he arrived at the dormitory, Guo Hao saw Ma Xin and the other two preparing to go out, as well as the new books on everyone's desks.
"Hao Ge! You're finally back? Where did you go this afternoon?"
Ma Xin seeing Guo Hao, immediately said helplessly towards Guo Hao.
"I went to the Library to read... Who helped me get the books?"
Guo Hao smiled and asked the three of them.
"Me..."
Li Wei said with a slightly hesitant tone.
"Thank you!"
Guo Hao thanked Li Wei.
"Not at all! Not at all!"
Li Wei quickly said towards Guo Hao.
"You've helped me so much, I just helped you get the books, no need to thank me!"
"If you say that, then in the future, when I help you, you don't need to thank me either?"
Guo Hao smiled.
Hearing Guo Hao's words, Li Wei's expression was clearly a little flustered. He was about to say something.
"Alright! We're all brothers in the same dorm! There's nothing more to say! Let's go! Let's go eat!"
Guo Hao said to the three with a smile.
"Exactly! Let's go! Let's go eat!"
Ma Xin also responded with a smile.
The four roommates came to the canteen.
After getting their food, the four were about to find a place to sit down, but it was six o'clock, the peak time for students to eat. The canteen was packed, and the four looked for a while but didn't find a suitable empty seat.
Just then.
"Here!"
Someone waved at them.
"Is that... Wang Biyun?"
Ma Xin recognized the person waving at them at a glance. It was from Shen Luoyan's dorm yesterday, and they had eaten together.
"Go over?"
Ma Xin asked Guo Hao slightly excitedly.
"Mm."
Guo Hao nodded.
The four roommates walked towards Wang Biyun.
"Hello everyone!"
Wang Biyun said to Guo Hao and the others with a smile on her face.
"Are you alone?"
Guo Hao asked Wang Biyun with a smile.
"No, Shao Ping and the others are still ordering, I came over to save seats first!"
"Then we'll rely on you guys today, we couldn't find a seat."
Guo Hao said with a smile.
"No problem! Sit wherever you like!"
Wang Biyun had a smile on her face.
"Oh, little girl, weren't you saving seats for us? You're not being honest!"
Just then, a voice came from beside them.
