140: Chapter 140 Champion Motorcycle

After leaving the Sales Office, Li Bingyue rode her motorcycle with Zhang Qi to a private restaurant for a simple meal.

Once they had eaten their fill, Li Bingyue took the initiative to scan the code and pay the bill. The two of them hopped back onto the motorcycle and headed straight for the large dealership where Li Bingyue had pre-ordered her bike.

Zhang Qi followed Li Bingyue into the spacious and bright showroom, where a wave of cool air greeted them, and the scent of new rubber tires permeated the air.

The dealership's manager had a sharp eye. As soon as he saw Li Bingyue walk in, his face lit up with a smile, and he trotted over to greet her.

"Miss Li, the war machine you ordered arrived at the shop just yesterday. We spent the whole night conducting a comprehensive inspection, just waiting for you to come and pick it up!"

A intense radiance instantly erupted in Li Bingyue's bright, large eyes. She waved her hand excitedly, urging him on with impatience.

"Then stop wasting time and hurry up and take me to see it. I don't want to wait even a single minute longer!"

Seeing her eager expression, the manager's smile became even more radiant, and he hurriedly bowed and led the way with great enthusiasm.

The three of them walked through the better part of the showroom to a separate display area at the very back, where a wild-looking heavy racing motorcycle was parked.

The moment Li Bingyue saw this motorcycle, she was so excited she threw herself at it, her fair, petite hands stroking the fuel tank as if she couldn't get enough of it.

The manager stood to the side, introducing the origin of the bike to the two with a face full of pride, his tone filled with professional confidence.

"This is a high-end racing model from a top-tier international manufacturer. The price of the bare bike alone is as high as 1.2 million RMB!"

"Added to that are various top-tier modification kits and high import tariffs, bringing the total cost of this vehicle to exactly 2.6 million."

Li Bingyue readily pulled her bank card from her pocket and handed it directly to the manager, her tone filled with the bold generosity of someone who didn't care about money.

"Alright, I'm very satisfied with the bike. Go ahead and charge the remaining balance. I'm going to take this war machine out to the track to practice on today!"

After Li Bingyue finished paying, she turned her head to look at the manager who was about to go process the card, not forgetting to give him an instruction.

"Oh, that's right, Manager Wang, don't rush off just yet. Go help my friend here pick out a heavy motorcycle suitable for a beginner. The price is negotiable."

Upon hearing this, the manager immediately stopped in his tracks, his gaze turning fawning as he looked toward Zhang Qi, preparing to recommend a few high-profit entry-level models to him.

Zhang Qi, however, ignored the manager's enthusiasm. His gaze was fixed, passing over layers of displayed vehicles, locked tightly onto the very center of the showroom.

On that circular platform, set high above the rest, sat a heavy motorcycle with a unique design that was extremely eye-catching.

It was precisely those battle-worn scars, combined with the exaggerated aerodynamic kit, that exuded a deadly attraction.

Zhang Qi directly ignored the entry-level models the manager had recommended and strode toward the high platform in the middle of the showroom, his eyes burning with fervor.

Zhang Qi stood beneath the high platform, eyeing the imposing war machine with a fiery gaze, and couldn't help but turn back to look at Li Bingyue who had followed him.

"Bingyue, I think that bike looks quite pleasing to the eye. It's even more imposing than the one you just bought. What brand is that?"

In the time it took to share a meal, the relationship between the two had progressed rapidly, and their forms of address had become much more intimate.

Li Bingyue and the dealership manager looked in the direction Zhang Qi was pointing. Upon seeing the bike, both of them laughed in unison.

Li Bingyue covered her mouth, laughing until she swayed, her bright, large eyes filled with a teasing expression as she walked directly to Zhang Qi's side.

"Brother Qi, your taste is truly sharp. You picked out the shop's treasure the moment you saw it. This bike isn't something an ordinary person can handle."

The dealership manager also crowded over with a face full of smiles, his tone filled with a strong sense of pride as he began to flatter them earnestly.

"This gentleman certainly has a good eye. This bike is the very champion motorcycle that recently shone brightly in international competitions!"

"This is a genuine, original racing vehicle that has won six championships in one go across multiple professional international events!"

"Our dealership's boss recently paid a huge sum to partner with champion motorcycle, and to boost the store's reputation, he spent a great deal of money to buy it back."

When the manager reached this point, he paused deliberately, his tone carrying a hint of obvious helplessness and regret as he spread his hands and shook his head.

"So, I'm truly sorry, sir. This six-time champion war machine is just a treasure used for exhibition; it is absolutely not for sale."

Hearing this detailed introduction from the manager, especially upon hearing the titles of "six-time champion" and "pure domestic product," Zhang Qi's interest grew even stronger.

Zhang Qi didn't take the manager's "not for sale" comment to heart at all. A confident smile curled the corner of his mouth, and he spoke in a calm tone.

"Since your boss spent money to buy it back, there must be a price. Just tell me how much more money it will take for you to sell it to me."

The manager was choked up by Zhang Qi's extremely direct and overbearing words, and the smile on his face instantly became somewhat stiff and awkward.

The manager turned his head with a bitter face, looking at Li Bingyue, who was standing to the side watching the show, with a pleading gaze, hoping she could help him out.

Li Bingyue, however, shrugged her shoulders nonchalantly. Her exquisite face was full of the look of someone watching a good show as she said to the manager with a grin:

"Manager Wang, don't look at me with that expression. This friend of mine is a super-rich top-tier tycoon. You can feel free to name your price with confidence."

When the manager heard Li Bingyue say this, the bitter smile on his face became even deeper. He sighed helplessly and could only bite the bullet and explain.

"Miss Li, this isn't a question of money. I'm just a miserable working stiff; I really don't have the authority to set a price for this bike."

"And sir, this bike is a pure track-level modification. It doesn't meet road-legal regulations at all, and it is absolutely impossible to register it for the road."

"Even if you spend a huge sum to buy it back, you can only ride it on those closed professional tracks; you simply can't ride it out on the street."

The more Zhang Qi heard, the more interested he became. He directly ignored the manager's tedious attempts at persuasion, his gaze fixed on the manager's eyes with great pressure.

"Whether it can go on the road or not is my business. You just need to honestly tell me exactly how much money your boss spent to buy it back in the first place."

The manager was intimidated by the powerful aura of a superior that Zhang Qi exuded. He couldn't help but break into a fine layer of cold sweat on his forehead and could only confess honestly.

"Sir, the production cost of this bike itself is actually only around one million, but because it carries the dazzling fame of being a six-time champion."

"So, when our boss bought it, he spent a full three million or so in a huge sum just to take it down from the racing team."

Hearing this price of three million, there was no fluctuation in the expression on Zhang Qi's face. He simply snapped his fingers crisply.

He looked at the nervous manager and calmly threw out a terrifying, exorbitant price that no one could refuse.

"Since your boss bought it back for double the price, then I won't take advantage of you today either; I'll just double it as well."

"I'm offering six million in cash in full right now. Go call your boss immediately and ask him if he's selling at this price or not!"
