121: The thrill of killing
By the time Third Master Gu’s eyes widened, seeing the six Great Dou Masters he brought lying scattered on the ground—some with scorched chests, others with throats pierced by a sword, and one even split in half by Lightning Light, a bloody mess.
“How… how is this possible?!”
He felt a chill run through him, his throat dry, and finally realized he had poked a hornet’s nest.
“Seven-Star Great Dou Master, my foot! This woman is at least a Dou Ling Expert!”
He roared inwardly, turning to flee, but as soon as he took a step, Lightning Light flashed before his eyes, and Red Silk’s figure appeared demonically in front of him, the tip of her sword resting against his throat, its icy touch making him stiffen.
“Running?”
Red Silk’s lips curved slightly, a hint of playfulness in her eyes.
“Did I say you could run?”
Third Master Gu’s legs gave out, and he fell to his knees with a thud, his forehead hitting the stone pavement heavily, his voice trembling.
“Senior, spare my life! This junior was blind and offended you! Please show mercy and spare my dog’s life!”
In the Black-Corner Region, dignity and face were jokes; only survival was the hard truth.
Red Silk looked at him indifferently, a flicker of thought in her eyes, then slowly spoke.
“I’ll give you a chance.”
Third Master Gu suddenly looked up, a glimmer of hope igniting in his eyes.
“Please speak, Senior! This junior is willing to serve you like an ox or a horse!”
Red Silk slightly raised her sword tip, pointing it at Jiang Donghua, who was cautiously observing nearby, her tone calm.
“Go challenge my junior brother. If you can win, I’ll let you go.”
Third Master Gu froze, then was overjoyed!
“That Great Dou Master kid?!”
He was a Peak Seven-Star Great Dou Master; dealing with a Great Dou Master brat would be a piece of cake, wouldn’t it?
“Senior, are your words true?!”
A sinister glint flashed in his eyes as he already began to plot how to torture Jiang Donghua to death, then seize the opportunity to escape.
Red Silk sneered.
“My word is my bond.”
Third Master Gu immediately scrambled to his feet, a fierce glint in his eyes, staring intently at Jiang Donghua, and sneered.
“Kid, consider yourself unlucky!”
Jiang Donghua.
“???”
“Senior Sister! You’re setting me up!”
He roared frantically in his heart, but on the surface, he could only force a dry laugh, biting the bullet and stepping forward.
Red Silk retreated to the side, crossing her arms, a hint of amusement in her eyes.
“Junior brother, don’t disappoint me.”
Jiang Donghua’s mouth twitched, cursing inwardly.
“This woman is definitely doing this on purpose!”
But now, he could only face Third Master Gu’s killing intent, taking a deep breath, his gaze gradually turning cold.
“Since I can’t escape, then I’ll fight!”
Third Master Gu let out a wild laugh, his body surging with blood-red light, his hands transforming into pale bone claws, and he lunged forward fiercely!
“Kid, die for me!”
Jiang Donghua’s eyes narrowed, Dou Qi frantically circulating within him, the cold light of his longsword flashing as he met the attack!
“Boom—!”
A clash erupted instantly!
Third Master Gu had originally thought that dealing with a kid who had just entered the Seven-Star Great Dou Master realm would be a piece of cake.
But as soon as they exchanged blows, he realized something was wrong.
“This kid, he’s also a Seven-Star Great Dou Master?!”
He frowned, but soon sneered again.
“Hmph, so what if he’s of the same rank? I’ve been struggling in the Black-Corner Region for so many years, killed several Peak Great Dou Masters, so why would I be afraid of a mere greenhorn?!”
He suddenly retreated a step, the blood-red light on his pale bone claws surging, and sneered.
“Kid, surrender now, and I might spare your life!”
Hearing this, Jiang Donghua not only didn’t flinch but grinned, a hint of playfulness flashing in his eyes.
“Oh, when you were kneeling and begging for mercy just now, why weren’t you so tough?”
Third Master Gu’s face instantly turned ashen, veins bulging on his forehead!
“You’re asking for death!!”
He roared, blood mist churning around him, his claws like ghostly shadows tearing through the air, heading straight for Jiang Donghua’s throat!
“Profound-tier Low-grade Dou Technique — Blood Bone Claw!”
Jiang Donghua’s eyes narrowed, his footwork suddenly becoming erratic, his entire body dodging nimbly like a Roaming Cloud.
“Roaming Cloud Steps!”
Third Master Gu’s fierce claw winds all missed, not even touching the corner of Jiang Donghua’s clothes!
“What?!”
Third Master Gu’s pupils constricted, shocked in his heart.
Jiang Donghua’s lips curved slightly, his body turning, and his right palm suddenly pushed out, scorching Dou Qi instantly condensing!
“Blazing Flame Palm!”
“Boom—!”
A crimson wave of fire erupted, striking directly at Third Master Gu’s chest!
Third Master Gu hastily blocked, but was still sent back several steps by the palm strike, his chest robes charred, and a burning pain searing his skin.
“This kid, his movement technique is strange, and his Dou Technique is so domineering?!”
The fierce glint in his eyes intensified. He suddenly slapped his chest, spitting out a mouthful of vital blood, which instantly transformed into countless blood-colored bone spikes in a blood mist, shooting towards Jiang Donghua like a rainstorm!
“Blood Bone Kill!”
Jiang Donghua showed no panic, his Roaming Cloud Steps once again displayed, his figure weaving through the bone spikes like a phantom, not a single one able to harm him in the slightest!
Third Master Gu’s face changed drastically, a hint of fear finally rising in his heart.
“This kid, why is he so difficult to deal with?!”
Jiang Donghua sneered, Dou Qi surging wildly within him, his fists suddenly glowing with dazzling golden light, and an incomparably domineering aura erupted!
“Heavenly Stellar Overlord Fist!”
His figure flashed, instantly closing in on Third Master Gu, his right fist, carrying the power to shatter mountains and crack stones, fiercely blasted out!
“Boom—!”
Where the punch wind passed, the air was compressed into a booming sound!
Third Master Gu hastily crossed his arms to block, but the power of this punch far exceeded his imagination!
“Crack!”
The crisp sound of bones breaking echoed, his arms were actually forcefully broken!
“Ah—!”
Third Master Gu screamed, his entire body flying backward like a kite with a broken string, crashing heavily against the wall, blood gushing from his mouth.
He struggled to get up, but saw Jiang Donghua slowly approaching, his eyes cold and emotionless.
“The rules of the Black-Corner Region: the loser dies!”
Third Master Gu’s face was filled with terror, and he shrieked.
“No! You can’t kill me! I’m from the Bone Sect! If you kill me, you all—”
Jiang Donghua couldn’t be bothered with nonsense, his right fist flashed golden again, and he punched towards his head!
“Bang—!”
Third Master Gu’s head burst open like a watermelon, red and white matter splattering everywhere.
Jiang Donghua shook the blood from his fist, let out a long breath, and turned to look at Red Silk.
Red Silk stood with her arms crossed, a hint of appreciation flashing in her eyes.
“Not bad, you didn’t disappoint me.”
Jiang Donghua grinned.
“Senior Sister, was my performance cool enough?”
Red Silk lightly snorted.
“Don’t get cocky. The Bone Sect won’t let this go. Hurry up and leave.”
Jiang Donghua nodded, but felt secretly pleased.
“That show-off was perfect!”
In the shadows of a distant corner, Black Tooth trembled all over, desperately covering his mouth, afraid to make the slightest sound.
“It’s over, it’s over! These two fiends actually killed Third Master Gu!”
He had witnessed the entire process. Third Master Gu, a dignified Peak Seven-Star Great Dou Master, couldn’t even last five moves against Jiang Donghua before his head was blasted off with a single punch!
Even more terrifying was that the cold and beautiful woman hadn’t made a move at all, merely standing by with crossed arms, observing the battle with eyes as indifferent as if watching a boring performance.
“The strongest Sect Master of the Bone Sect is only a Six-Star Dou Ling. This woman is probably even stronger!”
The more Black Tooth thought about it, the more terrified he became, cold sweat breaking out on his forehead.
“No, I have to sneak away quickly! Selling this information to other forces might earn me a fortune!”
He cautiously moved backward, trying to escape under the cover of night.
“Where are you going?”
A teasing voice suddenly sounded in his ear.
Black Tooth stiffened, slowly looking up, only to see two dark figures, who had appeared at some unknown time, standing before him, looking down at him from above.
It was Jiang Donghua and Red Silk!
“Se-Senior! A misunderstanding! This junior was just passing by!”
Black Tooth forced out a smile uglier than a cry, his voice trembling uncontrollably.
Jiang Donghua grinned, revealing a mouthful of white teeth.
“Oh? Passing by? Then why are you trembling?”
Black Tooth’s forehead was covered in cold sweat, his eyeballs darting around as he desperately tried to find an excuse.
“It’s, it’s cold! Yes! This junior is naturally sensitive to cold!”
Red Silk sneered, a faint flicker of Lightning Light on her fingertips.
“Is that so? How about I help you warm up?”
Black Tooth’s face instantly turned ashen, knowing he couldn’t escape death today, so he gritted his teeth and said fiercely.
“Don’t you dare get cocky! The Bone Sect won’t let you off! Blood Crow City—”
“Swish—!”
A cold light flashed.
Black Tooth’s words abruptly stopped.
His head flew high, arcing through the air, and finally landed on the ground with a “thud,” rolling a few times before stopping.
The headless body swayed, then crashed to the ground.
Jiang Donghua shook the blood from his sword, pouting.
“So much nonsense.”
Red Silk glanced indifferently at the corpse, then turned and said.
“Let’s go. The Bone Sect people will be here soon.”
Jiang Donghua nodded, about to follow, but suddenly paused, turning back to look at Black Tooth’s corpse, his eyes lighting up.
“Wait! Almost forgot to loot the body!”
Red Silk.
“...”
Jiang Donghua shook his fist, looking at Third Master Gu’s headless corpse on the ground, a curve of excitement involuntarily forming at the corner of his mouth.
“This feeling of fighting is really great!”
Compared to hunting magical beasts in the academy, the thrill of this life-and-death struggle was simply addictive.
Especially watching the opponent’s eyes change from arrogant to despair, it made his blood boil more than any Dou Technique cultivation.
“The most interesting thing is that this kind of thing can’t be done in the academy!”
He smacked his lips, secretly pleased.
“A Peak Seven-Star Great Dou Master, couldn’t even last five moves against me? Tsk tsk, I’m truly amazing!”
He couldn’t help but turn to Red Silk, a hint of smugness in his eyes.
“Senior Sister, quickly praise me!”
Red Silk glanced at him, her lips curving almost imperceptibly, but her tone remained cold.
“Alright, barely passing.”
“Is that all? My performance was so cool, and all I get is ‘barely passing’?!”
He was about to protest, but Red Silk had already added indifferently.
“Next time, I’ll give you an Eight-Star Great Dou Master, or a Peak Great Dou Master to try.”
Jiang Donghua’s smug expression instantly froze, his entire face filled with question marks.
“???”
“Senior Sister! You’re trying to kill me, aren’t you?!”
He widened his eyes, a look of disbelief on his face.
“I’m only a Seven-Star Great Dou Master! Challenging a Peak Seven-Star Great Dou Master is already ridiculous, and you want me to fight a Peak Great Dou Master?!”
Red Silk lightly snorted, a hint of mischief flashing in her eyes.
“What, scared?”
Jiang Donghua’s mouth twitched, roaring frantically in his heart.
“Is this a question of being scared or not?! This is a question of losing my life!”
But he forced himself to say.
“Who, who’s scared! I just think it’s better to progress gradually!”
Red Silk gave him a half-smile, said nothing more, and turned to walk deeper into Blood Crow City.
Jiang Donghua quickly followed, but was already calculating in his mind.
“No, I have to quickly improve my strength! Otherwise, next time Senior Sister really throws me to duel a Peak Great Dou Master, I’ll probably be beaten into a pig’s head!”
He secretly glanced at Red Silk’s back, unable to help but mutter.
“This woman, she wouldn’t be deliberately messing with me, would she?”
Red Silk didn’t turn her head, her voice faintly drifting back.
“If you keep muttering, next time I’ll directly arrange a One-star Dou Ling for you.”
“Senior Sister! I was wrong!!”
