19: Chapter 19 The Great Rescue Operation

"Who are you all..."

Li Yu had just started to speak when he was immediately interrupted.

A man with a full beard, looking just like a fitness coach, squeezed to the front and held up his ID badge, saying enthusiastically:

"Li Yu, I am Supervisor Wang from the sixth floor. I came specifically to invite you to join our sixth-floor Breeding Hall. We have the highest quality Breeding orders there, and as long as you come..."

Before he could finish, a maturely dressed woman beside him suddenly flew into a kick, sending him flying.

She then tossed her hair, hitting another person in the face and causing them to cover their face in pain.

"Student Li, I am Supervisor Lily from the fifth floor. Any interest in coming to our hall? By the way, this big sister is single. If you come, I can give you a chance to pursue me."

After Supervisor Lily finished, she gave Li Yu a charming wink, but the next second, she was pushed aside by a man wearing glasses who looked gentle and refined.

"Get lost! You bitch! That's not what you said when you arrived."

The 'refined' man flashed a gentle smile at Li Yu. "Li Yu, our department has many female Breeders, too. If you join our hall, I can give you their contact information."

"Refined scum! Have you no shame!" the wavy-haired Supervisor Lily cursed.

"You slut, trying to swindle people again. Which of the Breeders in your department wasn't tricked in like that, only to find they couldn't even touch a hair on your head? Also! Who the hell wears stilettos when kicking someone!" Supervisor Wang, the bearded man, cursed while holding his waist.

Seven or eight people; as one finished speaking, another squeezed in, and as that one finished, the next one bumped over.

For a time, the training room was in chaos, rowdy and out of control.

Seven or eight supervisors had cast aside their status, surrounding Li Yu like salesmen who hadn't met their quotas.

Outside of this corner, the other Interns looked at each other, silent as the grave.

"Am I crazy, or is the world crazy?" an Intern murmured, their voice trembling.

"It must be the world that's crazy! How is this possible? An Intern from a technical school—how could he attract so many people to recruit him?"

Another Intern's lips turned pale as they thought about how they had insulted Li Yu before.

The others' expressions weren't much better.

Able to get into good universities and stand out among hundreds of applicants in an interview, they might be arrogant or condescending, but they were certainly not stupid.

From the scene before them, how could they not realize that the Intern they had looked down upon and despised was of far greater value than themselves?

After being eliminated, he got to cut the line.

He was brought here personally by a supervisor, accepted as an exception by Teacher Yan, and treated with an excellent attitude.

Not to mention what was happening right now...

Seven or eight supervisors, spanning how many different floors?

They were willing to cast aside their dignity and brawl just to recruit him.

Just thinking about this made the group of Interns feel a chill down their spines.

They looked at each other, their eyes filled with terror.

Oh my God...

Is it too late to kneel down now?

Meanwhile.

Supervisor Song entered the elevator.

It had just reached the third floor when it stopped, and a few young people walked in, smiling and greeting Supervisor Song.

Supervisor Song was in a good mood, so he smiled and replied, not paying much attention.

The young people were chatting and laughing when suddenly, one of the girls let out an "Ouch!" and collapsed into the corner of the elevator.

"Xiaoxiao, what's wrong?"

"Xiaoxiao, are you okay? Are you on your period?"

"Xiaoxiao..."

The young people hurriedly gathered around, calling out anxiously.

Supervisor Song also leaned in.

Seeing the girl's complexion was rosy but her expression was pained, he couldn't help but frown.

"Young lady, are you okay? Where does it hurt?"

"I, I'm fine, I just have a stomach ache," the girl said with a pained expression.

"Supervisor Song, can you take me to the infirmary?"

"Eh! How do you know my surname is Song?" Supervisor Song was puzzled.

"This..." The girl's eyes darted around slightly, then she let out an "Ouch!" and began to cry out in pain.

The other young people all begged Supervisor Song for help.

Supervisor Song didn't think too much about it and hurriedly helped the young people take the girl to the company's infirmary.

When he returned, he discovered that the elevator had a maintenance sign hanging on it.

He found another elevator.

When he entered, he realized there were already eight or nine people inside, including a child.

"Hello, Uncle," the child called out obediently.

"Eh, what a good child." Supervisor Song smiled with satisfaction and walked in, saying, "Excuse me, please press the top floor."

"It's already been pressed," said the woman standing by the door.

Supervisor Song nodded with a smile, but when he glanced at the elevator buttons, his eyes widened instantly.

Every single floor button was lit up!

"Hee hee~ Uncle, I pressed all the elevator buttons, aren't I amazing?" the little boy giggled.

Supervisor Song's mouth twitched. "Amazing, truly... amazing..."

"Hee hee~ It was my mommy who told me to stop—woo woo—"

Before the little boy could finish, his mother covered his mouth.

"Children speak without thinking, children speak without thinking."

His mother flashed an apologetic smile at Supervisor Song.

Supervisor Song smiled stiffly and didn't say anything.

He was an adult; what was there to argue about with a child?

The elevator ascended slowly, stopping at every single floor.

Coincidentally, every time the elevator doors opened, someone outside would be holding the door-open button, shouting for so-and-so in the office to hurry up.

After ascending for three floors, Supervisor Song felt something was wrong.

When the elevator doors opened, he walked straight out, leaving the people in the elevator looking at each other.

The building had two elevators on each side.

Now, one was under maintenance, and the other had every floor button pressed.

Supervisor Song either had to take the stairs and climb over 30 floors, or take a few minutes to walk around to the other side of the building to take an elevator.

He chose to walk around for a few minutes.

30-plus floors; climbing that would exhaust his soul right out of his body.

He went to the other side of the building, only to find another crowd squeezing into the elevators—either he couldn't get in, or they had pressed N-number of floors.

Supervisor Song switched to another side of the building.

The result was the same.

Only then did he realize something was wrong.

He slapped his forehead. "Damn it, someone doesn't want me to go up!"

He looked toward the stairwell, gritted his teeth, shook his fat belly, and charged into the stairwell, climbing up floor by floor.

He hadn't even climbed three floors.

A few young Breeders appeared.

"Eh! Supervisor Song, what brings you here?" a Breeder greeted enthusiastically.

"I'm just passing by... huff..."

"Don't go, Supervisor Song. I have a problem I don't understand, could you help me?"

As they spoke, a few people surrounded Supervisor Song.

Some asked about the company's order system, some asked about orders, and others asked about Breeding.

It took Supervisor Song several minutes to shake them off.

He continued running upstairs, and before long, he was drenched in sweat, panting for breath.

After only a few floors, another group of people was blocking the way.

"Damn it! You guys, what exactly do you want?" Supervisor Song asked, hands on his hips, glaring with his small eyes.

Those people looked at each other and smiled. "Supervisor Song, we've encountered a problem, please help us solve it."

"Huff... huff... Solve it, right... no problem, come here..."

Supervisor Song couldn't even speak clearly.

The people looked delighted and swarmed toward Supervisor Song.

Just as they were about to ask their question, Supervisor Song's fat body performed an S-shaped maneuver, dashing upstairs and leaving them standing there in stunned silence.

"Damn! The target has gotten smarter!"

Someone exclaimed.

Someone else took out their phone and rapidly typed a message into a group chat—

"All units, please pay attention. The target has seen through our objective and has already rushed to the 8th floor! Repeat! The target has seen through our objective and has already rushed to the 8th floor!"

Very quickly, the group chat pinged with a flurry of messages.

"14th floor received!"

"18th floor received!"

"22nd floor received!"

"26..."

The name of this temporarily created group was also very special—Operation Snatch the Talent!
