132: Heavy losses

“Fuck you, why did it fail again?”

“Why did our plan against the Meteor Empire fail again?”

“These damn guys, despicable and shameless bastards.”

“Why do our plans fail again and again? Who can tell me why?”

Hysterical curses echoed around everyone.

The First Priest kicked over the conference table in front of him, roaring hysterically.

He had paid a huge price to set up today’s plan, but he didn’t expect it to fail again.

According to his plan, Qinglong City should have been completely reduced to ashes, but only a portion of the people died. He simply could not accept this result.

“Baihu City also failed!”

“And Suzaku, and Black Tortoise, all of them failed.”

Everyone looked at the Grand Priest in front of them, a deep fear in their eyes, not daring to look directly into his bloodshot eyes.

“Fuck you?”

“What are these Divine-level Bosses even good for? Can’t they even destroy a second-tier main city?”

“Is it really Heaven’s blessing upon Meteor?”

“Why?”

“You tell me, why?”

The Grand Priest slammed the table, roaring madly, his eyes filled with a hint of madness.

“Lord Priest, the Meteor Empire’s national destiny has reached an unprecedented strength in a hundred years. It won’t be easy for us to deal with it now!”

The woman, known as the First Diviner, stepped forward, toying with the tarot cards in her hand, her voice revealing a deep sense of powerlessness.

They had planned more than once to consume the Meteor Empire’s national destiny, but recently, it was as if they had hit a wall. Each time, they suffered heavy losses and returned empty-handed.

Even attempts to kill the Meteor Empire’s prodigies had never succeeded.

“Lord Priest, if we make another big move, I’m afraid it will draw the Meteor Empire’s displeasure. Don’t forget, that Emperor is also a Nine Revolutions expert.”

A noblewoman slowly stood up, staring intently at the Lord Priest, and said coldly.

“Are you teaching me how to do things?”

“Do you think everything I do is wrong?”

“Do you think I haven’t contributed to the White Eagle Empire?”

“Even if he is a Nine Revolutions expert, what then? Does he intend to kill his way into the White Eagle Empire?”

The Lord Priest seemed to find an outlet, turning his gun on the woman and questioning her incessantly.

He never feared any challenge, even from a head of state, he remained fearless.

“I never said you haven’t contributed to the White Eagle Empire. I just think you should take a break now.”

“The National War is imminent. All our focus should be on the National War, not on constant sabotage.”

The noblewoman snorted coldly and turned to walk out of the conference room.

After the noblewoman left, everyone instantly fell silent.

“Forget it, let’s talk about everything after the National War.”

Hearing this, the Lord Priest leaned back in his chair, feeling a deep sense of powerlessness.

No one in the conference room knew better than him how powerful the Meteor Empire’s national destiny had become.

If it wasn’t stopped soon, once its luck became like a dragon, the rise of this vast empire would be unstoppable.

Su Bai looked at the crumbling Baihu City, couldn’t help but take a deep breath, and clenched his fists.

Fortunately, he arrived in time. If he had been a little later, Baihu City would no longer exist.

The energy shield was on the verge of collapse, the Dean of Baihu Academy died in battle, two Vice Deans of Baihu Academy died in battle, two Vice City Lords died in battle, and countless professionals died, too many to even count their names.

Currently, in Baihu City, every household hung white mourning cloths, revealing a sense of sorrow.

“Thank you, Prince Who Rivals the Emperor. If it weren’t for you, I’m afraid Baihu City would have truly been in grave danger this time.”

The City Lord of Baihu City extended an arm and cupped his hands towards Su Bai, a hint of excitement in his eyes.

“You’re welcome, this is what I should do.”

“But I still arrived late. If I had come a little earlier, the losses might not have been so severe.”

When Su Bai arrived, the Divine-level Bosses had already made their move.

Several Deans and the City Lord fought desperately to tie down these World Bosses, and the City Lord even lost an arm.

“It’s already very good to have saved our lives.”

“Then you rest first, I’ll go back and deal with some matters.”

After bidding farewell to Su Bai, the City Lord of Baihu City turned and walked directly towards the City Lord’s mansion.

Leaving the city wall, Su Bai arrived at White Tiger Academy.

White mourning cloths hung at the entrance, and White Tiger Academy appeared desolate at this moment.

Whether teachers or students, all wore white mourning cloths and had an unspeakable sorrow on their faces.

Su Bai walked step by step into the depths of the academy, finally arriving before the Dean’s memorial hall.

The Dean of Baihu Academy only left behind one piece of equipment. The old man had risked his life against that Divine-level Boss.

The Dean’s body had exploded, turning into blobs of blood mist. Besides this one piece of equipment, he left nothing else behind.

“Who are you?”

“How did you get in?”

Just as Su Bai was about to enter the memorial hall, he saw a young man appear before him, blocking his path.

“I’m here to pay my respects to the old man.”

“My name is Su Bai.”

Hearing this, Su Bai spoke.

“Is that you?”

“You are the Prince Who Rivals the Emperor?”

“Did you kill the Divine-level Boss?”

Just then, another man walked in. He looked at Su Bai, a hint of excitement on his face.

“I still arrived late.”

Su Bai waved his hand, changing the subject.

“I saw you at the school championship.”

The young man nodded, signaling his companion to step back.

Su Bai picked up the incense on the table, lit it, and respectfully offered a stick of incense to the old man.

“Thank you. If it weren’t for you, Baihu City would have been in grave danger this time.”

The young man cupped his hands towards Su Bai, a hint of respect in his eyes.

“You’re welcome, I’ll be leaving now.”

Su Bai, dragging his weary body, turned and walked out of the academy.

Walking all the way to the teleportation array, the scene was desolate, with every household suffering in pain.

Su Bai listened to the heart-wrenching wails, subconsciously clenching his fists.

“I absolutely cannot swallow this anger just like that.”

His eyes revealed an unprecedented killing intent, and the aura around him became exceptionally sharp.

No matter what, he would make these people from the White Eagle Empire pay the price.

Thinking this, Su Bai stepped into the teleportation array.

The old men standing beside the teleportation array began to infuse energy into it.

White light flashed, and Su Bai’s figure disappeared from Baihu City.
