136: The news spread

As time gradually passed, the news slowly spread.

“Haven’t you heard? It seems His Majesty sent troops and directly annihilated the White Eagle Empire.”

“Are you kidding me? What kind of power is the White Eagle Empire? How could it be annihilated?”

“Exactly. Such a massive empire, just annihilated like that? Your joke isn’t funny at all.”

“Putting aside everything else, just based on their apparent strength, the White Eagle Empire is absolutely the strongest among many empires. It’s simply wishful thinking to want to annihilate such a formidable empire.”

“I agree with this brother’s statement. The White Eagle Empire has as many as forty Nine Revolutions experts, which is something other empires cannot compare to at all.”

Upon hearing this rumor, everyone’s first reaction was disbelief.

How could a vast and enormous empire be annihilated just like that, especially when its strength was so formidable?

In the past two years, the White Eagle Empire had been very active among various countries, even contacting many smaller nations, all for the purpose of countering the Meteor Empire.

The two countries were very close, and coupled with their constant antagonism, everyone had a good understanding of the White Eagle Empire.

“It’s true. I can’t contact my friends over there now. Something must have happened to them.”

“Something happening doesn’t necessarily mean the country was annihilated. It could be due to other reasons.”

“That’s right, you can’t make such a hasty judgment.”

“Although the official announcement hasn’t been made, I’ve gathered some information from my friend.”

The man looked at his friend beside him, took a deep breath, and spoke softly.

“What information?”

As soon as he spoke, everyone immediately became interested.

Gossip is human nature; no one can escape it.

“Don’t you know?”

“I heard someone led numerous ministers to storm the palace, all because of the four secondary main cities.”

“These four secondary main cities were almost destroyed, which enraged many ministers who personally entered the palace to meet the Imperial Capital’s Emperor. I heard the mastermind was someone from the White Eagle Empire.”

“His Majesty was also forced into a corner and had no choice but to act.”

He looked at the people in front of him and explained softly.

As soon as he spoke, everyone couldn’t help but frown, a hint of solemnity flashing in their eyes.

If that were truly the case, then a National War between the two countries was indeed possible.

...

...

“How is it? Is there any unusual movement from the starry sky?”

The Meteor Emperor looked at a strand of white hair at his temple, then glanced at the endless starry sky above his head, and asked softly.

“Reporting to Your Majesty, there has been no movement from the starry sky yet. Presumably, those important figures haven’t received the news yet. What should we do next?”

Looking at His Majesty in front of him, the servant quickly shook his head.

“Do as we should.”

“My Meteor Empire has been passed down for over a thousand years. How could it fear a few minor Nine Revolutions experts?”

“If they want to come, then let them come. I’ll see if they truly have the ability to make our Meteor Empire’s legacy end here.”

“Moreover, I don’t believe these Old guys would give up their good ten thousand years of lifespan just to fight us to the death.”

Emperor Yuxing looked at the sky, a hint of coldness in his eyes.

The White Eagle Empire was completely different from the Meteor Empire. They didn’t care about family heritage, nor did they care about so-called kinship or bloodlines.

The only things they cared about were their own strength and whether they could become high and mighty gods.

If it were the Meteor Empire, the situation would be completely reversed.

If you dare to destroy one city, I dare to slaughter your entire country.

At the same time, above the starry sky.

“Lord Lawrence, the White Eagle Empire has been annihilated.”

More than a dozen experts stood above the starry sky, and a man looked at the crowd and said coldly.

“What did you say?”

“Who did it?”

“What is that guy, the Great Priest, doing? The country has been annihilated?”

“No, who has such great ability to annihilate our White Eagle Empire?”

Those people looked at the middle-aged man in front of them and couldn’t help but frown.

“It should be the Meteor Empire that made the move!”

“That idiot, the Great Priest, is a fool. All he knows is to jump around all day. He truly doesn’t understand the value of the four ancient kingdoms.”

“Does he really think those ancient empires are so easy to bully?”

The Old guy stroked the beard on his chest and sighed deeply.

“You guessed correctly, it was the Meteor Empire.”

Upon hearing this, the man nodded gently, a hint of solemnity flashing in his eyes.

“I know about this matter. You may leave now.”

The Old guy nodded and waved his hand at the middle-aged man.

“Lord, we cannot let this matter rest. They annihilated our empire, so we naturally must teach them a lesson.”

“That’s right, Lord. We are now rootless. Are we just going to watch the culprits get away with it?”

“At worst, we’ll fight to the death. I’ll die with them.”

...

...

Everyone was enraged, clenching their fists and roaring hysterically.

“It’s useless. You don’t understand the power of the four ancient kingdoms. Their foundations completely exceed our imagination.”

“Even if more than 20 of our Nine Revolutions experts act together, it’s impossible to shake the foundation of the Meteor Empire.”

Upon hearing this, Lawrence sighed, a hint of helplessness flashing in his eyes.

If he had known the situation would be like this, he would never have brought that idiot, the Great Priest, back to the empire to wield great power.

If it weren’t for him insisting on jumping around, how could the Meteor Empire have gone berserk and attacked?

“Are they really that strong?”

As soon as this was said, everyone felt a murmur in their hearts.

Since the ancient empire’s strength was so formidable, why had they always shown weakness?

“It’s more than strong; it’s outrageously strong.”

“You all know what happened back then. A thousand countries had to act together to counter the Meteor Empire at that time and make it fall into decline.”

“How can a few of us possibly shake this behemoth?”

The Old guy looked in the direction below the starry sky and took a deep breath.

The best way now was to rejoin other empires and find a way to restore the glory of the White Eagle Empire.

“Lord Lawrence, are we just going to endure this matter then?”

A man clenched his fists, anger showing in his eyes.

“Of course not. We still need to teach the Meteor Empire a lesson. Follow me.”

A huge spaceship appeared before them. The spaceship emitted a dazzling light and instantly vanished above the endless starry sky.
