155: Blood Crystal
“Blood… Crystal… Vault…”
Li Wen stammered as he read the somewhat convoluted words.
Lin Shu and Chu Yu looked at them thoughtfully, making connections.
At the same time, the sweet aroma grew even stronger.
Clearly, its source was within this Blood Crystal Vault.
Gu Li’s eyes narrowed slightly; the name made him think of something.
He had clearly understood what was inside.
He also sensed the restriction that had once been on the red door.
It was meant to protect the items within.
Unfortunately, due to the passage of time, it was long useless.
He then gestured to Dao Yao, signaling him to force the door open.
“Step back.”
Hearing this, the others obediently moved away from the red door’s vicinity.
Dao Yao stood in front, casually raising his hand, and an extremely sharp blade light shot out.
Black Night Saturn, standing to the side, watched the blade light with gleaming eyes.
“Crack, crack, crack.”
It was as easy and effortless as cutting a block of tofu.
The force was just right, and the precision was perfect.
The massive red stone door shattered neatly into countless fragments.
Immediately, smoke filled the air. Dao Yao moved his hand again, sweeping to the left, and the smoke instantly dissipated.
This allowed everyone to see what was inside.
Lights flickered continuously within, and the entire scene exuded a blood-red hue.
The interior space wasn’t too large, equivalent to an ordinary room.
It was exquisitely decorated, forming a stark contrast with the outside view.
In the center were two rows of cabinets.
Most of them were empty.
Only in a few scattered compartments were there crystal-clear glass bottles, like crystal.
Compared to glass, they appeared thicker and of a higher quality, likely made of some rare material.
Inside each glass bottle was a crimson crystal, dripping with fresh red.
Within the crystal, a blood-like liquid flowed slowly.
There was even a hint of golden light flickering within it.
At first glance, it seemed extraordinary.
The four entered one after another, their primary target being the red crystals.
Beside them, everyone’s Beasts also became excited, seemingly influenced by what was inside.
Black Night Saturn and Ziyu restrained their inner stirrings, not moving rashly.
Dao Yao acted as if nothing was amiss, appearing very relaxed.
Gu Li saw this scene and secretly thought that his guess was indeed correct.
He looked at Lin Shu and the others’ slightly puzzled gazes.
He began to explain:
“These things are Blood Crystals.”
“They are items made from the Beasts of the previous Beast tide.”
“Even a small piece like this cannot be made without a hundred Beasts.”
Li Wen and Chu Yu were somewhat dumbfounded; these Otherworlders’ methods were truly without limits.
“Animals!”
Even everyone’s Beasts showed angry expressions, appearing somewhat upset.
They felt deeply ashamed of their previous behavior.
They were not treating them seriously enough!
Gu Li had seen such scenes too many times and no longer showed any emotionalfluctuation. He had experienced even more horrific events; what was before him was merely average.
“Otherworlders have always been like this, resorting to any means to improve themselves. Even father and son can turn against each other for resources.”
“However, these Blood Crystals are good things.”
“They greatly enhance Beasts below the Seventh Order.”
“But they are addictive to a certain extent. Beasts with weak willpower can easily fall victim, so you shouldn’t think about using these.”
Lin Shu waved his hand; no matter how great the enhancement, could it compare to adding points?
There was no comparison at all; he naturally wouldn’t use any crooked methods.
Li Wen and Chu Yu also looked very disgusted.
Whoever wanted such things could have them; they certainly didn’t.
Even if the effect was good, with the side effect of addiction, it was just trash.
“Mentor, you should handle these.”
“We’re not interested in any of this.”
Lin Shu saw their expressions and naturally understood their thoughts.
He immediately spoke, letting Gu Li handle these.
“Alright, since you can’t control yourselves, I will.”
“It just so happens that my advanced bait is running out. This stuff, when made into bait, will be even more effective.”
“It might allow me to catch some big ones…”
Gu Li gladly accepted. If he used them, they wouldn’t harm others.
And it could contribute to his great fishing endeavor, wouldn’t that be wonderful?
He then quickly walked to the cabinets.
He collected the remaining five glass bottles.
He had a slight smile on his face, looking somewhat satisfied.
Aside from these Blood Crystals, there was nothing else in the room.
The three thoroughly searched the interior. After finding nothing, they left.
The four then continued their search in this small world.
Along the way, Gu Li also recognized the name of this Otherworld faction.
He walked at the forefront, explaining as he went.
“It can be confirmed that this Otherworld was once a breeding ground for the Red Blood Sect.”
“And this small space was used to store Blood Crystals and as a contact point for their high-ranking members.”
For Gu Li to mention it, the Red Blood Sect must have been a powerful and strong faction.
Otherwise, he wouldn’t have wasted his breath on the few of them.
They looked at Gu Li with interest, anticipating his next words.
“Then Mentor, among the Otherworlder factions we fought against before, was the Red Blood Sect one of them?”
Li Wen’s mind raced, and he quickly asked this question.
Lin Shu and Chu Yu also perked up their ears, ready to listen quietly.
Their understanding of such information was clearly still too little.
This was also related to the Great Xia officials; information about the previous war was largely not disclosed at all.
Gu Li pondered how to answer. He glanced at the three and decided to tell them.
Learning more about the Otherworlders would do them no harm.
After all, they were all Beastmasters with excellent Talents. They were almost certain to reach the Spirit Origin Level, and in the future, they would most likely encounter the opposing side.
He then slowly began to speak:
“Hmm, Li Wen is quite right.”
“Everyone in the Red Blood Sect is a lunatic, and their Beasts are the same.”
“They are especially skilled in blood manipulation, which is extremely vicious and difficult to defend against.”
“They caused Great Xia a lot of trouble back then.”
“They have many members, but most are low-level and not to be feared.”
The name Red Blood Sect alone suggested that the Otherworlders’ methods were mostly related to blood.
They specialized in this art.
However, without experiencing a true confrontation, it was difficult to truly understand this feeling.
“Mentor, how do we identify them then?”
When Lin Shu heard about the Red Blood Sect’s methods, a slight image already appeared in his mind.
Blood manipulation was not only fatal to Beasts but even more terrifying to Beastmasters.
Gu Li naturally held nothing back from Lin Shu.
He immediately replied:
“Their characteristics are particularly obvious.”
“Most internal members wear blood-red robes, and there is a blood-patterned mark on their foreheads.”
“This cannot be concealed. The more blood patterns there are, the stronger their power.”
These characteristics were indeed obvious. The Red Blood Sect’s demeanor indicated that they had no intention of hiding their identity at all.
Or perhaps they disdained to do so.
“I see.”
Lin Shu noted these down. Who knew, in a year or two, he might encounter a Red Blood Sect Otherworlder.
Li Wen and Chu Yu did the same, remembering everything that had just been said.
One could not be careless about the threat of the Otherworlders.
After all, they were the enemies of everyone in Great Xia.
Gu Li saw the serious expressions on the other two’s faces and couldn’t help but think of his past self.
He, too, had once regarded all Otherworlders as a major concern.
But after truly understanding them, he realized that...
Most Beastmasters among the Otherworlders were weak.
Only that small, top-tier group were the truly terrifying existences.
After all, resources were all acquired by them.
It was already light if the people below weren’t starved to death...
