75: Evolve the Dark Hunter! (Part 2)

Unlike the dire situation of the evolution on Meihu Island.

At this moment, Gu Li had just emerged from a complete Otherworld and was now strolling through a commercial street in Zhongzhou.

He had been inside for days, too busy to check on his good student, so he quickly pulled out his phone from his Space Ring and started searching.

Sure enough, Lin Shu had sent several messages.

He quickly clicked into them, only to find that the content was all about helping to find Space-attribute materials.

This puzzled him. Subsequent messages added that the materials had already been found and that the evolution process had begun today.

Seeing this, Gu Li also grinned.

"What a big surprise."

"This speed of advancement is something even I envy."

A look of emotion appeared on his face, and then he began to reply to other people's messages.

He processed them very quickly, finishing in just a few minutes, with only Wu Song left.

The message interface showed an image, which made Gu Li a bit curious.

What did this guy send?

Immediately, a photo of Lin Shu's triangular ritual setup appeared in his view.

There was also a message attached.

"This ritual looks very powerful!"

Gu Li's brows furrowed. With just one glance, he knew this was not the evolution method prepared for Lin Shu's Black Obsidian Battle Mantis.

So, what method was being used for evolution now?

Things concerning evolution couldn't be trifled with. At best, it would result in injury and failed evolution; at worst, it could lead to instant death, affecting the Beastmaster.

No evolutionary path was simply created by changing a few materials; each was a painstaking process of gradual development.

"Messing around, how foolish!"

"Lin Shu doesn't understand, but don't you, Wu Song, understand either?"

Now was not the time to be angry. Gu Li immediately tried to contact Lin Shu and Wu Song via text and voice messages.

However, there was no response; apparently, they didn't have their phones with them.

Gu Li made a decisive move, summoning his Beast, the White Feather Spirit Falcon.

He then stepped onto it, directing the little white falcon towards Haizhou.

Its originally slender body slowly expanded during flight, eventually stirring up a strong gust of wind.

This attracted the attention of passersby, who gasped in surprise and looked up at the sky.

Gu Li had no time to concern himself with this; he only wanted to reach Haizhou quickly to check on the situation.

Spirit Origin-level Beastmasters could summon their Beasts anytime, anywhere, provided they did not harm civilians indiscriminately.

Behind him, a team of law enforcement officers arrived to manage the scene, dispersing the crowd.

Looking up at the sky.

In the inky black night sky, a dark shadow streaked through the sea of clouds at an extremely fast speed.

At this speed, it would take until early morning the next day to reach Meihu Island... At this moment, in the venue, black and white orbs flashed continuously, with alternating black and white lights emanating from within.

No sound came from inside.

It was now four o'clock the next day.

This situation had been going on for three hours.

Lin Shu looked at the scene before him, estimating that the evolution was nearing its end.

The appearance of this form indicated that Black Night had withstood the test and was slowly transforming, completing the final step of evolution.

It was only because of the information within the path that Lin Shu wasn't more anxious than anyone else right now.

Wu Song and Double-Bladed Mantis, whose hearts had been hanging, slowly relaxed.

Seeing Lin Shu's somewhat joyful expression, this evolution should be free of any accidents.

However, the duration was a bit too long; this evolution had been going on for nearly 12 hours, making them feel a bit sleepy.

After almost another hour of waiting, the scene finally changed.

The black and white orb made "kaka" sounds, as if it could shatter at any moment.

The black and white spots that had originally appeared on its surface now all condensed, merged, and separated.

The interior of the orb was divided into two, one half a deep, inky black like night, the other a mysterious and profound silver-white.

They slowly intertwined and spun on the surface at an extremely fast speed, so fast that only a swirling vortex could be seen gradually forming.

"Bang!"

As if reaching its limit, the orb glowed intensely, and two extremely diluted, faint energies erupted simultaneously.

The entire venue was covered in darkness and silver-white, dazzling to the extreme, making it impossible to open one's eyes.

Lin Shu, prepared, covered his eyes, only forgetting to remind Brother Wu...

"My eyes are going blind!"

A moment later, the light dissipated, revealing a completely transformed Black Night.

Mist-like black vapor followed Black Night's movements, floating and dancing up and down, while silver-white light flickered continuously on his arms, merging into him.

His physique grew taller and more imposing. Above his original black scales, a layer of bone armor seemed to have been added.

Dense, small bone spikes were evenly distributed across his body, with silver-white cloud patterns crisscrossing in an orderly fashion, covering his form.

"Bang!"

Four inky black wings suddenly appeared behind Black Night. The black wings moved without wind.

Their surface was smooth as a mirror, emitting a dark sheen, conveying a sense of sharp deadliness.

The biggest difference, however, was in the two "scythes" he originally held in his hands.

The tips were now entirely suffused with silver-white, featuring sharp edges and elegant, natural lines, as if he truly held a pair of sharp, silver-white blades.

Black Night slowly opened his eyes, which appeared slightly larger. A rotating triangle flickered deep within his pupils, emitting a faint silver-white light.

A relentless smile on his face, he immediately went to Lin Shu's side, seeking encouragement and praise.

His tall body meant Lin Shu's head only reached Black Night's abdomen, requiring an upward gaze to see his full form.

Although he had completed his evolution, he still carefully picked up Lin Shu in a fawning manner and placed him on his shoulder.

The touch was a bit uncomfortable, with many small, hard substances underneath.

He began to celebrate with Lin Shu, dancing with joy.

Lin Shu began to check Black Night's panel attributes after evolution.

After completing the evolution, he even awakened an Intermediate Space-type skill!

This was indeed a pleasant surprise, something Lin Shu had long anticipated.

On the other side, Wu Song was already dumbfounded, momentarily unable to react.

Black Night's unique and cool appearance was definitely not that of a Black Obsidian Battle Mantis.

He was much cooler than it.

This meant Lin Shu was using a new evolutionary path, which explained why Space-type materials were needed.

Wu Song suddenly realized and understood.

At this moment, Double-Bladed Mantis quickly ran over and used his forearms to touch Black Night.

He actually felt a threat from him, which was incredible.

His triangular head was full of confusion and bewilderment...
