90: The whole story, and the anger of the two people
Jiang Chuan heard the man's words and looked towards him.
The man was thin, his face marked by hardship and fatigue. His condition was very poor; he looked like an old man in his sixties. His back was hunched, his eyes unfocused, but when he looked at them, a spark reappeared.
"Hello, Old Yang, I am Pingdan Thirteen."
Jiang Chuan looked at the cautious elderly man, stepped forward with a smile, and immediately grasped the man's trembling hands.
Old Yang watched his hands being held by Jiang Chuan. He tried to pull them back, but Jiang Chuan held them tightly and said, "Old Yang, don't worry. Since I have come here this time, I will definitely help you overcome this difficulty and ensure the villains receive the punishment they deserve."
"Thank you, Boss Thirteen."
Old Yang felt the strength coming from Jiang Chuan's grip and did not try to pull his hands back with force. Hearing Jiang Chuan's words, this pillar of the family quietly began to sob.
When a person finds hope at their most desperate moment, that is when they are the most vulnerable.
"Ding! Congratulations to the host for receiving one sincere expression of gratitude."
Jiang Chuan did not interrupt Old Yang's release of emotion, and Xu Jia also stood watching from the side...
"Boss Thirteen, this young man has made you witness a spectacle."
Old Yang's sadness did not last more than a few minutes. He wiped away the tears from the corners of his eyes and apologized to the two men.
"Old Yang, you don't need to call me Boss Thirteen anymore."
"My name is Jiang Chuan, and his name is Xu Jia."
"You can call us Little Jiang and Xiao Xu."
Jiang Chuan watched as Old Yang's emotions calmed down, and he smiled as he spoke.
"How can I do that!"
"I've watched some TV dramas, and people refer to gentlemen like you as Young Master."
"I will call you Young Master Jiang and Young Master Xu instead."
Old Yang did not dare call them Little Jiang and Xu Jia. After a brief thought, he spoke cautiously to the two of them.
"Call us whatever you prefer."
Jiang Chuan said with a wry smile, not dwelling on the matter of titles.
Old Yang then invited Jiang Chuan and Xu Jia into the ward.
The ward was small, containing only one hospital bed and two wooden stools beside it. There was nothing else in the room.
"Old Yang, who are they?"
When the three entered the room, the middle-aged woman inside saw that Jiang Chuan and Xu Jia were well-dressed and clearly not ordinary people, so she asked cautiously.
"Wife, they are here to help us."
Old Yang heard his wife's question and immediately explained to her.
Old Yang's wife heard his words and greeted Jiang Chuan and the other man warmly. Although she had already lost all hope, if someone was willing to help them, she naturally wouldn't turn them away.
After Jiang Chuan and the other man exchanged greetings with Old Yang's wife, they looked at the girl lying on the hospital bed.
The girl had a pure and lovely face, as delicate and tender as a flower blooming in spring. However, her complexion was currently as pale as paper, devoid of any color, as if all her vitality had been drained, evoking pity. Her tightly closed eyes, with long eyelashes slightly trembling, suggested she was enduring unspeakable agony, making one's heart ache for her.
"Old Yang, please tell us the specific situation."
Jiang Chuan and Xu Jia sighed after glancing at the girl on the bed who looked to be in pain even with her eyes closed. They spoke to Old Yang, and the three men walked out of the ward.
"Alright."
Old Yang heard Jiang Chuan's words, a pained expression appeared on his face, and he finally spoke slowly.
"This incident happened a month ago."
"Rong'er got into the City No. 1 High School for senior high with her excellent scores from our county's middle school. Rong'er's mother and I were overjoyed and naturally supported our daughter going to a better school."
"Rong'er would come home every week. The first time she came back, her mother noticed she was acting strangely. Her mother asked what had happened, but Rong'er didn't answer her."
"The second week Rong'er came home, she voluntarily told us that a male classmate was trying to pursue her and wanted her to be his girlfriend."
"When we heard this news, we didn't take it seriously, thinking it was just a joke. After all, Rong'er and the others were too young to understand romance, so we didn't worry about it."
"The third week Rong'er came home, we discovered she had some injuries from being hit. We pressed Rong'er, but she only told us that she had accidentally fallen. We were busy running our braised food business, working hard from dawn till dusk, so we were busy and tired, and naturally, we didn't pay much attention."
"During the fourth week, the National Day holiday arrived. When Rong'er came home this time, she had even more injuries, and her face was swollen. After repeated questioning, we finally learned the truth."
"Rong'er refused to become his girlfriend, so the boy actually ordered a group of students to beat my daughter every day, trying to force her to be his girlfriend. But my daughter has a strong, unyielding personality like mine, so she naturally wouldn't agree."
"As a result, Rong'er was continuously beaten for half a month. When Rong'er came home this time, not only was she covered in bruises from the beatings, but they had also sexually assaulted my daughter."
"When I learned this news, I naturally couldn't just sit there. I called the police, hoping the Official Authorities would help, but the Official Authorities told us that we didn't have any evidence to prove this was done by the other party, and they could not open an investigation."
"I certainly couldn't give up, so I went to the city, and then to the province, hoping to seek justice for my daughter and have these villains face legal punishment."
"But not a single department was willing to handle our case; they all passed the buck."
"I realized there was no way to seek help from the Official Authorities. Following Rong'er's idea, I tried to use the internet to stir up public opinion and seek justice for my daughter. But as soon as we posted the video online, the Official Authorities immediately blocked the content and banned our account..."
"When I was at my wit's end, I found Steel Gun King, hoping he could help us."
"Steel Gun King found media outlets for us and asked his fans to help spread the word, hoping to attract the attention of the High-Level Official."
"However, the other party had immense power. They managed to scare the media into not exposing the incident, and the videos spread by fans in the groups were blocked immediately. Even Steel Gun King received threats."
"This incident involving Steel Gun King angered the other party, who sent over a dozen thugs to smash up our home and shop. Even my wife and I were severely beaten and threatened."
"After all this, my wife and I knew that seeking justice was impossible. But Steel Gun King told me not to give up; he said he would actively contact you, and as long as you were willing to help us, we still had hope. That's why I brought my family to this remote village and have been waiting for hope to arrive."
Old Yang recounted the entire sequence of events without exaggeration or embellishment.
"A bunch of damned scoundrels, they are trying to push people to their deaths!"
"Don't worry, Old Yang. Since we know about this, we will certainly help you resolve everything."
Before Jiang Chuan could speak, Xu Jia said this, utterly furious.
"That's right, Old Yang. Since we have arrived here, you don't need to worry about anything anymore. I want to see if these people can truly put themselves above the law!"
Jiang Chuan also spoke solemnly to Old Yang, clearly telling him that since he was aware of the matter, he would resolve it completely.
Old Yang listened to Jiang Chuan and Xu Jia's words, his eyes reddening as he looked at the two men, silently choking up.
