262: Chapter 261 The Old Fox of the Chu Family Appears

11:00 AM.

Top floor office of Qinsheng Building.

Gu Qianqian stood before the floor-to-ceiling window, holding the supplementary clauses just sent from Shanxi. Her white silk shirt clung to her waistline, and her slim skirt hugged her legs neatly.

Qin Feng leaned on the sofa, his phone screen paused on a message from an unknown number.

Zijin Mountain Private Banquet Hall.

Someone from the Chu family wants to see you.

There is more than one person who wants to kill you, Chu Zhengyang.

Gu Qianqian put down the document and turned to look at him.

"Who?"

Qin Feng handed her the phone.

Gu Qianqian finished reading, and her brows furrowed.

"Someone inside the Chu family?"

"Yes."

"Things just went wrong for Chu Zhengyang, and someone from the Chu family comes to deliver a message. It's too coincidental."

Qin Feng took back his phone and smiled.

"Whether it's a coincidence doesn't matter. What matters is that he is anxious."

Gu Qianqian walked up to him and looked down at him.

"Are you going?"

"I am."

"Are you taking anyone with you?"

"No."

Gu Qianqian stared at him, her lips pressed tight.

"Qin Feng, do you think your life is that cheap?"

Qin Feng didn't take the bait, his tone leveling out.

"If Chu Weigang really wanted to kill me, he wouldn't have sent this message first."

"How are you sure it's Chu Weigang?"

"There aren't many people in the Chu family who dare to put a price on Chu Zhengyang."

Gu Qianqian was silent for two seconds.

"I'm going with you."

"No."

"Qin Feng."

"You stay at Qinsheng."

Qin Feng looked at her.

"The Shanxi contract needs supplementary clauses today, and Inner Mongolia will return with a second quote this afternoon. You need to be at the company."

Gu Qianqian's face was cold.

"Are you using work to pressure me?"

"It's not pressure; it's that only you can keep them in check."

As these words fell, Gu Qianqian's expression softened slightly.

She hated being protected like an ornament.

Qin Feng's words, however, struck exactly where she cared most.

"Then at least let security follow."

"I will have people from Qinsheng on the perimeter."

"What about inside the hall?"

"I'll go in alone."

Gu Qianqian pursed her lips and reached out to straighten his shirt collar.

Halfway through the action, she stopped herself.

Qin Feng looked down at her.

"Is President Gu concerned about me?"

Gu Qianqian pulled her hand back.

"I'm afraid that if the financial backer behind Qinsheng dies outside, it will affect the company's valuation."

"Stubborn."

"Get lost."

Qin Feng smiled, picked up his coat, and walked out.

As he passed her, he casually brushed her hair from her cheek behind her ear, his fingertips grazing the auricle without stopping.

Gu Qianqian's shoulders tensed up.

Qin Feng had already reached the door.

Gu Qianqian spoke from behind him.

"Qin Feng."

He paused.

"Hmm?"

"Don't trust anyone in the Chu family."

Qin Feng didn't look back, just raised his hand.

"Received."

...

The Zijin Mountain Private Banquet Hall was hidden halfway up the mountain.

The car stopped outside the courtyard. When Qin Feng got out, two men in dark suits at the entrance glanced at him.

One of them stepped forward.

"Mr. Qin?"

"Yes."

"Mr. Chu is waiting for you inside."

Qin Feng scanned the cameras on both sides of the courtyard gate.

The location chosen was clean.

No idlers.

No extra cars.

This wasn't a meal; it was a test of blades.

He followed the man in the suit through the wooden corridor and pushed open the door to the innermost private room.

Chu Weigang had already arrived.

There was no wine or food on the table, just a pot of clear tea and two white porcelain cups.

Chu Weigang sat in the main seat, his gray Chinese-style jacket buttoned to the collar, his secretary standing beside him.

Seeing Qin Feng enter, Chu Weigang didn't stand up, just raised his hand slightly.

"Mr. Qin, sit."

Qin Feng pulled out a chair and sat down.

"No need for pleasantries, let's get straight to it."

Chu Weigang picked up the teapot and poured a cup for Qin Feng.

"Young people are direct; it saves time."

Qin Feng didn't touch the tea.

"You didn't ask me here to drink tea."

Chu Weigang looked at him.

"Chu Zhengyang caused trouble in Jinling."

"Just trouble?"

"Abnormal capital allocation; the family is investigating internally."

Qin Feng smiled.

"Three bridge companies in Qianhai: Tianqing, Runda, and Jiahe."

Chu Weigang's hand pouring the tea paused for a beat.

Qin Feng continued.

"Three layers of BVI SPVs, transit through Singapore, and finally into a Cayman offshore trust."

"Over eighteen months, the visible flow on the books is 4.7 billion."

The secretary's face changed, and he took a half-step forward.

"Mr. Qin, some things shouldn't be said recklessly."

Qin Feng didn't even look at him.

"Whether I'm speaking recklessly or not, you can ask your boss."

Chu Weigang looked up and glanced at the secretary.

"Get out."

The secretary hesitated, his lips moving.

"Get out."

The secretary lowered his head.

"Yes."

The door was closed.

Only two people were left in the private room.

Chu Weigang put down the teapot, the bottom of the cup hitting the tabletop with a soft sound.

"Mr. Qin has more accounts in his hands than I thought."

"Enough to use."

"Are they complete?"

Qin Feng looked up.

"You want to test my bottom line?"

Chu Weigang picked up his teacup and took a slow sip.

"The Chu family has to handle Chu family matters; we always need to know how much wind is blowing outside."

Qin Feng leaned back, his fingers resting on the edge of the table.

"Then let me ask one thing."

Chu Weigang looked at him.

"Speak."

"Is the Chu family willing to admit that this is Chu Zhengyang's personal action?"

"Or is the Chu family prepared to drag the entire family in to shoulder this 4.7 billion?"

Chu Weigang put down his teacup.

"Mr. Qin, your words are too heavy."

"Not heavy."

Qin Feng looked at him.

"Chu Zhengyang used Prosperity to launder money, and Prosperity is now Qinsheng."

"He touched my company, snatched my projects, and now he wants to touch my people."

"It is very reasonable for me to ask for the Chu family's stance."

Chu Weigang didn't answer immediately.

After a few seconds, he spoke.

"Family matters, the Chu family will handle them."

"It is not appropriate for outsiders to intervene too deeply."

The smile on Qin Feng's face faded a little.

"When your Chu family handed a gun to my head, why didn't you think that it was inappropriate for outsiders to overstep?"

Qin Feng took out his phone from his pocket, pulled up a screenshot, and pushed it to the center of the table.

On the screen was a string of transit node numbers.

Login time.

Eleven seconds.

Base station affiliation.

Jinling.

Chu Weigang's gaze fell on the screen.

He didn't reach out, just looked for three seconds.

Qin Feng took a USB drive out of his inner pocket and placed it next to the phone.

The USB drive and the phone screen were placed side by side.

"Dug out of the gunman's phone."

"And this."

"Inside is what your Audit Team wants to see."

Chu Weigang finally looked up.

"The gunman is in your hands?"

Qin Feng didn't answer.

Chu Weigang asked again.

"Alive?"

Qin Feng picked up the teacup and took a sip this time.

The tea tasted bland.

"Mr. Chu, what you should be asking now is not whether he is alive."

Chu Weigang narrowed his eyes.

"Then what should I ask?"

"Ask how many more loopholes Chu Zhengyang has patched."

Chu Weigang laughed, however.

The laugh was very short.

"Saving face for the Chu family?"

"Yes."

Qin Feng nodded.

"You handling Chu Zhengyang yourselves is called a family matter."

"Me handing over the accounts and the shooting clues is called a Chu family scandal."

Chu Weigang's fingers stopped at the edge of the teacup.

"What do you want?"

Qin Feng looked at him, his tone steady.

"I want Chu Zhengyang to never be able to flip over again."

Chu Weigang looked at Qin Feng.

"Mr. Qin, your appetite is not small."

"He was the one who overturned the table first."

"Chu Zhengyang is, after all, a member of the Chu family."

"That is why I am sitting here now."

Qin Feng pushed the USB drive forward half an inch.

"You want to strip his power, I'll give you the knife."

"If you want to protect him, I'll hand it to someone else."

Chu Weigang's eyes darkened slightly.

"Hand it to whom?"

"The Audit Team."

Qin Feng paused.

"Or, those in the Chu family who have been kept in the dark by him for three years."

Chu Weigang picked up the teapot and added another cup for Qin Feng.

"It is a good thing for young people to have an edge."

Qin Feng looked at the tea in the cup.

"Old foxes talk a lot, usually because the chips are not enough."

Chu Weigang's fingers paused.

"Aren't you afraid that I will keep you here today?"

Qin Feng looked up.

"You won't."

"Reason."

"You want to take Chu Zhengyang, you don't want to clean up his mess regarding the shooting."

Qin Feng picked up his phone and tapped his fingertip on the string of numbers.

"Before I came in, this had already been backed up."

"If I don't come out in an hour, Qinsheng will receive it."

"You can guess who Gu Qianqian will send it to."

Chu Weigang was silent for a moment.

"She dares?"

Qin Feng smiled.

"She even dared to snatch Chu Zhengyang's contract, what do you think?"

Chu Weigang did not refute this time.

He had checked the name Gu Qianqian before coming.

Someone from Wall Street leaves no loose ends in their work.

Qin Feng putting her at Qinsheng was not just for show.

She was a scabbard, and also a second blade.

Chu Weigang put down the teacup.

"I can push The Council to temporarily freeze all of Chu Zhengyang's allocation authority."

"Temporarily is not enough."

"Revoke his external affairs authority."

"Not enough."

"The Audit Team will enter his personal trust."

Qin Feng looked at him.

"I want him off the Chu family's poker table."

Chu Weigang didn't answer immediately.

He traced the rim of his cup with his finger, then looked up at Qin Feng.

"Mr. Qin, if Chu Zhengyang falls, half of the energy chain suppliers in the north will have to re-align."

"Qinsheng's energy sector has just taken down the orders for Shanxi and Inner Mongolia, and the foundation is not yet stable."

"Are you sure you can handle this shock?"

Qin Feng's finger paused on the edge of the table for a beat.

This was the first time Chu Weigang had actively played a card today.

This wasn't a threat; the old man was weighing things.

"I don't need to handle the whole chain."

Qin Feng looked at him.

"I only need to take down two of his core suppliers in the three months that Chu Zhengyang is out of the picture."

"The market will choose the rest itself."

Chu Weigang's gaze shifted.

"Then let's talk about the first step."

"What?"

"Before tomorrow afternoon, Chu Zhengyang cannot return to the capital to take power."

Chu Weigang stared at him.

"You want to pin him in Jinling?"

"No."

Qin Feng shook his head.

"I want him to be investigated first, then stripped of power, after he returns to the capital."

Chu Weigang slowly leaned back into his chair.

"You are more ruthless than I thought."

Qin Feng's tone was flat.

"The moment he touched Gu Qianqian, he should have thought of this."
