285: Chapter 284 Your boat is too small, so don't make a sound.
After boarding the main deck, the first thing Gu Qianqian saw was the heated swimming pool in the center of the deck.
The pool had a transparent glass bottom, allowing one to see the sea surface below.
Further ahead was the beach club area.
Sofas, a bar, a wine cabinet, and folding lounge chairs all had backrests covered in light-colored leather.
There were also two fixed grills nearby.
Gu Qianqian stood in place, silent.
Qin Feng set her down and instinctively supported her waist.
"Is your foot okay?"
"It's fine."
"Then don't go wandering off yet."
Gu Qianqian looked up.
"Do I look like the type to wander off?"
Qin Feng looked at her.
"You don't."
"You're just the type to boss people around."
Gu Qianqian didn't respond, taking two steps forward in her flat sandals.
The bandage was still on her ankle, so she walked slowly.
Qin Feng followed beside her, his hand never leaving the space half an inch from her back.
Gu Qianqian looked around.
"The flow from the aft platform to the beach club is good."
"Guests boarding from here won't pass through the owner's area."
"Business receptions and private receptions can be kept separate."
The captain immediately nodded.
"Ms. Gu is very professional."
Qin Feng glanced at him.
"President Gu knows the industry better than you do."
The captain's smile became more steady.
"Yes, Mr. Qin."
The captain led the way forward.
"Mr. Qin, the master suite is on the upper level. The terrace faces east, offering a view of the horizon."
"The master bedroom includes a private walk-in closet, a double bathroom, and a study."
"If Ms. Gu needs to work, we can bring up a spare monitor and a printer."
Gu Qianqian asked, "Can I connect to Qinsheng's internal network?"
The captain paused for a moment.
Qin Feng spoke up.
"Use the encrypted private line."
"I'll have the IT department grant temporary access."
"President Gu, you're still thinking about work even after boarding the boat?"
Gu Qianqian looked at him.
"Qinsheng isn't a boat you just bought."
"Of course I have to keep an eye on it."
Qin Feng smiled.
"Alright, President Gu, thank you for your hard work."
"I'll give you an extra treat later."
Gu Qianqian didn't say anything, but her ears flushed slightly.
Qin Feng saw it but didn't call her out.
There was no fun in calling her out at a time like this.
Better to save it; he could harvest more emotions later.
Qin Feng arranged for the departure, and then the two of them went to the top floor. As the door to the master suite opened, Gu Qianqian paused.
A full floor-to-ceiling window faced the sea directly.
The room had no unnecessary ornaments; the bed, desk, sofa, and wine cabinet were laid out cleanly.
At the far end was a sliding door leading to the terrace.
Outside the door were two lounge chairs, a round table, and an outdoor sound system.
As the sea breeze blew, the white gauze curtains drifted to the side.
Gu Qianqian walked to the window, her hand resting on the edge of the table.
"This view is quite good."
"As long as you like it."
After Qin Feng spoke, he pulled out a lounge chair for her.
"Sit down first."
Gu Qianqian leaned back in the chair, her fingers tapping twice on the armrest.
"Back at the pier, did you really intend to have a head-on collision with someone like Lin Hao?"
Qin Feng pulled over another chair and sat down.
"Head-on collision?"
"Is he even worthy?"
Gu Qianqian turned her head.
"You're quite vengeful."
"I also have a good memory."
"When someone overdoes the posturing in front of me, I'm usually not in a hurry."
Gu Qianqian stared at him.
"Waiting for what?"
Qin Feng raised his eyes.
"Waiting for him to stick his face out to be slapped."
Gu Qianqian couldn't help but let out a small laugh.
This man was best at exactly this.
He usually looked unresponsive, but when he actually moved, his blade always struck the most painful spot.
Soon, there was a knock at the door.
The captain brought in the dinner menu.
"Mr. Qin, the head chef is in place. Today's menu features caviar, blue lobster, Wagyu beef,"
"handmade pasta, and a bottle of romanée-conti."
Qin Feng took the menu and scanned it.
"Keep the blue lobster."
"Change the Wagyu to medium-rare."
"Don't put too much cream in the pasta."
The captain nodded.
"Understood."
Gu Qianqian looked up.
"You even know about this?"
"I don't."
Qin Feng said.
"I just know you don't like things that are too rich and cloying."
Gu Qianqian didn't speak, her fingers pinching the edge of the lounge chair.
She had seen this kind of detail many times before.
In New York, people had sent her ridiculously expensive meals.
But that kind of expense was more about putting a price tag on the table.
Qin Feng was different.
It was as if he had casually memorized her habits.
After the captain withdrew, the dining cart was soon pushed in.
Out on the top-floor terrace, the head chef, dressed in a white hat and uniform, was preparing the meal at the outdoor workstation.
As the flame was lit, the aroma of butter and seafood slowly wafted out.
Gu Qianqian glanced at the workstation.
"A terrace dinner is fine."
"But for business receptions, you need to control the cooking fumes."
"The kitchen is too close to the lounge area; when the wind is wrong, the smell will drift into the master bedroom."
The captain noted this down on a tablet.
"I will have the team adjust the layout plan."
Qin Feng placed the plate in front of Gu Qianqian, picked up a knife, and first removed the shrimp vein for her.
Gu Qianqian watched him.
"You're doing it personally?"
"Your foot is injured."
"My hands aren't broken."
"Even if your hands aren't broken, you can still have someone take care of you."
Qin Feng placed the peeled shrimp meat onto her plate.
"Eat."
Gu Qianqian took a bite, remaining silent.
After tasting it, she looked down at her plate and then at Qin Feng.
"Today, it really feels like you're raising me."
"If you want to understand it that way, that's fine too."
Qin Feng picked up his wine glass but didn't clink it against hers.
"Have a little first?"
Gu Qianqian took it and took a sip.
"Not bad."
"Then eat more."
On the distant sea, another boat was slowly sailing out of the harbor.
A seventy-two-meter hull was not small.
But compared to a ninety-meter one, it was still a good deal shorter.
Lin Hao sat in a deck chair, surrounded by three men and two women, with two influencers touching up their makeup.
He had just changed into a casual suit, his hair had been restyled, and they were already on their second bottle of champagne.
"See that?"
He swirled his glass, his tone very flat.
"A thirty-million-dollar deposit isn't something just anyone can pull out."
A girl in a spaghetti strap dress immediately chimed in.
"Young Master Lin is what you call low-key."
"That person at the pier earlier, dressed like a tourist, actually dared to challenge you."
Another man laughed along.
"That kind of person is just all talk."
"Once they're actually out at sea, they might not even be able to afford the berth rental."
Lin Hao tilted his chin up.
"Maintaining a boat is something outsiders don't understand."
"Being able to buy one and being able to maintain one are not the same thing."
"Some people like to swipe their card once to make a big splash."
"But when it comes to actual operations, they'll show their true colors within six months."
The influencer pointed her phone camera at him.
"Young Master Lin, then what level is this boat of yours?"
Lin Hao set his glass down on the table.
"This is called a social circle."
"Understand?"
"It's not that just anyone with money can get in."
The girl blinked.
"Then what about the one who bought three earlier?"
Lin Hao scoffed.
"A nouveau riche."
"Once he's done buying, that's it."
"Crew, maintenance, berthing, taxes—it's hundreds of millions a year."
"If he really dares to touch this industry, he'll know what burning money means by tomorrow."
Several friends immediately nodded.
"Young Master Lin explained it so clearly."
"Old players like you really know your stuff."
"Some people just don't know their place."
Hearing these words, the anger on Lin Hao's face finally subsided a little.
Just as he was about to say a few more words, the sea behind them suddenly darkened.
The people on the boat first looked up.
Then they all froze.
An even larger ship cut smoothly into the channel from behind.
The hull's lines were very clean, deck upon deck stacked up, and the sea platform at the stern had already been lowered.
The hull didn't look flashy under the sun; it simply possessed an overwhelming presence.
Lin Hao's friend spoke first.
"Holy crap, ninety meters?"
"Whose boat is this?"
The influencer's live stream camera tilted slightly.
As she clearly saw the identification number on the bow, the words died in her throat.
The comments were still scrolling.
She directly muted her microphone.
Lin Hao frowned, picked up the walkie-talkie, and asked the bridge.
"Whose boat is this, exactly?"
The bridge took a few seconds before responding.
"Mr. Lin, it's the ninety-meter stock yacht that Mr. Qin just bought."
"It's also on a sea trial tonight."
The deck fell silent.
The friend who had spoken the loudest just now put his champagne glass back on the table.
The girl in the spaghetti strap dress moved half a step to the side.
Another man looked down at his phone as if something incredibly urgent had suddenly come up.
The smile on Lin Hao's face could no longer be maintained.
"The same channel?"
The bridge replied very politely.
"Yes."
"The Exhibition Center just notified us that Mr. Qin's side has higher priority."
"We need to yield the main channel."
Lin Hao gripped the walkie-talkie, silent.
The ninety-meter yacht bore down from behind.
A twenty-meter difference was just a number at the pier.
On the sea, it was a wall.
Soon, the captain's voice came through the public channel.
"Mr. Lin, please have your vessel yield the channel to the right."
"Mr. Qin is conducting a sea trial test here."
