302: Chapter 301: Training the Beautiful Assassin in the Basement!

Qin Feng looked at the line of text sent by the Shen Family's butler on his phone.

He put his phone away.

Shen Bingtong saw the content on the screen from beside him and paused in her tracks.

"Are you going?"

Qin Feng pulled open the car door.

"I'm not going. Whoever wants to go can go."

Shen Bingtong was stunned.

"But Grandfather's side..."

Qin Feng sat in the passenger seat.

"He's the one looking for me, not the other way around."

He replied with a message.

"Didn't you forbid me from going last time? Now you're looking for me again. It's not convenient for me right now."

"Tell the old man that if he really has something, he can come to Qinsheng himself."

After sending it, he tossed his phone into the center console storage compartment.

The main hall of the Shen Family.

The butler looked at the screen, his hand pausing next to the teacup.

This message was hard to reply to.

And hard to relay.

Shen Chongshan sat in the main seat, the old jade beads stopping in his palm.

The butler lowered his head.

"Master, Mr. Qin has replied."

Shen Chongshan raised his eyes.

"Speak."

"The butler handed over the phone."

After reading it, Shen Chongshan rolled the jade beads in his palm.

"Young people."

He returned the phone to the butler.

"Quite a temper."

The butler didn't reply.

Shen Bingtong stood outside the passenger door holding the shopping bags, not getting in.

Qin Feng rolled down the window.

"Get in."

Shen Bingtong bit her lower lip.

"If you do this, the Shen Family will definitely feel they've lost face."

Qin Feng looked at her.

"So what if they lose face? What does that have to do with me?"

"If you're asking someone for a favor, you need to have the attitude of someone asking for a favor."

"I'm in no hurry."

Shen Bingtong knew Qin Feng was right.

But that was the Shen Family after all.

It was the place where she grew up, even if she was no longer a member of the Shen Family.

Qin Feng looked at her.

"Don't worry. As long as the Shen Family lowers their posture, I will definitely keep them safe."

He paused for half a second.

"Entirely for your sake."

Shen Bingtong's fingers relaxed.

"Thank you."

As Shen Bingtong drove the car out of the parking lot, Qin Feng's phone vibrated again.

A message from the Qinsheng security captain.

"Mr. Qin, Iris has been locked up for several days now and hasn't said a thing. She's eating and drinking normally, but she won't open her mouth no matter what we ask."

After reading it, Qin Feng put his phone in his pocket.

"Pull over ahead. Take a taxi back to Zhongshan International first."

Shen Bingtong took the phone and glanced at the screen.

"What's wrong?"

"There's a slight issue with that assassin from last time. I'm going to take a look."

"Are you going to interrogate her?"

Qin Feng parked the car by the roadside.

"I'm just going to take a look. You go back first."

Shen Bingtong didn't move.

"I can go with you."

Qin Feng looked at her.

"No need."

Shen Bingtong didn't say anything more. She put the phone back on the center console,

picked up her shopping bags, pushed open the car door, and got out.

She stood by the roadside, holding paper bags from several different brands in her hands.

Qin Feng rolled down the window.

"Tell Gu Qianqian when you get home that I went to take care of something."

Shen Bingtong nodded.

...

Forty minutes later.

Qinsheng Security Base.

This place was on the edge of the Jiangning Development Zone, bearing the sign of the Qinsheng Property Management Center.

It was a three-story building.

It looked completely ordinary from the outside.

The two underground floors were where the real business was.

Qin Feng swiped his card and entered. The security captain was already waiting in the hallway.

He was just over 1.8 meters tall, with a buzz cut, broad shoulders, and a walkie-talkie clipped to his waist.

"Mr. Qin."

Qin Feng asked as he walked.

"How has she been reacting lately?"

The captain followed half a step behind.

"Eating normally, sleeping normally, but not talking."

"She won't answer anything you ask?"

"Not a single word."

"How is her injury?"

"Soft tissue contusion on her right shoulder. We had someone treat it, and it healed long ago. The zip ties have been removed and replaced with metal handcuffs."

Qin Feng walked to the end of the first basement floor.

Two security guards stood outside the iron door.

A blue plastic bucket sat in the corner, with disposable paper cups beside it.

The fluorescent lights cast a cold, white glow.

"Bring her to the interrogation room."

"Remove all the equipment."

The captain was stunned for a moment.

"All of it? No audio or video recording left?"

"Yes. Those are useless."

Qin Feng glanced at the iron door.

"Give her some water and bring some food."

The captain nodded and turned to make the arrangements.

Five minutes later.

The interrogation room door opened.

Iris was escorted in by two security guards.

Metal handcuffs bound her wrists in front of her. A bandage was taped to her right shoulder, and her gray work jacket had been replaced with a white T-shirt provided by the base.

Her short hair was messy, and her light-colored pupils swept across the room.

No cameras.

No recording devices.

No one-way glass.

There was only an iron chair and a bottle of mineral water.

And Qin Feng, who sat opposite her.

The security guards pressed her down onto the chair, stepped out, and closed the door.

The sound of the lock turning was crystal clear.

Iris looked at Qin Feng.

Qin Feng looked at her as well.

He silently thought to himself.

Eye of Insight, activate.

The data panel expanded once again.

[Inner Desire: Freedom]

[Deep Dislike: Being controlled by the organization, meaningless sacrifice, self-pity of the weak]

Qin Feng closed the panel.

Freedom.

She also wanted to break free from the organization.

"Have you eaten?"

Iris didn't answer.

Qin Feng leaned back against his chair, his hands resting on the edges of the armrests.

"I'm asking you a question."

Iris's lips twitched slightly.

"I've eaten."

"Organization ID."

Silence.

"Contact method for your handler."

Silence.

"Which chain does the payment channel use?"

Iris raised her eyes to look at him.

"Do you think I'll tell you?"

Qin Feng stood up.

The legs of the chair scraped against the floor, making a short, sharp sound.

He walked over to Iris and leaned down.

"Let me lay out your current situation for you."

"Mission failed."

"Identity exposed."

"Captured alive by me."

"The organization cancelled the order."

"Agent credit deducted."

Qin Feng turned his phone screen toward her.

On the screen were several lines of status he had screenshotted from the Dark Web's mission interface.

[Mission Status: Failed]

[Agent Credit Deducting]

[Employer-side Cancellation Request Confirmed]

There was another line of small text below.

[Risk ID entered the elimination evaluation pool]

Iris's fingers brushed against the chain of the handcuffs.

The metal clinked.

Qin Feng reached out, grabbing Iris's chin with his fingers to lift her face.

Iris tried to turn her head away.

The handcuff chain clinked again.

Qin Feng gave her no room to move, tightening his grip.

"Can you even go back?"

Iris's throat moved slightly.

Qin Feng's thumb pressed against the side of her jaw. The pressure wasn't great, but she couldn't budge.

"Even if you escaped from here right now and returned to the organization..."

"What do you think would be waiting for you?"

A trace of chaotic light flickered in Iris's light-colored pupils.

She had seen it before.

Her senior, Agent III.

The mission failed, and three days later, his body appeared in a Budapest garbage dump.

Agent IX.

Identity exposed, and vanished from all systems within forty-eight hours.

The organization didn't keep useless people.

"And it certainly didn't leave risks behind."

"What are you trying to say?"

Iris's voice was low.

Qin Feng let go of her jaw.

"I'm saying you only have two paths right now."

"The first is to keep holding out."

"I have no patience. If you hold out to the end, I'll dispose of you."

"Clean and quick."

"The second is to give me something useful."

"And I will give you a new path."

Iris stared at him.

"A new path? You think I'd believe you?"
