208: Chapter 208 The Darkness Behind the Brilliant Galaxy

Within Qian Mo's System space, the phantom of a mirror carved with strange patterns was slowly dissipating.

There were four short lines of text on the mirror's surface:

[Is Young Miss Xing Yan my previous family member, Xing Yaoyan?]

[Yes]

[Then... when would be the best time for me to go and acknowledge her?]

[Twelve o'clock tonight, on Wenqing Bridge... Remember to go empty-handed; she's not like other girls who like those frivolous things.]

The mirror flipped, and on its back were two traditional characters written in a powerful, vigorous script: "Dispelling Delusions".

Soon, it vanished completely, finally transforming into a bunch of blue hyacinths...

Meanwhile, tens of thousands of miles away in the Imperial City of the Kingdom of Myriad Demons.

Tushan Qing, who was lying on a lounge chair wearing a face mask, had a slight stir of thought. He set the book in his hand aside and turned to look at the night sky outside the window.

There seemed to be an extraordinary number of stars in the sky today. Many demons and humans stood on the streets out of curiosity, taking frantic photos with their phones to record this rare anomaly.

From time to time, exclamations of wonder could be heard from the crowds of demons.

Tushan Qing didn't react like the other demons. He simply got off the lounge chair slowly, picked up the fan by the table, walked to the window, and looked into the endless darkness behind the radiant stars, a smile filled with complex emotions appearing on his face.

"It's been hard on you..."

...

In front of the "ruins" of the underground bar.

Moss, who had just returned from a stealth mission only to find his property destroyed, was being supported by the transformed Chi Xie and Yue Hua. Tears rolled down his cheeks uncontrollably.

"My money..."

"Everyone! Look at the sky!"

Suddenly, Mo Yuling's blustering voice came from the temporary tent they had set up.

The three of them quickly looked up.

They were shocked by the scene before them almost instantly.

"Mo... Moss... what's going on... I remember the 'Star Calamity' hasn't arrived yet, so why can I see so many 'stars'?"

Chi Xie spoke stutteringly, feeling as though his understanding of the world had been completely overturned.

"No, this isn't the 'Starry Sky' exclusive to the eyes of us Star Beasts. These stars are real stars..."

The Dream Beast shook his head, speaking with an uncertain tone.

He felt a stabbing pain in his brain; it seemed there were clues deeply related to today's scene within his missing important memories...

"But didn't you tell us that we shouldn't be able to see so many true stars?"

Yue Hua further questioned.

"I... I don't know..."

Because the four little ones were too low in strength, they didn't feel anything. But at the Dream Beast's Realm, he could feel an invisible pressure behind the beauty of that radiant starry sky.

There were some things it was better for them not to know...

...

Outside the door of a certain four-person male dormitory.

"Eh, Feng Qing? You're not asleep yet?"

Feng Xiu, who had returned from a mission carrying the scent of blood, looked with confusion at the bespectacled youth leaning against the dormitory window and peering anxiously inside.

"Big Brother Feng?! You're back..."

Feng Qing hadn't noticed his arrival at all and seemed to be startled.

"What's wrong? You brat, I can tell there's a problem just by your sneaky look. Tell me, what is it? Is someone bullying you? I'll stand up for you."

Feng Xiu casually pulled a blood-stained long saber from his Storage Ring, his Killing Intent surging.

In his heart, he had already accepted Feng Qing as his little brother. If his little brother was in trouble, the big brother definitely had to help him out.

Feng Qing pointed toward the inside of the dormitory.

The Killing Intent on Feng Xiu's body suddenly dissipated as he said awkwardly:

"Qian Mo is bullying you? Uh... I don't think I can beat him..."

After Qian Mo had recovered from his injuries last time, Feng Xiu had specifically used his own unique method to invite him for another match on the battle stage.

Well... he was completely crushed...

He had originally relied on the experience accumulated from countless slaughters in the "City of Sin" to challenge him to a duel without using Superpowers. But the result was that he was completely overwhelmed in both combat techniques and experience.

As the fight went on, he got desperate and wanted to activate his Superpower, and then Qian Mo activated his Superpower as well.

He saw a massive phantom of a black scale emerge from behind Qian Mo, and then his own Superpower became unusable. And then... there was no 'and then'...

It could be said that Qian Mo's resentment seemed particularly high at that time, and his control of force was excellent. He tormented Feng Xiu for several hours, yet the detection alarm on the battle stage designed to prevent serious injury never even rang...

After that battle, he regarded Qian Mo as his second greatest rival.

As for the first... it was definitely the Saintess of the Demon Race who had punched him into a wall back then, requiring quite a long time to pry him out...

"No, no..."

Feng Qing quickly waved his hands and pointed toward the bulging dark shadow on the bed further back in the room.

Following his finger, Feng Xiu immediately breathed a sigh of relief.

That wasn't Qian Mo's bed; it was his underling Yun Lan's.

Although it wasn't good for him to touch this guy himself, compared to Qian Mo, going over to give him a warning was absolutely no problem.

Just as he was about to push open the door with a powerful Aura to teach him a lesson, Feng Qing quickly pulled him back.

"Um, Big Brother Feng, he didn't bully me."

Familiar with Feng Xiu, Feng Qing guessed his thoughts almost instantly.

"I wanted to ask you not to disturb him..."

"What happened to him..."

"I don't know, but he asked me to help him block people outside. He seems to have suddenly fallen ill, but he said it's an old problem and he'll be fine soon."

Hearing this, the white-haired youth put away his saber and shrugged.

"Fine, I'll wait until he's better before going in. But if I find out later that this guy was in the dorm watching girls and getting 'excited', I definitely won't let him off..."

As he spoke, he struck a murderous expression.

Feng Qing smiled awkwardly but politely, thinking to himself that despite crawling out of a pile of corpses in the City of Sin, his big brother actually knew quite a lot...

"By the way... have you noticed there are quite a lot of stars today..."

"Tsk, what's so strange about that? I got tired of seeing them every day back in the City of Sin..."

The two of them chatted idly outside the door.

Meanwhile, inside the dormitory.

Yun Lan was curled up under his covers, clutching his head in agony.

Countless beads of sweat flowed over his body; he looked as if he were soaked through.

"What bullshit Star Gazer? I don't want to be one! I want revenge! I won't take on responsibilities that aren't mine for the sake of some 'humanity's cause'! Damn it... I finally managed to suppress you for a few months, shut up!!"
