200: Chapter 200 Entering the Dungeon

A few days passed quickly, so quickly that many in the fleet hadn't yet recovered from the shadow of the black tide before the winds of the Ghost Sea were already blowing against their faces.

The surface of the sea was no longer just black; beneath the black water, blurry human faces would occasionally float up.

They had no eyes, only open mouths, as if waiting for the ships to sink.

In the fleet channel, no one joked anymore; all ships were regrouped according to Su Mei's orders.

The Many Children, Many Blessings was in the center, with the core fleet providing protection in three layers and gunboats spread out on the periphery.

The Floating Power Core completed its first test.

The Many Children, Many Blessings hovered thirty zhang above the sea for fifteen minutes.

This wasn't a long time, but in the Ghost Sea, fifteen minutes was enough to avoid a total catastrophe.

Three Gravity Suppression Turrets were also installed, their muzzles pitch-black and surrounded by carved runes.

When Shen Xiu first saw these things on his own core vessel, he circled the turret three times.

"Does this thing hurt when it hits someone?"

Yun Jinxin looked up at him.

"You want to try?"

Shen Xiu immediately backed away.

"I just love learning."

He Yushui passed by, carrying medicine in her hands.

"You love seeking death."

Meanwhile, inside the captain's cabin of the Many Children, Many Blessings.

Li Taiping stood by the window, the black tide remnant key hovering in his palm.

It had been quiet for seven days, no longer cutting through space, calling his name, or revealing that snowy plain.

But Li Taiping knew it wasn't being quiet; it was waiting, waiting for him to take the initiative to reach out.

Su Mei stood behind him and draped a black outer robe over his shoulders.

"Are you really going in now?"

Li Taiping nodded.

"The Ghost Sea is coming."

"In the Former Dynasty World, there might be something that can deal with the Ghost Sea and the black tide."

Su Mei didn't try to persuade him; she just straightened his collar for him, her movements slow and gentle.

Li Taiping looked down at her.

"Reluctant to see me go?"

Su Mei looked up.

"Yes."

The answer was direct, making Li Taiping smile instead.

Su Mei reached out and pressed her hand against his chest.

"I won't stop you."

"But remember, in the Former Dynasty World, no matter who you see, suspect them first."

"Including Su Jie."

"Including the future you."

"Including me."

Li Taiping asked, "Even suspect you?"

Su Mei looked at him, "If that 'me' asks you to stay..."

"Kill her."

The room went silent for a moment.

Li Taiping reached out and pinched her cheek.

"So ruthless?"

Su Mei slapped his hand away.

"I've always been impolite to an Imposter."

Outside the door, Bing Yu crouched in the corner, her tail feeling a chill as she listened.

She whispered to herself, "Fortunately, I'm not an Imposter."

He Yushui poked her head out from nearby.

"Are you sure?"

Bing Yu's fur stood on end.

"Of course I'm sure!"

He Yushui nodded.

"Then continue handing over information about the Former Dynasty World."

Bing Yu: "..."

There are no fox rights on this ship.

The captain's cabin door opened, and Li Taiping stepped out.

On the balcony, Su Mei, He Yushui, Yun Jinxin, and Bing Yu were all there.

In the distance, on the decks of other ships in the fleet, Shen He led the core captains to kneel on one knee from afar.

Further away, on every warship, the Survivors bowed their heads.

No one shouted.

It wasn't that they didn't want to, but they knew that this time Li Taiping wasn't going out to hunt monsters; he was entering a world where even time was irrational.

Li Taiping's gaze swept over the fleet.

"After I leave."

"Su Mei will command the ship."

"He Yushui will oversee medical matters."

"Yun Jinxin will oversee manufacturing."

"Shen He will oversee military discipline."

"Shen Xiu will oversee the blade."

Shen Xiu immediately looked up.

"Don't worry, Holy Father. Whoever causes trouble, I'll cut them down."

Li Taiping said indifferently, "Don't cut our own people."

Shen Xiu paused.

"Then I'll break their legs."

Su Mei glanced at him.

Shen Xiu immediately changed his tune.

"Educate them first."

He Yushui whispered, "He's matured, but not by much."

Li Taiping said no more.

He raised his hand, and the black tide remnant key flew up, its tip piercing into the void.

Ssshh.

A black-gold door slit opened in mid-air.

Behind the door was not snow, but only a chaotic gray light.

Deep within the gray light, there were faint glimpses of city walls, warships, an upside-down moon, and a very large eye.

That eye flashed past, as if it were looking at him.

Text appeared on the surface of the black tide remnant key.
