202: Chapter 202 Anna's Frostwolf Puppy
Beside Anna's bow, a small ice-blue pup lay on a soft cushion.
The cushion was white fleece with gold thread sewn along the edges; it was clear that this wasn't ordinary pet treatment, but the treatment of the ship's second-ranking ancestor.
As for the number one ancestor, it was naturally the unborn little fellow in Anna's belly.
The little pup had short ears, a fluffy tail, and four paws tucked under its body; its nose twitched occasionally, making it look milky and cute, without the slightest hint of a threat.
Because it was so small, when the female Crew Members on deck passed by, they couldn't help but lighten their steps, fearing they might accidentally step on its tail.
A female Crew Member squatted down.
She slung her crossbow onto her back and reached out, gently patting the pup's head.
"Little Frost, you're going to meet your Male Master too."
The pup lifted its eyelids and glanced at her with ice-blue pupils, looking very lazy and disdainful.
It was as if it were saying: This King is sleeping, don't come here trying to leech off my popularity.
The female Crew Member, however, was so charmed she clutched her chest.
"Ah, it just looked at me! It has me in its heart!"
Someone nearby rolled their eyes.
"Wake up, it's just too lazy to bite you."
"Nonsense, it's clearly very cute."
"Little Frost is cute, but don't forget, it was left behind by the Male Master."
As soon as these words were spoken, several female Crew Members at the bow immediately looked toward Anna.
Anna sat on a high-backed chair, her white light armor hugging her waistline, her blonde hair falling over her shoulders.
One hand rested gently on her slightly bulging lower abdomen, while the other propped up her chin as she watched the distant Ghost Sea mist, the corners of her mouth never dropping.
The female Crew Members exchanged secret glances.
Understood.
The Captain has started missing her husband again.
They had grown used to this over the past few days.
Three things every day:
Patrol the sea, kill monsters, and listen to the Captain talk about her husband.
Yet, every time Anna mentioned that man, her eyes would light up.
It didn't seem like she was reminiscing; it was more like she was declaring that her man would definitely be waiting for her up ahead.
There was no logical reason, but she was simply certain.
The sea breeze blew through the sails, the Golden Iris emblem billowing in the wind as the platinum-white ship broke through the waves.
The waters of Mofeng Mountain and Sea were very strange, with the shadows of distant mountains hanging upside down on the surface.
Eerie mist pressed in from the boundaries, cold and viscous; whispers occasionally drifted from within, like someone calling a name from across the water.
The Crew Members didn't dare listen closely; they had all heard Anna's orders.
On this sea, if anyone hears a relative calling them, knock them out immediately.
Familial affection fraud—Sea Territory Limited Edition.
Just then.
The bottom of the ship suddenly jolted, as if some gargantuan object had brushed past beneath the hull.
The expression of the female Crew Member standing at the port side changed; she immediately leaned over and looked at the sea surface.
The ink-colored seawater seemed to be pushed up from below by something; the waves squeezed to both sides, and the ship began to tilt.
A wine glass on the deck rolled off, hitting the leg of a chair with a thud.
Anna lowered her eyes, looked at her lower abdomen, and pressed her palm down gently as if to soothe it.
The next second.
The inky waves exploded.
Boom—!
The sea surface was violently torn apart as a black-and-white giant whale surged out from the depths.
It was too massive; when only half its body was out of the water, it already blocked a large portion of light from the port side. Its slippery skin was covered in old scars, and black slime seeped from every wound.
It opened its massive maw, with rows of teeth like inverted spears; a fishy wind swept over the deck.
Several female Crew Members were blown back half a step, one of them turning pale.
"Sea monster!"
"Port side!"
"It's too close!"
"No time to turn!"
Alarms instantly blared, red rune lamps lighting up one after another. The gunwale crossbows spun rapidly, but the giant whale was already pressed against the hull.
Someone gripped the crossbow trigger tightly.
"Captain!"
But Anna remained calm.
The aura of the Excellent Initial Stage pressed against the side of the ship, the sea breeze seeming to be crushed, yet there was no panic on her face.
She merely looked down at the little pup still lying on the cushion beside her.
"Little Frost."
"Don't wake the baby."
The pup's ears twitched as it slowly opened its eyes; the laziness hadn't yet faded from those ice-blue eyes.
It pushed its front paws forward and flicked its tail gently, looking exactly like it had just woken up.
By the port side, a female Crew Member was so anxious she was about to jump up.
"It's still stretching!"
"The whale is about to bite!"
"Don't rush it."
Another female Crew Member stared intently at Little Frost.
"It was left behind by the Male Master."
"There must be a reason."
As soon as she finished speaking.
An ice-blue light exploded.
